Great job this is the first time I’ve seen this channel. I’m totally into RC boats. Never had cars and planes only been doing it for two years. Have a Oxidine dominator best no flips 96 mph, and my animal all stock electronics 126 no flips 132 but then ran it on the rocks. This is your first video I have seen anxious to check out the other ones. I am very impressed. Great job.
Oh man, that sucks! I’m not sure if this is Rob. I would check your cooling first. Maybe increase the pick up inlets on your rudder and tubing size. I drilled out my rudder, pick ups, nipples on the motor and increase my tubing ID and I’ve seen a significant decrease in temps
A now i get it (2200kv on 8s). I assume you "loose some speed" because off small prop and hi kv and blow the motor because off rpm. I can tell what i have to give maybe guideline. My thoughts; i ran 89+ with 1650kv 4092 and 45-3blade no crazy temps and able to play around with it a full pack with some full pulls. Since your trying to set a 100, i would try a 1800kv, also would install a fan on motor since your running single runs so has extra cooling for the extra heat generated by higher kv. Dont know the oxi props, but they look to be very good 2 blades, so get a couple off sizes. One extra mm prop is about 1-2mph.. 1 inch shortened rudderblade is about 3-4 mph. On my boat also strut near neutral was best, also tried bit up and lipo's more forward but gained few mph by lowering it and putting lipo's bit more back. Thats what i can tell and measured and experienced so far on my dom. Btw got a 1800 in it now, but don't run anymore this season because its getting cold and don't have rescue boat... Maybe this helps, maybe some one else has better tips. I also truly believe 100+ is possible and think Raider might be a better hull also to do so.
For your information, any TP CM motor i bought i blew all of them...and i mean almost 10 motors...so i quit buying them...yes i use them like you...if they are rated for 6s..heck 8s on the face! :) Nah...but they still blow...guess the adverstivenment is for 10seconds only...and they are right! Past 5 they smoke! :P the normal ones with low KV are power horse monster and are sure safe...being using them for almost a decade and none died...by low kv i mean 1250kv or 1500kv!
@@gen1power102 I also run sss btw... Not saying tp isn't any good, but cheaper and good for sure. Pushing it maybe bit less, but never had an issue with it. And with same setup blew a castle 1520 in 3 runs, so an expensive motor doesn't mean its better if you ask me...
You are not into the rc game... worl record of guiness in rc car is 202mph...but there are people doing 220mph...but not recorded into the Guiness. As for rc boats in Europe, my location we usually do +300kmh in to rc boats... and the most i know recorded and on youtube in Germany is a 330kmh (206mph). But keep in mind the normal rc boats we buy RTR (made to run) on the hobbyshops are made to run at max 80kmh...and the average joe can make them to run at 100mkh (60mph). Anything more then that is just absolute caos for the average joe! So seeing is a real 90mph rc boat is an work of art...even if the motor smokes in 5 seconds...it made the numbers! 2200kv on 8s and a x445 prop does really 90mph..see the calculator online.. www.radiocontrolinfo.com/information/rc-calculators/rc-boat-calculator/

Thanks Bro. Yes Sir stay tuned cause we’re gonna go for some big numbers or go broke 🤟

Heck yeah thanks Bro 🤟🤟🤟
In all honesty it was a 6S motor and I was running it on 8S.
@@Wildwilliesrc well there you have it

Thanks for all the advice. Yes I think so too. It’s a very stable hull. Thanks again Brother 🤟
Great advice.

That’s for sure I’m not buying anymore.
Well!? This explains a lot!
BOAT, ya break out another 100 or 3. Well it was cool.
Bro the hobby is so expensive. It never ends 😂🤟
That stinks man, surprised a TP got that hot. I've had good luck with leopard motors
258 degrees
What GPS do you guys use? I'm swapping from rc Buggys to rc boats and wanna get a GPS to track speed.
I use the GNSS with the RC Gears app.
Is your motor water cooled ? Id get a water cooling set up and run a leopard motor
Yes sir it’s water cooled. Not a big enough cooling jacket though.
I run sss brother… they’re top notch and if GEN 1 can’t blow it it’s truly unbreakable! 💪🏽
I already ordered a TP but a lower kv. I’m going to try SSS next for sure. Thanks for watching and I watch all your vids 🤟🤟🤟

You asked for suggestions. Here's mine. Go with R/C aircraft.
Why???
90 mph scale maybe, but certainly not real 90 mph. Probably 40 or 50 legit.
Okay Bro 😂
Is there such a thing as scale speed vs real speed?! If the GNSS has an object moving at X speed isn’t that real ?
