@@carter812 I want somebody to give me on good reason why we needed the avatar and Infinite, There are mods out there which replace the avatar with Tails and it's really heartwarming to see Sonic and Tails doing the double boost and Sonic calling Tails partner and Best friend is just so touching, and the best part is with the tag team stages both characters actually talk instead of the Avatar being silent the whole game because all in game ocs go by the rule of the main character being unable to talk which is stupid. Also from a story stand point with tails having "lost it" he could've been cooped up in a bunker with rescued wisps eggman created with the phantom ruby to create the wispons which he had been working on in solitude for the 6 months in the dark. and just after that, we have him going to rescue Sonic
To be fair, the edits don't improve things much. But now that I think about it, I finally figured out what was missing: where the fuck are all the slopes, curves, and enemies?! You couldn't get through a single level in the classics without going through enough rounded terrain and badniks for multiple Forces levels.
He pretty much carries Classic the whole game, being stuck to look weak, so Classic can look strong. I mean they didn't even let Tails do anything in Forces at all! "Just look cute and helpless, kid Just look cute and helpless," must have been Sega's direction for him when handing out the scripts when he asks why can't he get involved any of the action like he used to.

But I feel along with Classic weighing Tails down, the Player Avatar was just as much to blame, as look at when Sonic was being sucked into Null Space. Tails: Hang on Sonic! I'll help you! But with Tails in Forces I have my own thing which basically during the fight against Infinite rather rather than having his tablet thing he'd be racing to met Sonic with the Chaos Emeralds. To help turn the tide in the war against Eggman. But by the time he gets there he finds Sonic fighting Infinite and its not going well. Filled with a surge of emotion, seeing Sonic in such a bad way, Tails lets out a scream and goes Super (god, could this be anymore Dragonball like?). He puts up a good fight against Infinite but it's not enough as he burns himself out unable to beat him. Sonic would have gotten enough time to catch his breath to save Tails before Knuckles swings by to get the fox cub out of there on Sonic's instructions. Word later reaches the resistance that Sonic dead and Tails loses it. He runs away and spends the next six months wallowing in despair until one day while looking for a place to hide during a thunderstorm he finds himself in his old workshop, and inside it the original Tornado, Sonic's plane. Despite being depressed for the past six months, the sight of the bi-plane puts a spark back in Tails' eyes as he tries to get the plane back in the air, but due to his mental state not being the greatest he can't do it. He looks at the set of keys Sonic gave him for the plane and after remembering what happened to Sonic he breaks down into tears feeling guilty that he couldn't save him. Chaos then appears which scares the young fox cub, much like in Forces, and when he attacks Tails the fox cub makes no real effort to defend himself because his confidence has been shattered and he feels he can't fight anymore. After being smacked about by Chaos for abit, he sees him turn his attention to the Tornado and begin attacking it. Tails' eyes widen in horror not wanting to see the plane, his only connection he has left to Sonic be destroyed, and that forces him to get back to his feet and fight. After driving Chaos away he feels a weight's been lift and manages to get the Tornado running again so he can get back home to the resistance base and help the others. The ofcourse word would get that Sonic is alive and Tails go storm the prison to save him, after doing a few other missions while building his confidence back up. Also as well in the time leading up to that, with fighting the war against Eggman, in Forces, it wouldn't have been going so well and through running and hiding for a while it'd start to take it's toll on Tails' metal state. Hence why he's freezing up while facing regular Egg Pawns he would have smashed no problem, without breaking a sweat. But after Infinite "kills" Sonic, it proves to be the straw that broke the camel's back, hence why he's not as vengeful as he was in SA2, after seeing Eggman "kill" Sonic, by ejecting him out into space in that pod.

Don't get me wrong, but I feel like SEGA could've given Forces patch updates to fix the level design or physics. Another thing, I love the details at each end of the stage! Especially where Modern Eggman is on the signpost instead of Classic Eggman!

You know, I never noticed they just reused the Spin Signpost from Generations and not change it to reflect Eggman or the Eggman Empire. It's just Robotnik on there... nice touch on the modder's part
For as much as I like Classic Sonic, they really need to ditch the cheap marketing gimmick and focus on the other characters, letting them be playable again. Because outside of Boom, the last time Amy, Knux and Miles were playable in a mainline 3D game was over 10 years ago! I think having them be playable in Forces, instead Classic Sonic and that THING we might have gotten a better story given that the other characters were allowed to do something in the game and as a pleasant side effect of that means that their roles in the story would have to be expanded upon to reflect what their doing during gameplay. And no they shouldn't be stuck with no silly toy guns and instead be closer to their SA1 (and SA2 for Knuckles) incarnations

Just hanging out in the back like some cardboard cutout. I mean considering how both of them reacted after having some time to grieve for Sonic at the end of the Hero story of Adventure 2, she'd have abit more than that. Especially when you consider Sonic X, and he wasn't even "dead" and it was only a week he was gone compared to the months of Forces. And considering both have the serious emotional attachment to him, it should have been Tails and Amy to save Sonic, instead of that no name Joe, and there you'd have your team of three for the escape. Plus with Sonic being tortured, he'd need the extra help. Yes here he would actually really be roughed up quite abit instead of simply chilling out at Hotel Eggman the 6 months.

In every single video of a sonic fangame there's only one level with a few graphics and the only thing i see in the comments it's: "sega must hear the fandom" or "this thing it's better than the whole sonic team"
Okay, now this became a lot more interesting. Of course, the vanilla stage layout is still a bit limiting but overall it feels a lot better to playthrough and look at.

I like how they updated Classic Sonic’s model to make his eyebrows as pronounced as they look in the box art. That’s something that always confused me about forces and generations; Why give him the exaggerated facial expression on the box if the actual model is lacking it? They had the technology.
@@NeoDeXs even then, the in game model made him look way too rounded and passive compared to literally all his renders that gave him attitude. This restored some of that depth and personality to his design.
Ironically, I'd say that classic sonic had the best levels in the game, but unfortunately, his physics were so weird as to make every single one unenjoyable. this mod seems to fix that problem, so that the good level design (not amazing, but good) gets to shine through.

Forces had the potential to be an amazing game, with three of the best play styles, but they screwed it up, and now the game is looking much better than the actual product. That’s pretty sad
I can say with confidence that this work is 10 times better than the one in the actual game even if one is by fans and the other is by a company. Because with this game the freaking company had 2 rookies be the level designers.
(There’s probably a lot more but of course the two main people is a Shrek shitposter and a duck lol, even then, the fact that there’s this group of fans that did all of this and not an official team that is supposed to be experts on this sorta stuff just speaks volumes as to what is going on behind the scenes of these games)
Ooh And then Metal was the villain of Sonic's, and then Infinite is the villain of the OC's sub story, with them crossing over at times and eventually, Infinite becomes the main threat for the rest of the story.
Man... just watching this you can tell without playing that Classic Sonic play SO much better here. And love the intros. That's why I got the PC version of Sonic Forces... for mods! Sadly, nothing yet during the early days. I might get this to fix Classic Sonic. Seeing as I've already 100% the PS4, Switch and PC versions of the game. Kinda hoping for a Human (cartoonish design) Avatar mod to mess with in the future.

i already have a question 2 minutes in: why keep the Tails dialoge boxes? I always thought it was weird in Forces since Tails wasn't speaking over radio. I feel like being able to see him fly above you during gameplay would make sense
to be honest, to make a good auto scroll level in sonic forces, make it scroll really fast. that way its racing against the scrolling instead of waiting for it

My favorite Sonic Forces zone, I love Ghost Town. It's cool to see how the mods make the experience even more complete.

Sonic has two designs: Us sonic and Japan sonic, games use Japan sonic, us sonic was used in the US box art.

Forces had the potential to be an amazing game, with three of the best play styles, but they screwed it up, and now the game is looking much better than the actual product. That’s pretty sad
Honestly i like what I'm seeing and hope that these improvements may make even sonic forces a step closer the game we all hoped it to be

I can say with confidence that this work is 10 times better than the one in the actual game even if one is by fans and the other is by a company.
Because with this game the freaking company had 2 rookies be the level designers.

And then Metal was the villain of Sonic's, and then Infinite is the villain of the OC's sub story, with them crossing over at times and eventually, Infinite becomes the main threat for the rest of the story.
Man... just watching this you can tell without playing that Classic Sonic play SO much better here. And love the intros.
That's why I got the PC version of Sonic Forces... for mods! Sadly, nothing yet during the early days. I might get this to fix Classic Sonic. Seeing as I've already 100% the PS4, Switch and PC versions of the game.

i already have a question 2 minutes in: why keep the Tails dialoge boxes? I always thought it was weird in Forces since Tails wasn't speaking over radio. I feel like being able to see him fly above you during gameplay would make sense
Is there a dedicated spin dash button like in Generations? I couldn't believe they got rid of that in Forces.

to be honest, to make a good auto scroll level in sonic forces, make it scroll really fast. that way its racing against the scrolling instead of waiting for it
