So the lore with this and a few of the other films (similar to some Native American tribes) have a hunt to prove themselves for adulthood. They get dropped on a planet and have to beat the most dangerous creatures. That's why he looked at the scorpion because they feared it. And they collect teophies from their hunts. That's why he tore Billy's spine out. I really enjoyed this reaction. New to your channel and see. You were new to YT reacting. Good luck on your journey. I've seen you have a good start, and I can't wait to see the rest of your videos. I love Predator, Aliens, and Hill House.
Hey thanks so much for checking out the video! Glad you enjoyed it! And glad to hear you are a fan of the other stuff currently on the channel! It's been a wild ride so far!! 😅
The Predator Honor Code is a set of beliefs and values that guide the behavior of the Yautja. These beliefs are deeply ingrained in their culture and are passed down from generation to generation. Yautja warriors are expected to conduct themselves with honor at all times, even in the heat of battle. The franchise gave fans a deeper look into how the Predators choose their prey as well as how their hunts are conducted. One thing that has rung true from the very beginning is that the Predator's code of honor which states that a Predator must only kill worthy prey.
Hey, Ryan! I watched this one twice, but got distracted every time I wanted to type a comment. Great reaction and loved that you liked the film so much, especially going in blind and all. I remember renting it waaay back as a kid and just being amazed by so many things in it: the action, the guns, the humor, the monster, you name it! Not without reason is _Predator_ up there with _Rocky_ usually considered as "the manliest movie ever made", haha. The first part is definitely more action or even comedy oriented but later it goes more into horror/sci-fi territory, as you noticed yourself. I swear it was not my intent to make this a habit but: best jumpscare, when the Predator shoots his plasmacasterfor the first time while your best line is either "Well, let's hope the hostages weren't in there." or "That's the line!", haha. However, you seemed most uncomfortable with that scene of Mac shaving himself! And to answer one of your questions that picked my brain: according to other media in the franchise, the plot of this film happens either in Guatemala or Venezuela. However, a popular fan theory is that it is set in a totally fictional country Val Verde, which Steven Souza, a very prominent 80s Hollywood writer and producer, would use as a placeholder whenever he needed to plot to be in Central or South America. If you have not, I would definitely suggest _Commando_ as a must-watch 80s action comedy, since it also stars Schwarzenegger, was written by Souza and is set in Val Verde.
Hey, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! This was such a fun one, I LOVED the setting for it! I don't know why the shaving bit grossed me out so much haha! Oooh thats some interesting info about the country, Thanks for that! I haven't seen Commando so I'll add it to the list! Love a bit of Arnie fun!! Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it 😁
@@SofaSloths Always happy to help and i'm positive you will find _Commando_ very enjoyable to react to. Anyway, definitely have to make time to check out _Predator 2_ and _Alien 3_ now. Cheers!
