"Get to the CHOPPA!" Because...someone has to say it. Anyway, after this and Terminator turning to comedy was one of the most brilliant career moves ever. The contrast is genius.
Epilogue: HE GOT TO THE CHOPPA!! 😉
Not my favorite line.....best line is "I aint got TIME to bleed!"
True Lies is my favourite, mixture of action & comedy.
@@Stogie2112 😂
@@GhostWatcher2024 " You got time to duck " ? Tops that one ... lol
I think this is such a unique film. It starts out as a typical 80s war movie and then changes genre and becomes a horrific gore monster film that also happens to be an extraterrestrial! -OG
Look people can argue it if they want, but I think this is Arnold's best movie. I've seen Predator so many times. I've watched it at least once a year since I was 10, and it never gets old. There are a ton of great Arnold movies, but Predator is the one I come back to time and again. I think because it leaves so many unanswered questions it never really feels stale. Plus, this is pitch perfect 80s macho cheese. The lines are so cheesy, but the little boy in you still thinks they're bad ass. Me and my friends all still quote this movie at least once a month. It's just perfect.
je plussoie...
You said Brother
I've been waiting years for a chance to say "I don't have time to bleed" while bleeding in a dire situation.
Same, watched it as a kid, and then watched it again maybe 10 times and probably still watch it again. This movie is timeless 👌
Couldn’t agree more , this is Arnold’s Masterpiece
I'm glad they don't reveal too much about the Predator in this movie. They say less is more. The less you know about the Predator, the scarier he becomes.
But it's also twofold. Because we know so little about the Predator, the more we want to know more about what makes him tick!
The perfect formula for a sequel! -OG
Fun facts, the black chopper pilot at the end is the actor who was in the predator suit. The predator image running towards Dillon was a clip used when Jean Claude Van Damme was the predator, but quit due to the heat. When Mac goes nuts he is singing the same song "Long Tall Sally" as Blaine was playing the chopper. If you notice, in the beginning, the predator uses the trees and is "invisible", this dynamic changes, when Dutch uses the Mud and then attacks from the tree. And the predator reacts just like the commandos, by shooting in every direction.
You wouldn't know it from the final product but filming Predator was a SLOG! Weather was rarely working with them, people were getting injured or sick including Schwarzenegger, the actor who played Billy was constantly getting in trouble on and off the set! But all the hard work and determination paid off and Predator still stands up as one of the greatest action/thriller/horror/survival films of all time! "Anytime..."😈
"You're hit, man. You're bleedin'."
"I ain't got time to bleed."
"Oh... okay."
Fun Fact: Theatrical film debut of Jesse Ventura and Shane Black.
Don't Drink It Fact: The Predator's (Kevin Peter Hall) blood - a goopy substance with the color of Mountain Dew - was made on-set using a mixture of the liquid from inside glow sticks and KY Jelly.
Practical Joke Fact: Jesse Ventura was delighted to find out from the wardrobe department that his arms were one inch bigger than Arnold Schwarzenegger's. He suggested to Schwarzenegger that they measure arms, with the winner getting a bottle of champagne. Ventura lost, because Schwarzenegger had told the wardrobe department to tell Ventura that his arms were bigger. You're going to have to get up much earlier in the day to get one over a professional practical joker.
Practical Effect Fact: The invisibility cloaking effect was achieved with a bright red suit (because it was the farthest opposite of the green of the jungle and the blue of the sky) the size of the Predator (Kevin Peter Hall). The red was removed with chroma key techniques, leaving an empty area. The take was then repeated without the actors using a 30% wider lens on the camera. When the two takes were combined optically, the jungle from the second take filled in the empty area. Because the second take was filmed with a wider lens, a vague outline of the alien could be seen with the background scenery bending around its shape.
These are the comments i look for. Thanks 👍 its always cool to hear how things are done
Otro dato : soy de Argentina.
Kevin peter hall recoge en el final a Schwarzenegger. Que lo mató a el cuando utiliza su autodestrucción . Es el piloto del helicóptero final .
Kevin peter hall media 2,20 m .
Y quién iba a ser de predator era jean claude van damme
Predator might be the best movie ever.
Kevin Peter Hall who played the Predator, was also a chopper pilot, at the end of the film.🚁
At the very end of the movie after the predator detonates his bomb the chopper pilot who looks down at the explosion is the guy who plays the Predator. The director felt bad because he was in the predator suit in the heat for so long and decided to give him an extra part in the film.
Two governors one movie. Arnold-California, Ventura-Minnesota.
MY #1 FAVORITE ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER!
Originally Jean Claude Van Damme was hired to play the title character, but quit production as he grew tired of wearing the suit, which looked like a lizard/insect hybrid.
Kevin Peter Hall, 1955-1991, was cast as the Predator as he was 7'2", making him more of an imposing figure against Arnold's character, Dutch.
Half the cast and crew got good poisoning except for Arnold and Director John McTiernan, whom ate spaghetti O's and PBJ sandwiches as they didn't want to eat any of the food. They would eat protein bars instead, as no hot meals were allowed onset.
The producers hired a bodyguard to protect people from Sonny Landham, 1941-2017, as he was prone to violent outbursts.
Landham said in an interview that "it wasn't a movie, it was a survival story for all of us."
It was 110° in the shade, while it was 42° in the shade.
It rained for 2 weeks, making filming even more difficult.
The scene where the stuntman falls off the cliff and into the water blew out his kneecap.
Oscar Winning VFX artist Stan Winston designed the Predator suit and would later return to the franchise for PREDATOR 2 in 1990.
The film was a box office success, making $100 million dollars ($360 million dollars today) against an $18 million dollar budget.
It was nominated for Best Visual Effects, but lost to InnerSpace.
It has been considered as one of the best Sci-fi Action movies ever made.
Additional fun fact. You got to see Kevin Peter Hall (The Predator) for a few seconds out of costume at the end of the movie. He was the helicopter pilot.
I saw Predator in the theater when it came out a few times. Great experience
jealous!! :)
Me too, as a kid. I was born in 1981. Last part I remember was the handshake. Fell asleep after that. Woke up when he was flying out on the chopper. That music was loud ASF, woke me up lol.
5:38 I don't think most people realize when watching this film, two of the men on this special forces team went on to become governors
Predator mimicking and taunting Dutch's men is not only intimidating 😳 but downright scary, too! Especially when the Predator uses Billy's laugh at the end of the film before the Predator nuked himself! -OG
2 governors and 1 almost governor came out of this movie: Arnie, Jesse Ventura and Sonny Landham (RIP 2017).
And I don't know if it's coincidence or not but the names Billy, Hawkins (the guy who died first), and Jim Hopper (one of the hanging skinned people), they're all in Stranger Things. If you haven't seen that show, DEFINITELY watch it.
shooting down the jungle scene is a legit battle tactic. getting caught in an ambush means you've lost control of the battlefield, it's an attempt to regain the battlefield initiative through overwhelming firepower.
Saw this in the theater when I was 19. It was my favorite movie ever for awhile. I thought it was the most badass thing I ever saw.
14:03 Arnie contractually writes in his Characters as "cigar smokers" in as many roles as possible.
Fun Fact: The Predator is voiced by the great Peter Cullen who does the voice of Optimus Prime.
esa peli es un classico, los afortunados q la vieron en el cine la pasaron de maravilla y disfrutaron todas las escenas .hay mucha accion ,suspenso y hasta terror
For me this is probably Arnold's best film in regards to overall acting, story and production, nothing I can put in the negative column for this one. That being said, it's not my favorite film he has done, but as far as checking all of the good film boxes go, Predator does that. This movie for sure was better than the sum of it's parts, as it was way better than it had any right to be(especially hearing about production issues it had) Total Recall is probably my favorite, but that movie has some not so perfect effects, and a few scenes come off a little janky, but overall an amazing film and story. T2 get's an honorable mention, as it falls in between these two amazing films, and is one of very few movies I saw 3x at the theater(as I almost never do that), as most films for me aren't worth one viewing.
Best movie of all time imo. I hope you two watch more of the Predator movies, it's an awesome franchise.
It's a franchise with two good movies and one kinda-okay fan film. Let's not get carried away. lol
@@ThatSamoanGuy It's just my opinion, to me I think all of the movies were good except the 2018 The Predator. I'm a huge Predator fan though, comics, games, and movies so I am biased.
I'm the king of the cheek busters.
This is simply one of the greatest 80s Sci Fi stories out there. When it came out, the looks of the pred's cammo had an amazing " did i just see that" effect on anyone watching and it's a double whammy in that regard that when you got to see it without the reflecting cammo it was even more futuristic.. and the face was so realistic. Plus the acting is great, story line.. lots of action & suspense.
And it ages like French wine. I watch it at least once a year.. including part 2. Wich is just as great imo
This was one of my favorite movies at a young age, so THANK YOU very much for reacting to it! 🥰 So much so that I actually recorded the entire thing on audio cassette (by placing the recorder next to the TV and letting the movie run), then playing it back on my walkman whenever I couldn't fall asleep. So, in a sense... the Predator "serenaded" me to sleep with his terrifying screams 😂 can you tell I'm a mega fan? lmao 😅 the other franchise I grew up on being "Alien" and now you know I'm a horror / Sci-Fi geek.
Anyways; many people gave the 2nd movie some flak for being... "not as good" to put it lightly. I'd say: give it a fair chance. I enjoy it just as much as the original, if not even a little better.
The only Arnold 'tough guy' movie where his character actually shows some fear. Love this movie. And you might as well keep going so you can see the Predator fight the Alien. All fun movies!
The reason Billy's aware of the predator hunting them is he hears the predator copying his laugh after Hawkins joke
The part of the preditor is played by Kevin Peter Hall. He is also the helicopter pilot at the end of the film. They wanted the audience to see him.
A great Arnold film. Your reaction was great.
Y'all be safe.
RIP Kevin Peter Hall.....🙏🙏🙏
I like how Arnold has done everything possible to retain his accent. Imagine you're out in the woods, armed or not, on a mission or hiking, and you encounter skinned soldiers, and commandos at that, hanging from trees. Talk about being on edge. Oh and your friend sent you there and you have to continue the mission. I mean do you think cannibals or an army of serial killers?
This movie was great on the big screen.
"....I mean the body mass alone!" -It's always sunny
Kindergarten Cop is GREAT. Arnold faces his toughest enemies ever - a bunch of little kids! 😁
Devin is gonna love it!
RIP Carl Weathers, we'll miss you.
I always liked Arnolds Eraser movie with those rail guns.
I just saw that this dropped. So I dropped everything I was doing to watch.
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@snackandreact ALL WE WANT IS BAD BOYS 2 and LIFE WITH MARTIN LAWRENCE EDDIE MURPHY
First time? WHAT? Have you been living on a desert island or in a cave the whole time? OMG 🤣
Here's a little interesting tidbit: The actor that played the helicopter pilot at the very end of the movie is the same actor that played The Predator.
Every time I pass Burger King I can't help but shout "Get to the Whopper" sorry I'll get my coat.... Anyway brilliant film haha. 😂
Even back in the day, it's crazy how fast those miniguns shoot. In a split second you'd get hit with like 20-30 bullets
Billy cut himself to deny the predator the chance to draw first blood.
Don't forget Carl Withers is also in Happy Gilmore 😂😂😂
Para véi! Tocava aqui dentro com Adam Sandler não sabia isso
This movie was the first and the only great Predator movie. On a scale of 1 to 10, with ten being the best, Predator is a 10, Predator 2 is a 6, Prey is a 5, and all of the others get a 1. John McTiernan directed this movie. He went on right after this to direct Die Hard (1988) and then The Hunt for Red October (1990). He also directed Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) and The Thomas Crown Affair (1999). In the early 2000's he ran into some problems involving illegal wire tapping, a messy divorce, and lying to the FBI. That killed his directing career for the most part. He hasn't direct a movie since 2003.
I’ve watched this movie as much as big trouble in little China. That speaks volumes
un des meilleurs films d'action de cette decennie...
Arnold was in the army in real life. The Predator was originally going to be played by Van Damn and look and sound completely different but he left and and real big black played the predator and they completley changed the look and sound. The guy playing Mac played with Arnold in Commando but was bad.
I love your reactions to this movie. Was really good to see Military people reacting a sci-fi military movie. He was talking and she was too focused in the strategies that were used in the movie 🤔🤔In 1987 I was in the Military Service in my country in the edge of the Cold War and I remember that this movie brought a big bad blow to the Cuban Army at that time. The Seventh Fleet was making a lot of exercises around Cuba. The Soviet was sending tons of weapons to Castro. This movie was banned in the whole island. Those scenes that the alien were in camuflaje mode were in my mind for the rest of my life, not lying. I was telling to myself “ what happened , what I just saw “ many times and many weeks trying to process the entire movie. You couldn’t discuss this movie with anyone. The automatic plasma cannon, the laser weapon, the thermal vision was stuck in my brain forever .This brings me so much memories.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Keep it up 👍 guys
Awesome reaction. You guys need to do the rest of them. Not for the actors but for the predator alone. The newest one prey is amazing
Jesse " I ain't got time to bleed" Ventura. He was an wrestler turned announcer in the old WWF back in the 80's
Can't believe no one has mentioned this - Arnold and Jesse Ventura - both became Governors. Arnie in California and Jesse *The Body* Ventura (Former pro wrestler) of Minnesota.
2045 la méthode la 🤣 plus efficace pour fabriquer une clairière !!!!!😳😄🤣👍
Mac climbing the hill chanting, I'm gonna have me some fun sounds like he's losing it. But he's reciting the lyrics to the Little Richard song 🎵 played earlier in the chopper. It's his buddy Blain's song. Blain was into music 🎶. Hence, his MTV shirt. Mac had a score to settle with the Predator. -OG
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought you reacting to the movie 'Prepator'. That's a good one as well!!! 😅
I’m so glad I found y’all’s channel
Love your reactions. Happy for you both❤
Here in the UK this is on every year & I watched it every year from the time I was dressing up as Spider-Man in public with my parents actively reminding me to stay up. This was what we emulated playing outside when my illegal climbing faze was hitting it's peak. Hell a police officer asked me wth I was doing on top of my school & understood when I was taken home. Btw Arnold regretted much later on following up so. .
FYI, Carl Weathers played the character of Apollo Creed in "Rocky" and several of the sequels. In the movie "Creed" and it's sequels the title character was Apollo's bastard son.
Hi guys...I recommend "Predador 2" and the prequel "Prey"...they are all connected. A hello from Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Schwarzenegger had workout equipment shipped to the hotel that cast was staying at throughout filming. He and some of the cast would workout before filming!
Happy New Year, folks! Nice review. Looking forward to your reaction to Predator 2 and Predators(2010). I'd ignore The Predator(2018), as well as Prey. Another Predator film to check out is Predator: Dark Ages. It's set in the medieval times and is well worth your time.
Ya gotta love it when a high octane action movie, turns into a pulse pounding slasher flick... Complete with a knife wielding, mask clad killer!
One Of My All Time Favorite Movie's Of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Great Reaction Guy's
Arnold dominated the action movies of the 80s. But it was never questioned who would win. Arnold was always so much bigger and stronger 💪 than his opponents.
However, Predator was different. I actually questioned if Arnold would make it out alive when I originally watched this film.
Of course, it helps to have 7' 3" tall Kevin Peter Hall to play the Predator for real intimidation! Kevin Peter Hall also played Bigfoot in Harry and the Henderson's. A fun family friendly movie. -OG
Arnold stated that he wanted 'manly men' for this movie. And, yet, they're playing LIttle Richard.
Another Arnold classic
Arnold Schwarzenegger was 39 years old when he shot this movie!
Wow!!
I read somewhere Arnold lost like 25 pounds before the shoot and that he was one of the few who didn't get sick from the water during the filming.
You guys would love True Lies. Another Arnie classic.
Thanks for the recommendation

Should watch a movie called vanishing point 1971

Another great reaction! I really enjoyed it. I'm still really looking forward to when you're doing "The Bourne Ultimatum". :)
If this isn't one of Arnolds best, what is?
Kindergarten Cop! 😉😉
I wanted to be a fire fighter but then decided not to because as a rookie you had to shave your moustache. I did made a link with bushy mustaches and older fire fighters. Must be because they made them shave. So I never pursued that career.
Please watch this😊
Das Boot / "the boat"(1982)
Famous (German) warmovie
There is also a series. Movie you should watch which took place before series and its Split into 6parts. So its different to the series and its like a miniseries.
I have a funny feeling Kindergarten Cop might be your new favourite Arnold movie Devin 😅😅😅
I keep a minigun to ensure home security.
dude the audio is much better, no damned echo.
Only movie to have two US Governors star in it.
I didn´t know it , but that´s Exactly what i need right now 👊👍
R.I.P Carl Weathers
Yall should check out the newest Predator movie called Prey(2022) its really good & I think yall would enjoy it.
Thumbs up for the shirt message!!!!
If they liked this movie from the 80s and who doesn't i definitely recommend they react to Action Jackson starring Carl Weathers..it fits right alonside this movie and has a couple of the same actors in it.
Nice reaction, boy
For Me This IS Arnie's BEST Film. Just Love The Scene When He Says-;No Blood, No Bodies, WE HIT NOTHING' GREAT STUFF (Please Check Out PREY it's The Best of All The Sequels)
Happy New Year!

24:00 Its not a small feat to take down a wild boar alone, with a knife. A few years ago ISIS militants stumbled upon a few boars and in tusk-to-AK combat killed more than one of them.

At the beginning talking about the the Creed movie makes me think ya'll haven't watched any of the Rocky movies
Please Do Predator 2,You Will Definitely Love That One Forsure Guy's
Predator is my favorite Arnold movie too.
Devin! I cant smash it my screen is already cracked 😅
🤣🤣 well lightly tapping it is acceptable as well!
You did a good cut there....but you cut out "if it bleeds, we can kill it," which is the halftime turn of the movie.
you have to do part 2 now and part 3 lololol before it fall off
Beautiful movie
Definitely check out the prequel Prey
Good reaction do another Arnold classic End of Days 1999 😉
