Yooo, Sloth-Ryan! Well, my luck, I wanted to watch it immediately but had to do sth else instead - typical instance of one of many variations of Murphy's Law. (Or is it Sod's Law in the UK?) But wow, what a treat for spooky season! Yeah, this one is certainly the best known and most critically lauded of all the adaptations (to the point Stephen King has said its better than the novel!) but _Carrie_ was actually King's first published novel and the ordeal is even more rough there if you can believe it (I read it way back in college, still might have it in digital form somewhere...). Haha, I think your natural suspiciousness that you built up on other horror films made you wary of Sue and Tommy, so no fault there. Never change, Ryan, hehe! And that jump scare that got you in the end - allegedly this is the first such use of a "shock" ending in a horror film! King has waaay too many novel-to-film adaptation to count, but some of the more underrated I would recommend would be _Christine_ , _The Dead Zone_ , _Children of the Corn_ , _Pet Sematery_ and _Sleepwalkers_ ! Whew, even that is too much!! Oh, and definitely check up director Brian DePalma's other films like _Dressed to Kill_ , _Scarface_ and _Mission Impossible_ ! And, is my eyesight playing tricks (once again!) or is your beard somehow more reddish-brown in this reaction?? Not complaining though, looks good! ✌️

Hey, Sloths! Well, got to watch it later than expected but alas, sorry to hear about the editing woes. I didn't manage to watch the previous version so I'm glad to know all is well with the audio. Aaah, such nostalgia about this film - not the first ‘modern’ superhero film (That honor would go to either _Blade_ or _X-Men_ I think.), but definitely the one that built and solidified the genre into what it is today. I especially loved your banter and comments during this reaction, more so when Nai (or is it Nay?) pokes holes in the film's logic, haha, like that "Where were you?!" after Peter rescues the baby! And yeah, a lot of surprisingly awkward moments now when I think about it. And surely, you two will be watching the sequel? Take care, Sloths! ✌

Maybe too much CGI or something else, I'm not quite sure what is it ...

Well ... My suspicions were confirmed - no good boys for you, Ryan, haha!! You were extra jumpy and frustrated in this reaction video. Granted, so was I when I saw it the first time. Actually, creepy dolls I can withstand, but mannequins ... Sheesh!! But you got to hand it to the animatronics and puppetry teams for bringing Chucky to "life", especially when Karen first confronts him and later in the the burned state as you said it. And Andy is really one of the sweetest, and badass!, rare final boys in a horror film. I would definitely recommend the sequel at least, as it answers _some_ of the questions you posed and pondered. And Chris Sarandon (Detective Norris) is frighteningly (pun intended!) seductive (woohoo!) in another 80s classic, _Fright Night_ ! Looking forward to more slashers now, hehe!

Bonk! I finally got time to watch this awesome film / reaction, Sloths!! I knew you would like and enjoy it! Great ensamble cast and solid action scenes overall. Although, for me, Kip's cooking is the most tense part of film, haha. Also, smooth kung fu moves, Ryan, and good description, Naomi ; Delroy Lindo's voice is like butter, ha!! Off the top of my head, some heist film recommendations I could think of would be _Heat_ , _Jackie Brown_ or the _Ocean's_ series or perhaps _Mission Impossible_ and _Panic Room_ as the more spy-like and thriller outliers, respectively. And if you like cool car chase scenes, _Speed_ with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock! And for more action Cage, _The Rock_ ; quirky Cage, _Raising Arizona_ ; and romantic Cage, _Moonstruck_ ! Alright, enough recommendations, off to check if Ryan is afraid of (murderous!) dolls!

Yooo, (Solo) Sloth! Well, what a pivot from _The Equalizer_ (!) and you and me both, Ryan, when it comes to _DreamWorks_ animated films. Haven't seen any in a looong time so (re)watching HTTYD with you and listening your commentary was indeed a fun ride! Do you have already have a favorite dragon design from the film? Or maybe dragon portrayals in other films? Mine will always be Draco in _Dragonheart_ and in hindsight now, HTTYD somewhat resembles a re-imagining more suitable for younger audiences. Hm. Maybe. If you are developing a taste for western animation or _DreamWorks_ in particular, I would recommend their older or underrated works like _Megamind_ or _Over The Hedge_ or maybe their debut _Antz_ . Other things that come to mind would be the original _Watership Down_ or _Book of Kells_ (I have a feeling Naomi would like the latter). Regardless, take care and get better, Ryan, so you can make plenty more of awesome reactions!

Trick or treating is indeed fun but one of the best parts about it is that first year you don't do it and instead hang out with your friends. I was 13 and I wore a devil costume that showed a sliver of my midriff and hung out with a group that included boys. I'd never felt cooler in my life and I swear to god, I don't think I have since.

Many people don’t like these older horror movies but Halloween has always been and will always be the best horror franchise imo. From when I was 7 to now I love this franchise accept for the rob zombie version I am not a huge fan of

Well, that is certainly one way to get equal, ha! But what an awesome reaction, Sloths! I know Ryan is probably conditioned now by all those _Alien_ reactions, hehe, but Naomi, you looked really "shooketh" by certain scenes! Do you two agree on the most creative kill then? I must admit, I ended liking it a little more than (the first) _John Wick_ , if only for a tad more wholesome story and such great performances - Denzel was super as usual but Marton Csokas was terrifyingly effective as a bad guy. Also, have to admit I am not that much familiar with Washington's filmography overall, but out of the films I have seen, I would recommend _Fallen_ , _The Pelican Brief_ and definitely _The Preacher's Wife_ .

John Powell! It’s an amazing soundtrack! Love this trilogy, it’s in my top three all time. So glad you watched and enjoyed it. I hope you finish it, they all hold up.

I have a recommendation. It's a very deep and well written anime. Its called Berserk 1997. Normally I would say watch the Japanese version with English subtitles but this show has an excellent English dub so watch it in English. Here is a summary. It takes place in medieval times. It's about an orphan named Guts who gets raised by a mercenary group. They teach Guts nothing except how to fight. As a result, Guts has no life purpose, no goals, no dreams. He just earns money as a mercenary for survival. Guts ends up becoming good friends with a man named Griffith who is his opposite. Griffith knows exactly what he wants in life and is very ambitious and working hard for his dream. I think you can tell just from this summary that it's a deep show. I have some pushback on your views on this movie. All in good faith no hard feelings. What should Arthur have done while getting beaten by those 3 guys? Should he have accepted the beating until they were satisfied? Even if it meant permanent disability or severe injury? In my view, those 3 guys were responsible and Arthur was innocent. Except for the last guy who was running away obviously.
