Met John a few times and once he came and opened up a beer festival for us ar our pub, I was expecting him to go as soon as he had done a few book signings but ne came into the pub and spent a couple of hours chatting, having nothing but admiration for how down to earth he was.
Wonderful actor & very funny.Saw John on stage a few years ago, with co star Barbara Windsor. So pleased, I have that memory to look back on! RIP ❤ Borh ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I know Trigger was most people's favourite character but boycie was my favourite for his sarcasm and sense of humour and now he's with Grandad, Uncle Albert ,Trigger and Mike RIP John you will be missed.

My friend Nicholas met John in Blackwood, Wales. John was doing a one man presentation, not just only fools but his appearance in Doctor Who. Nick said he was very nice, he approached him before he started the show. Rip John.
Met John in 2019 at one of his Only Fools & Boycie evenings. Fascinating hearing about his career and he made time to speak with anyone that wanted to speak to him. RIP Mr Challis and thank you for the memories.

We regularly have a day out in Ludlow Shropshire not far from where this lovely man lived.we met him in his favourite pub called the Feathers.such a lovel guy loved to chat .I bought both of his books the first one he autographed.all sales went to his favourite charities.restvin peace John thanks for the laughs and memories.
Only Fools and Horses is massively popular in the former Yugoslavia. John Challis made a film called "Boycie in Belgrade" which is worth watching. A street in Belgrade is to be named is to be named in honour of Boycie and/or Only Fools and Horses.

There is something in Boycie, if we're honest we can identify in. Boycie was always true to his friends, despite his and their faults. He was the kind of friend you couldn't count on when it's going right, but when it's going wrong he was there to make a few bob.
