Fala pono .that means thank you alot I'm from Croatia and these are all the languages I can speak Croatian Serbian bossinian Chinese French Spanish Korean Russian .. sounds very hard to learn them all but when you actually learn the first three it's actually pretty easy cuz you just need to kind of know how to you know how to roll your r's but it's .. I don't know how how I learned all these languages is my dad speaks Croatian my mom speaks Croatian French and Spanish I my friend we have teachers I have teachers that speaks Serbian and Bosnian
im from croatia and im from a very far right family (my great grandfather was Andrija Artuković) and my father always points out people who are not croatian in his eyes and always says "they've invaded our homeland" and im glad that there are not many people like him

When people in Australia ask me, a Croat, what I think of Serbians I have a little joke: "No one hates Serbs more than Serbian politicians. Why add to their stress?". The Nationalist ones get offended by my joke, the "normal" Serbs think it's hilarious, lol. Plus I like Idoli and EKV very much because every country has nice and shit people, and every country has talented people.
Portuguese people and Croatians are among the warmest Europeans that I’ve met. I’ve served a lot of Portuguese people and they almost always tip (in coffee shops in Toronto), they always say please and thank you. And if they’re in line and it’s their time to get served but they’re deep in conversation with someone and don’t hear you they almost always apologize.

I visited Prague before all this corona stuff and I must say, I felt at home (my ancestors are from Prague) despite the crowds. I hope there will be an opportunity to visit again.

I have been to Croatia last year for two weeks in winter I stayed in OSIJEK....I have to say I enjoyed staying and I wanted to extend my visit ...people are so nice and would like to help any time and they have wonderful cuisines. @@vicePVic What do you mean against Habsburgs? Hungary and Austria formed a union or dual monarchy and you conquered Croatia. They were under rule of mostly Hungarians and with very little rights. I presume that you want to tell that Hungarians were "second class citizens" comparing to Austrians. That was probably true, but not even close to status of Croatians. After all, there was no Croatia in the name of the country. That tells a lot.

Mark Twain (a great American writer) once said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco." SF, Seattle, and Portland were all once great, but now overrun with homeless people - and all the social problems that come with it. Los Angels and Venice Beach also. Avoid at all costs! However, several coastal areas are great in both California and Oregon. Cannon Beach, Oregon area is fantastic! We also have great national parks worth visiting. Be advised... the East Coast gets very chilly in winter. New England is fantastic! New York City - not so much. Many homeless and crime is on the rise. Yep many people can speak english in Croatia, not only english but other languages too, German language is second most common language here beacuse a lot of people moved to Germany and Austria in the 1970s and this trend is still in Croatia today, money is main reason ofc, and its mandatory by the state here that kids in elementary school have to learn english or german but I would say 95% of them choose english so we have a lot of people who can speak english

Many Croats speak several foreign languages because of history... And children learn foreign languages in kindergarten...

I don't know how how I learned all these languages is my dad speaks Croatian my mom speaks Croatian French and Spanish I my friend we have teachers I have teachers that speaks Serbian and Bosnian

I’ve served a lot of Portuguese people and they almost always tip (in coffee shops in Toronto), they always say please and thank you. And if they’re in line and it’s their time to get served but they’re deep in conversation with someone and don’t hear you they almost always apologize.

I have been to Croatia last year for two weeks in winter I stayed in OSIJEK....I have to say I enjoyed staying and I wanted to extend my visit ...people are so nice and would like to help any time and they have wonderful cuisines. We recommended it for a honeymoon for the son of a great friend of ours. He and his new bride also loved your country. We just fell in love with Optajia and the Lake Plitvice National Park. @@maky2258 Maky, good plan! California is great during the summer - except perhaps San Francisco. Mark Twain (a great American writer) once said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco."
SF, Seattle, and Portland were all once great, but now overrun with homeless people - and all the social problems that come with it. Los Angels and Venice Beach also. Avoid at all costs! However, several coastal areas are great in both California and Oregon. Cannon Beach, Oregon area is fantastic! We also have great national parks worth visiting.
Be advised... the East Coast gets very chilly in winter. New England is fantastic! New York City - not so much. Many homeless and crime is on the rise.
Just as soon as the pandemic ends, come visit us. I hope we Americans are as gracious and welcoming as Croatians. We loved visiting your country!

As an Italian, in fact in the past we have done very bad things to the Croats, in some places we were not much better than the Germans in those places during the war.

@@Luka-st4uf The Bačka is the only region that was hungary, but all Hungarians left... Srem was never under Croatia, you never even had a country lol hahahha you were either under Hungary, or Austrohungary. As for Banat that was a signed deal where both parties agreed to split the region.

Yep many people can speak english in Croatia, not only english but other languages too, German language is second most common language here beacuse a lot of people moved to Germany and Austria in the 1970s and this trend is still in Croatia today, money is main reason ofc, and its mandatory by the state here that kids in elementary school have to learn english or german but I would say 95% of them choose english so we have a lot of people who can speak english
