only concern i have leaving the toothpaste in the mouth especially at night time is, paste may contain sugar as it tasts sweet and thn the bacteria are going to have a feast all night. In the day time, it may not be as much of an issue, did you have any comment on this?
you know a good spinbrush or electric toothbrush with a smaller head angled the right way might be the right fit for you. it is OK and we actually encourage you to brush your gums some. but with a soft bristled brush and good technique of course. thanks for your questions.
Leaving toothpaste on your teeth after brushing without rinsing afterwards seems like leaving the soap on dishes without rinsing. The rinsing removes the feed debris. Perhaps, I am missing something. Probably best, if you want the toothpaste to remain on your teeth, to rub some toothpaste on them after first rising after brushing, no?
He tells you to "spit out the excess" once you're done brushing. So once you've finished brushing, just spit thoroughly as you normally would, and if there's a slight "film" left behind on your teeth from the toothpaste, that's what is ideal - rinsing your mouth thoroughly with water immediately after your two minutes of brushing is kinda like washing your hair with shampoo for two minutes and then rinsing it immediately. Letting it set for longer in both instances allows the liquid (be it the toothpaste, or the shampoo lol) to set in and really do it's thing.
they make toothpastes without fluoride or natural ones if you have concerns over swallowing the toothpaste. actually, you can brush plaque away with the right brush, technique and water alone. Nice comments all around

I’ve been rinsing for years and I have pretty good teeth, but I’m not a professional so don’t go by my word.
I have shorter bottom teeth and I was wondering if there is a technique for brushing so I’m not too low or hard on the gum line?

I think same like you. His method is to let the toothpaste protect your teeth. suggest to leave it on your mouth for 5-15 mins then rinse with water.

There's no problem with food debris left in your mouth. Important is just that you mechanically removed the plug.

I can never leave the toothpaste in my mouth after brushing 🗿 i just cant
Swallowing small amounts of the toothpaste and over time slowly poisoning yourself. Sounds good.
Me neither. Nasty.
Why not use a fluoride rinse after you rinse with water?
