did this years ago on my ‘09 F150 with Sync Lockpick kit, great to see left and right cameras automatically when turning on turn signals and was able to add front and secondary camera for trailer. I think it was last year for dvd player in these trucks, so dvd in motion feature is awesome, my passenger can watch a movie while I drive. No I don’t allow myself to be distracted by video, built a little deflector. It’s nice for 5 hour drive to cabin.
Nice job documenting this. I bought a system to install in my truck and haven’t started yet because I’m concerned about trying to drill out unused pins in the factory harness large enough to get the end of this camera wire through. Luckily the end is pretty compact but still larger than a wire alone so I’m concerned that I might need to drill out three or four pins slots. I haven’t drove into it yet so I’m not even sure if I’m going to have that many unused pins available. so I’ve been considering to just not even mess with the harness at all and just drill through like you did. I really miss the old school looms that you could just easily add wires to.
At the beginning of the video, you turn the left marker on and the screen turns blue. If I only wanted to add a front camera, is the Rostra unit programmable to NOT do that? I don’t love the idea of the screen turning blue every time I put the turn signal on. Appreciate your thoughts and feedback! Cheers
I've been thinking about this for the past year or so. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do electrical stuff. So glad to have found your video! Many thanks 😊
Really nice and clean install. Also, something like this is probably possible for most any vehicle with an aftermarket radio that supports a backup camera.
I have a 2002 Trailblazer, and I have been looking at some Kenwood Nav head units that have 4 video inputs, so this is possible. I currently have a Pioneer Nav unit that is 15 to 20 year old technology, but has maps that are only about 2 years old. Yes, this is very possible.
What year was the Ford F-150 King Ranch on the Video? I have a 2016 F150 King Ranch, and was almost talked into buying a new truck just for the 360 cameras.
Add a hidden camera under side mirror to blind spot side mirror light indicator power wire. it turns on the camera on that side of which ever side a vehicle is approaching from the rear and shows up on the 4-quad screen only or by pass with all 4 going and or powers on when detection is detected and front and rear can be with constant on and off power switch straight to battery for continuous recording and or monitoring.
hey great video ..im doing the same thing on the boost auto tow mirrors for my f150...installed the linkswell gen 4..12" screen...does your backup markers always stay on like that on the turnsignal view? and how was drilling through the passenger side with the fuse box and all? looks super tight there...
@@Lesscoelectronics I've drove 18-wheeler semi trucks for 30 years without cameras, a lot bigger than your truck, obviously you just don't know how to drive a truck, maybe you'd be better off in a Toyota Prius
Shame the maker of the product didn't take the time to remove the screen overlay from the left and right camera inputs. I understand front and back but I don't get why they didn't spend an hour more of programming the SDK software.. Looks like you now have a gumball machine type quality product on a 70K truck......Shame

Can this be done using the Navos 12.1” radio for F150? If so what would be the process? Thanks in advance!
Any chance of compatibility with a 2019 Silverado 2500?

@@David-rx5eo is there a link for instructiond I want to do this to my 2023 power boost
Wonder if there is a video interface for a Ford MachE, sync4 system with B&O speakers. My MME did not come with 360 camera system

Love the video and the information. Thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, I cannot find these parts anywhere. I hope that Rostra can deliver soon.
Can you do this for a 2022 Ford Raptor? I just bought a 2022 Raptor base model with no 360 view camera. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
I think metra makes an upgrade for those
Super video, what’s the exact model number of camera used so I can purchase from your eBay store please?

"Because that would be ghetto" had me rolling.... Great video.
😁
question on an older 360 system. I have an issue with a Haloview 7101 camera. Do you have any contact info for the company?

Is the 360 top view working since you have all the cameras ?
Great question and I hope it gets answered.
great video! will the Rostra model work with the factory cameras? the blinker option is the best part of this.

The driver side was a little tough, the passenger side was a breeze actually, way simpler..
The link you provided no longer works, where do i buy the camera kit ?
Do you have a link to this product
How to turn off camera guidelines?
Awesome video! I hope this is a valid question, How did you find the trigger wire for side flasher, i am planning to do it on my ecosport. Thanks!
This unit detects it by can-bus without any wiring
Unless the camera will be ground switched, you should only need to run 3 wires, get the ground from the door.
Will this kit work for a 2020 ford f150?
yes, they're no different than this 2019
@@Lesscoelectronics ok, thank you! Another place had said it wouldn't being its to new.
Can you update your links to the products?
will do
Beautiful job
Do u think that I can do that on f150 2019

I can’t get those camera 🎥 when I click on ur link is not working
Looks amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Would you sell me the part please for a f150
Thanks for this!
Angle is off by a lot -if you like staring at the ground while you drive
Looks good Brother.
Thanks 👍
I gave you 'Like" anyway! lol. This like is 110% deserved. I wonder if this would work with F-150 Lightning?
Clean
Nice loving it always wanted to do that
Nice work 🤙🏼
Thank you 🙌
What's the point of the camera when you can just look at the mirror
You obviously dont own a truck

Ok, now do 2018 RAM 3500HD with U-connect.😬
we'll see..
