Is it possible to display the right and left side views on the display in split screen? That would be a great option for highway driving on a road with multiple lanes to enable lane-changing easier (covering the Left and Right blind spots)? Also, any plans for a larger screen? A 5" screen is pretty small and can be difficult to see well if you have older eyes. Thanks
I was planning on buying a viofo A139+ a800s to get a 4 channel view. This review saved me from wasting 300~ USD (converted from me currency + tax), ordered it and now waiting for this.
Glad to hear it helped and here is my follow up video showing all the menu settings and how to use them th-cam.com/video/0c8GoBEIA4Q/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
I have watched your videos about WOLFBOX 880 too. Thank you. I want it like my tesla I used to have. I want the mirror like this? The three channel is available but I just want rear and side cameras on a after market radio or mirror not a extra display. I really want the turn signal feature but will settle for mirror. Not sure if Amazon aftermarket cameras will work with the WOLFBOX. Thanks

@@AlexAutoFun thank you for the videos when I go to the HUD website, it says pre-order I’m not even able to purchase the brand. Is that two separate items? The two side cameras in the back up camera is not the same brand as the HUD heads up display?
@m.webster8226 Correct, Hudway has a long line to be able to get one. So only go for it if don't mind the wait. And yes the side cameras and rear radar is a separate add on also sold by Hudway, here is the full review for it th-cam.com/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/w-d-xo.html Cheers!

Yes this is the best 4-channel stealth cams for cars. Thank you! Is there a discount from your channel? They don't sell this brand at Amazon or anything like it for cars only big bulky 4 camera kits for RV's and Trucks. I'll need to find an installer and a quote for labor to see if it's worth it. Craigslist?
You're welcome Larry! I don't have a discount code sorry man (I keep asking for one but no luck LOL), regarding install, I would recommend using a professional installer licensed and insured who will guarantee the work, that way you are more protected in case you have issues with the install. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thanks for sharing, waiting for next Akeeyo product which may have 5 camera for front, rear, both sides and in cabin option. These innovative products are making our car driving experience better.

I'm wondering if it can record when parked in a loop, and for how long. My concern is that if someone were to scratch my car, the motion might not be enough to trigger the motion sensor. So I want something that can record for say an hour or two. Is that possible with this camera?
Hi Dan! Ah yes this dash cam system does not support motion detection (it only supports impact detection) To capture people passing near the vicinity of the car or walking to it, here is a system that does support motion detection th-cam.com/video/vUEsIYEBVck/w-d-xo.html And I have more dash cam reviews on my channel in the playlist "Dash Cams Reviews" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Yeah, the "Rydeen Tombo 360X Mirror Dash Cam 360° VIEW" looks like a great system. I watched your video and thought...Yeah, this is the one to get. But, then I realized that there was one crucial thing missing and that was "side view" capability. Love that it can look around 360 degrees, but that is from inside the cabin, and you can't see what's happening in the blind spots along the side of the vehicle. The motion detection is a great feature, and almost enough to sway me away from the AKEEYO, but, not quite enough. I can't tell you how many times I've wished I had a side-view camera when driving on the highway, or backing into a parking space, showing me a view down the side of my vehicle. Honestly, I'm not sure why auto manufacturers don't offer the option of rear/sideview cameras that can be operated on-demand. Seems the DOT should mandate that capability as they did with backup cameras in all vehicles as of 2018. I think it would prevent a lot of accidents from happening.
@@jesuslovesbass3944 Yeah explained very well my friend, that is one of the reasons I tell people I can't tell them what the best dash cam is since It really depends on what features are important you. In this case side camera, on other cases some people want the backup to SDD, and others want the real night vision option, and so on. So you definitely hit the nail in the head, the best dash cam is the one that meets your main needs and everything else (in terms of additional features) are just gravy on the top LOL Cheers!
Hi A! Not sure what you mean, the cameras are simply connected with the included cables to the main monitor (you can see them when I unbox the system), there is nothing is to do beside connecting the cables. Cheers!
This was a great review and seems close to what I am looking for. I have a 2 year old BMW X5 that already has built in cameras in front, mirrors, and rear for parking assist, driver lane change assist, and heads up display. However, it does not have a dashcam for while driving or for taking videos while parked. I really like the Tesla Sentry system, but no one seems to have it for other cars. I want a dashcam to record the front, rear, and especially the side doors and side panels to see who scratches my car doors and dings with shopping carts it when it is parked in shopping center parking lots. The Blackvue and Thinkware dashcams are nice but have no side cameras like the Tesla sentry system. Is there a 4kfront 2k rear, and side camera system I could use for my car when it is parked. Also, is there a system that monitors the car battery level when it is parked so the battery doesnt run too low? The Akeeyo seems good, but no side cameras with their newer 4k/2k dashcam system nor does it have a sensor to record when someone approaches your car to scatch it or dings it in the parking lot on the side when they open their doors in the parking spaces. Is there another dashcam system that has all this? If not, is there a 4k/2k system that I could add the exterior side cameras?
Thanks Charles! Ah regarding 4K side camera systems, there are currently none on the market. There are some systems like this one amzn.to/44XHgWX that have 4K for the screen itself while the cameras are FHD. Same with 2K, now I will tell you that from FHD to 2K the difference is very small (1920x1080 in FHD and 2048x1080) so most people can't tell the difference between them. The big jump that is noticeable is 4K but as mentioned there is currently no side camera system with it. Likely we will not see one for a long time since side cameras are normally used for viewing the road first and as a dash cam second. So for the main priority of seeing the road 4K will not be beneficial since the screen that the side dash cams use are small in size where FHD will be more that sufficient (due to the size of the screen). To enjoy the benefits of 4K the screen would have to be much larger to see all the details. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Makes sense. I agree, the 4k is not needed for the side cameras and 1080 would be fine for side cameras. I was wondering if the 4kfront and 2k rear systems that are useful for identifying license plates also happen to come with side 1080 resolution exterior cameras. And also whether any systems with side cameras have the buffered video with motion detection on the sides of the car while parked. Thinkware and Blackvue are nice dashcams with motion detection but they have no side camera systems.
@@charlesg6583 Hi Charles! Ah yeah there are currently no 4 channel systems with 4K or 2K (front, rear, 2 side cameras) this is likely due to the amount of processing power required for 4 channels with 2 of them being 4K or 2K and bandwidth limitations (this is also why rear cameras are limited to FHD, current dash cams use AHD 2.0 for the rear camera signal and that standard does not support 4K or 2K, not long ago the same company that developed AHD announced that they have began working on AHD 3.0 which will support higher resolutions (however considering 2.0 took years to be released, it will be a while for us to see 3.0), so once that standard comes out, we will eventually see dash cam manufacturers began to use at some point in the future. Regarding buffered parking mode with side cameras nope there are none, buffered parking is somewhat of a rare option on dash cams but it is a really good feature to have, here are 2 systems that support it th-cam.com/video/lwoSbiwjSik/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/SD5AEbR0fLI/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!

Looks great but I'm just worried about somebody breaking into the car and stealing the screen? Then the footage will be gone. Maybe the screen could be fitted somewhere hidden away in the car?
Hi Derelict Detective! Correct, the installer can potentially hide the main unit somewhere in the car. And what I usually recommend (if budgets allows) is to run dual dash cams, so I would pair this dash cam with this stealth dash cam th-cam.com/video/TvKRKYA7cgQ/w-d-xo.html which ensures both redundancy in the case one fails and also in case one gets stolen. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi. i finally received my Akeeyo AKY-Z3GT. I chose the silver camera for the 2-side cameras for easier placement. however, both silver side cameras have the "AV" connector but the dashcam unit only has one AV input. Looking at 7:25 of your video, the silver side camera doesn't have the AV connector. The main reason I got this camera is for the side cameras. I already have a 2-channel rearview mirror dashcam I am not planning to remove as I use it as my rearview mirror. My excitement now turns into frustration.
Hi Ian! Oh wow that is very strange, both the black and silver cameras should have the circular connector you saw at the 7:25 mark, if you take a look at your manual (I think page 15 if I remember correctly) you can see one side camera connects with the circular connector directly to the main harness from the monitor and the second side camera is connected to an adapter (they included) that takes the circular connector and turns it into AV so it can connect to the back of the monitor. I would recommend you contact Akeeyo to see if you received the incorrect cameras or if they have revised something. Please let us know what you find. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun i contacted Akeeyo directly and here's what they said. "The place indicated by the arrow can be disconnected, Please rotate hard and pull it out, please be sure to pinch both ends, (do not pinch the cable, otherwise it is easy to damage the cable)". Did you have to pull it on the unit you got? I was wondering why don't the manufacturer ship that part already pulled out? They should know that the customer will connect all 4-cameras upon receipt. Why have the customer pull it out and risk damaging one of the cameras?
@@iansebastian4535 Hi Ian! Ah that is a good question, normally I see manufacturers who send their cables pre-attached to other cables (such as the cameras, power cables or GPS cables) and sometimes there are not. Seems to really be all over the place whether cables will come separated or if I have to separate them (I usually don't separate them unless the installation process requires me to, such as when routing the cable thru small spaces) So to answer your question since it's common for me to be connecting and disconnecting cables, I don't recall if I had to disconnect any cables from the adapters or the other way around. If I had to guess why a cable is shipped mated to another cable (such a rear camera and rear camera extension or in this case side camera and AV conversion plug) maybe due to the supplier of the cable shipping the mated cable to the dash cam manufacturer. To avoid cost (by reducing the labor of having to unplug a cable before shipping and repackaging) they probably just place the component in the main box as received from the supplier and since this can very from supplier to supplier this leads to what I see, cables coming in mated or mated across the industry LOL But that is just my guess from my years in the Manufacturing industry. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Nice review. Some pieces of info .. Front/Rear camera.. 1920x1080p/2MP/25FPS...side cameras-1080p. No indication of whether you can change resolutions and fps. Didn't see any information on their parking mode, if all 4 cameras record, buffered parking/motion/event detection and other parking mode options. It has some nice options e.g. those adjustable parking lines. I wonder when you're in reverse and the parking lines come up... Does it affect the rear camera dash cam recording? Projected retail price of the 4 cameras is $568... That's pretty steep considering the lack of information .. yeah that might get fleshed out after the kick starter is over. Something else to consider.. You can get Viofo A139 ( 3 channel ) -$270 and a Viofo A129 (2 channels) -$170 .. So 5 cameras for $410, or $350 when Viofo offers their sales. The question is if the extra features ( big screen, turn signal video focus, reverse camera with adjustable lines) worth the extra $150-$200.. Assuming they work out the kinks and add proper parking mode functionality.
Hi mpcp27! correct, all four cameras record in HD (1080), the resolution or frame rate is not adjustable however here is one that does have adjustable resolution & frame rate th-cam.com/video/ct4AUXNGvQk/w-d-xo.html Regarding parking lines, they don't affect recording on dash cams remember they are just an overlay that comes up on top of the video being recorded :) For pricing, I think you may be converting Yen or something is off, the kit with dual cameras is only $299 however if you only need 1 side camera you can get if for $269 here is the link again if needed www.akeeyo.com/products/4-channels-surround-view-dash-cam-monitoring-without-blind-spot-driving-recorder?sca_ref=2139840.S7pimDXRfb I do think is easy to put together a 4 channel system by buying 2 separate dash cams, the challenge is getting dual side cameras, running 2 separate dash cams won't have this option. @@itsMizaa Hi Ice.Pianist! ! yeah I noticed that many dash cams love to throw the night vision term around (meaning they can record video at night, which technically all cameras can to a certain extent) Some dash cam do offer true night vision (Infrared Lighting) in the cabin camera like the G880 dash cam I linked earlier. Now technically most people won't need I.R. night vision it's normally only desired by people wanting to capture images in complete darkness. This is a perfect setup in a variety of ways but feel like akeeyo dropped the ball with the exterior side cameras, should’ve ran the cable differently makes it hard to hide the wires even if you drill into the fenders
Hi Bryan! The silver side camera has the cable coming out the side as shown on the video only for those who are looking to avoid drilling a hole into the fender. If you are looking to drill a hole to conceal the cable completely, the cable actually comes out more towards the middle of the back of the side camera (under the double side tape adhesive). Here is my follow video where you can see the cable exit underneath the camera around the 3:50 mark th-cam.com/video/Wb_PAPdFfZc/w-d-xo.html And while I seen installs where a hole was drilled to fully conceal the cable, I had my car next to that setup and people couldn't tell there was a difference unless I pointed it out (since my cable immediately bends into the inside panels of the car as shown on the video, so I like to stick to the non-drill method but drilling is definitely another way to do it. And here is another side camera system that may interest you th-cam.com/video/b2JXMQyU-24/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Hi Alex! Love your videos. Keep up the excellent work in making me spend more and more on car gadgets :). And now I have to get this one as well! @@AlexAutoFun Hey, Thanks for sharing the details. I just need one more help. I am committed to making Honda a Tesla for monitoring parity and plan to get AKY-V720S and AKY-Z3GT. I will get hardwire kit for both of these. In some hardwire kits, we can replace the fuse with the kit and then put the fuse next to it. Is the kit Akeeyo provides stackable, i.e., can two kits be combined at the fuse connector or by soldering the wires so that both can power from the same fuse selections? The reason for this is that only limited fuse slots can be used for this.
@@ArjitDhavale You're welcome Arjit! Correct, the hardwire kit shown on the video will need to have fuse taps installed if the installer wants to tap the fuse box directly, here is my video on how those are installed th-cam.com/video/Qzw9yUYN7zo/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Hi ban annah! yeah I really like when they add USB ports to a cigarette lighter plug, that way I can still charge my phone and not have have to run a cigarette lighter port splitter or hardwire the dash cam. Cheers!
@@bigkaki000 Hi Ban! nope, remember the aspect ratio of the side cameras, having both of them on the screen by themselves would probably not gain you much (the view would be the same as the one with the 2 side cameras split screen except without the rear camera above, the side cameras would just be in the middle of the screen with large black lines on top and bottom) While I think it maybe be interesting to force both side cameras to fill the screen, it will distort the image quite a bit as they would have to be stretched up and compressed on their sides. Or the view for each would have to be cropped to fit the profile of both of them fitting on the screen but in either case I don't think it would be look good or be very usable, but who knows, maybe we will see a firmware update in the future adding one of those views! LOL Hope this helps, Cheers!
You needed to show the unit size and mounting inside the car as we can only guess the mounting, size and lighting it gives off during day/night usage. Otherwise, a good video. Thank you.
Hi D B! I went to the vehicle and took measurements of the unit for you, here you go: The main unit is 5.75" wide by 3.75" tall, adding the stand adds another 1" for a total height of 4.75" As far as mounting you can see the mount and how it works at the 1:30 mark. However there is a standard 1/4" screw hole on the bottom of the display if you do not want to use the stand and prefer to use a standard camera mount. As far as how much lights it gives off during driving this is going to depend on what brightness level you choose to run the display (I run mine at maximum brightness like my mirror dash cams however I know some people do find the display brightness distracting at full blast and run it at a lower brightness) Hope this helps, Cheers!
LoL! Just checked the links, both are working. I placed two links, one to Amazon and one to get it direct from Akeeyo in the case Amazon does not carry it in your area. Cheers!

You're welcome LazyQ8i! yeah this definitely is the closest will get to a top view 360° system (Which I do hope to see in the future but it's years out due to the complexity of the setup)
Honestly, the top-down 360 view is really only practical for parking and off-roading, where you only need to see what's within a couple of feet from the side of your vehicle. You really don't get a very wide field of view with it, so it wouldn't be of much use on the highway where you want to see a larger zone around your vehicle. Also, since it requires stitching 4 images together that must be focused at specific angles and distances from the vehicle in order for the software to compensate for distortion, and then produce an image that doesn't have a lot of aberration, a software that could include a large field of view, along with much higher-end camera systems would be required and much more expensive. The only drawback I see from the system in this video, is the screen size. 5" is an awfully small area to view 4 images. I would think at the very least, an 8" screen would just barely begin to do it justice, with a 10", or 12" screen being preferable. Fact is, I'll probably purchase this system and hope that AKEEYO will offer a larger monitor sometime in the future that can simply be swapped out. Aside from the small screen, this system offers everything I'm looking for in a camera/DVR system.
I've been enjoying your work for a while now hopefully this is the product I've been looking for you gave it justice with your review excellent work Would love to know what size the screen sincerely jay from England

Thanks
They not have that option yet also they didn’t make compatibility with other side cameras so you need to buy from they

How do you wire to get the camera integrated with signal button?

Hi. i finally received my Akeeyo AKY-Z3GT.
"The place indicated by the arrow can be disconnected,
Please rotate hard and pull it out, please be sure to pinch both ends, (do not pinch the cable, otherwise it is easy to damage the cable)".

@@AlexAutoFun I’ll order that sd card to check this out in future
@@peteschmitz777 You're welcome Pete! I just checked their store and still shows memory cards available (I placed the link in the video description). The memory card (if you want to get it from Akeeyo) can be ordered at the time the dash cam system is ordered or as separate accessory. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun I did order the micro sd card u said but also says card not inserted and on the website akeeyo out of stock
Can I get 2 side cameras that look the same?
Hi! Yes you can customize your system when ordering, remember I placed the link to it in the video description. Cheers!
Dose it record 24 hours when it parked? Someone hit my side when I’m in class for school
Hi Hoang! yes it does support parked monitoring, if connected with the optional hardwire kit. Here how the hardwire kit installation looks like th-cam.com/video/K2iKXj82354/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thank you. Just ordered. it’s time to catch those sucka that hit my car
@@hoanganhhuynhthanh4254 You're welcome! I hope you get them, it really upsets to see some people don't respect other property ugh. Cheers Bud!
Can this show the cabin too? Does it have a night vision?
Hi Edwin! the front camera can be installed pointed to the inside of the car if you want to show the cabin instead. Regarding night vision, nope this does not have it, however here is a great alternative that does have real night vision (I.R.) th-cam.com/video/JJKbUu_egiE/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, cheers!
It says on the website (as the time of this writing) that all 4 cameras has night vision.
I just bought this, and waiting for it to arrive.
Congrats on your new dash cam system by the way! the AKY-Z3GT is definitely a cool system to upgrade to, just a tremendous amount of coverage from pretty much every side. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thanks! been waiting for this one since I saw your video about their 3 cameras.
very much needed it since I live in NYC 😅
Does it record 24 hours even when it's parked at night? Someone tried to break in my car just yesterday 😕 hoping to catch whoever it is when this system arrives
Which computer software did you use to access the video footages?
Hi Elaine! The media player software that is included with some computers can playback the videos, or you can also use the Akeeyo dedicated player which also shows the GPS information (moving map) along with the video or you can use one of the several media players that are available in the internet to playback the video (such VLC) Hope this helps, Cheers!
Oh snap was not expexting that stash
LOL!
I'm not sure why my Akeeyo LCD screen overheats easily.
Hi Elanie! That is strange, the system is rated at a maximum temperature of 160°F assuming you are not close to that, it should be good. If you are still having overheating issues I would also recommend contacting Akeeyo for support, they may just be able to walk your thru some trouble shooting steps. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Where can o buy this product
Hi Roy! I put a link to it in the video description. Hope this helps and cheers!
Would you be able to help me with the dimension specs of the monitor? I checked the website for specifications, and it only mentions a screen size of 5.5 inches. L x B X H will help me determine where this fits the best.
Thanks Arjit! Here you go: 5.75" wide by 3.75" tall, adding the stand adds another 1" for a total height of 4.75" Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun You are the best! Thanks for helping me out.
You're welcome!
I really think that they need to make the cigarette lighter adapter with usb outputs for phone charging and any other options
Hi ban annah! yeah I really like when they add USB ports to a cigarette lighter plug, that way I can still charge my phone and not have have to run a cigarette lighter port splitter or hardwire the dash cam. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun exactlyyyy right? Lovin your vids!
Thank you ban!
@@AlexAutoFun say, can you see on the screen only the 2 side cameras on split screen? Like without the back camera above
I cant find it when i click the link. Id love the ones that goes on side of car.
Also your stash caught me off guard aha
LoL! Just checked the links, both are working. I placed two links, one to Amazon and one to get it direct from Akeeyo in the case Amazon does not carry it in your area. Cheers!
What is cost in India and how can purchase in India sir
Hi Shashi! The price changes often, depending if it's on sale or they have a coupon going. I put a link to it on the video description, if you like to check it. Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun have u any coupon. Bcoz its costly in india
@@shashi60 Hi Shasi! Nope unfortunately Akeeyo typically does not issue coupons. Cheers from California!
MRP Kiya Hai Ji
Hey you actually got it, that's kool. You know what they say, great minds think alike even though I actually got the camera for RV's only because the screen is actually wider allowing me to use it as my review mirror. It's an amazing feeling knowing that you have all sides covered on your vehicle & knowing you can't lose an insurance claim ever!! Unless of course you're the one actually at fault lol. Nice job bud.
Thanks Dominic! yeah the more coverage the better!
do they have a cord for rear view camera long enough for 40ft RV?
@@JrEss408 If I remember correctly the longest cord was about 63ft or so.
Thx for the review, i have been holding off buying dash cams, cuz i was waiting for something similar to the top view 360. Just like some OEM camera systems. And this one seems like a good substitute. 😁
I've been enjoying your work for a while now
hopefully this is the product I've been looking for
you gave it justice with your review excellent work
Would love to know what size the screen
sincerely jay from England
Thank you Junior! ah yes the screen size 5.5" not too large not too small. Cheers from California!
That's pretty impressive.
I hope the next future of car cams would be plug in play
Hi Maxmil! yeah that would be pretty awesome, like Tesla how they come like that from factory..
@@AlexAutoFun What about the Night vision on this thing is it Clear thank bro love your videos more power : )
@@maxmilbredes897 Thank you Maxmil! ah yes regarding night vision, this dash cam does not have that feature (this feature is somewhat rare on dash cams) but here is one that does th-cam.com/video/JJKbUu_egiE/w-d-xo.html in mirror style and one that has it on stick style th-cam.com/video/I2M0RgzI0S8/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun is the black cam also water proof and if i direct it to the fuse box will it drain the battery.
@@maxmilbredes897 Hi Maxmil Bredes! I'm assuming you are referring to the black side camera? if so, yes it is waterproof. Regarding connecting it to the fuse box, the Akeeyo hardwire kit for this system has low voltage protection to avoid draining the battery (video on the hardwire kit coming, stay tuned) Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hey Interesting Installation and Test. However, can you do a WiFi Review Please 🙏🏾
Most people Don't Do a WiFi Test and Review, Which is Really Important for someone Wanting to Monitor their Vehicle, whilst Away from it.
Thank you much in advance 👍🏾
Hi 51! Ah the Akeeyo Z3GT does not support Wifi. Also remember, Wifi enabled dash cams do not let you access the videos while your away from the car. What you are looking for is a Cloud connected dash cam like this one th-cam.com/video/EBLvq2X2SwQ/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/pe7MCtun4So/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/8Q-u3PHmfls/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/BAEH4f2ulEs/w-d-xo.html (live video, tracking, notifications to your phone etc.) Cheers!Cheers!
Great Video. Excellent Camera.
Thank you Digital!
Very nice review
Thanks Edwin!
Akeeyo forgot sumthin. It should be 5cameras. Side cameras, front, inside and rear.
Hi Francis! ah remember this system support four channels (four cameras): two sides, rear and one front. The front channel is the camera that can be placed facing any direction (front if you want to be a front camera, or cabin if you want it to be a cabin camera or another position you can think of) Hope this helps, Cheers!
