Is the 5 or so point ding worth the lower debt ratio in the future? I don’t see much information about this being shared. Does applying for a card, not being used or minimally used, a good move?
Yes I think it's a good idea applying for a car to have leverage and to lower your debt ratio I've done this in the past and I'm trying it again to see how it works if you're building your credit having a card that you really don't use a whole lot is a good thing I had got a Fingerhut card one-time not really to use but to have to add to my credit line so my utilization ratio would be lower and it worked out pretty good then I got rid of the Fingerhut card after a year I never use the card actually yes I think having Leverage is important
Probably. I've added 4 cards in a month and my score dropped 20-35 once it gets on my report. It's no big deal because once it posts the first statement, you start getting a bump. Although now you have too many inquiries for awhile. My TU took a huge inquiry hit this year. Next time I'm spreading them out over all the bureaus. Like 2-4 with each bureau and then just sit awhile before doing again. Lol
I applied to two credit cards two weeks apart and my credit score dropped 99 points lol it was more so due to a huge jump in credit utilization, tho. If that is the age of your oldest account, it is relatively short, if it is the average age of multiple accounts, it is mid range. You likely won't be joining the 800 club yet, but should be able to hit solidly in the good to very good range, depending on how the rest of your credit profile looks.
Yes but credit history is only 15% of your score where as payment history and debt is 35% and 30% respectively, personally I have relatively short history cause of my age but my payment history over 10 years is perfect and I have 0 debt so my score is over 800 and I get approved for anything I apply for.

I applied for 2 us bank cards and 1 capitol one got approved or 2/3 cards got a total of 4 inquiries is that good or bad I wanted to apply for another card in spring/summer of 2022 I’A
Any tips my credit score is 705 and 650 on credit karma and a 705 on credit wise with capitol one but discover shows me 605 can someone explain
I got approved for 5 credit lines at once in 1 month .. took a huge nose dive! Went from a 770 Fico to 755
Bright side you got credit & have funding to leverage from ! Scores can always go back up & be improved
Dude that’s nope huge at all!! That’s what it’s for.
You a got a great deal. 5 credit lines for 15 points!
That’s not bad. And will bounce up soon
Hello, sir, I pre-applied for my first credit card I was approved but I just had paid rent I didn't have the 100 dollars to deposit so they could not send the card. I have 4 days to make that deposit so I could receive the card. If I don't make the deposit will it affect me I I try to apply for it again?
I’m getting a lot of credit card offers through the mail. Can I play for one every once in a while even though I don’t really need more credit? Is the 5 or so point ding worth the lower debt ratio in the future? I don’t see much information about this being shared. Does applying for a card, not being used or minimally used, a good move?
^^
Yes I think it's a good idea applying for a car to have leverage and to lower your debt ratio I've done this in the past and I'm trying it again to see how it works if you're building your credit having a card that you really don't use a whole lot is a good thing I had got a Fingerhut card one-time not really to use but to have to add to my credit line so my utilization ratio would be lower and it worked out pretty good then I got rid of the Fingerhut card after a year I never use the card actually yes I think having Leverage is important
I just applied for 2 and got denied for both a week later. Do they count as 1 inquiry?! Thank you
Yup
If you did them at the same time yeah. Otherwise no
Great advice
No offense, but I wish you had a better camera. 😜✌️
i gor 3 in one day.
OH shit !!! OK
How many inquires did you get?
I never want to do this but it will be interesting to see someone’s credit drop 200 points by applying for 10 credit cards at once
Lol
I have a thick file, so I don't get as much of a hit on hps and new accts, but average age of accts and inquiries take me down
I applied to two credit cards two weeks apart and my credit score dropped 99 points lol it was more so due to a huge jump in credit utilization, tho. I put an Airbnb stay on one of the cards and because it had 0% APR, I didn't bother paying it down that quickly. The inquiries themselves were responsible for about 30 points of the total
@@secretchipmunk7 so how much did your score drop after your spree?
@@houseofob3479 20-30 pts adding 3... 3hps, lowering average age, and one account was added onto report with balance showing... So just hard pulls on a very thick file, 10pts?
Hello! I was advise to get approved for card #1 first before proceeding onto the card #2
Apply for chase first they are a lot more pickier with their clients
Gersen and they have a 5/24 rule
Yes! I spoke with a Chase rep today and she advised the same thing
Nice video 😃
Great tactics! 🇺🇲👍
Actual human lol😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
I have a high credit score of 756 but a low credit card history of 2 months. I would like to do a spree for 2 cards. What is you think? Thanks in advance
What did you do I’m planning on getting the Chase freedom but I only have 8 months of credit history
That's not a high score bro lol
Chris Well, no it’s not high but it’s better than average and that’s good for now. I will get it up as I get more accounts. My score is below 756 right now but it’s with only 2 accounts. I’m
Below the required 5 accounts. Once I get up to par my score will raise eventually. I’m not even worried.
Don’t listen to Chris. He’s being a smart ass and probably has a score below you

Im young and i made this mistake. I have so many inquiries
Yea? How many? I want 3 cards.. Had 1 for a yr now.. Just got approved for my 2nd one last week. I'm tempted to go for my 3rd today lol
I applied for 2 credit cards can I go back in a month for the next!
Coty Mahar you would be looked as a risky client if you do that and they will reject you typically you should wait 6 months
My Credit score is 710. I would like to apply for Capital One Venture Travel card, as well as Chase Freedom unlimited at the same time. Advise
Gersen I applied today just got approved for Capital One Venture One 3K
@@BMXKINGSBIKES If you don't mind me asking, what was your credit score when you applied?
My TU- 726, EX- 717, EQ- 671 and I had like 5 inquiries on each of them as well
@@BMXKINGSBIKES Good for you! I'm still up in the air between Venture and Chase Sapphire Preferred.
I haven’t received my card yet it’s still in transit coming me so I couldn’t really tell off hand by experience how this cars stands up but from what I heard from lots of my friends it’s a pretty good travel card
👍
Is 5 years credit history paid perfect considered “short time”?
Depends on average age. Under 2 years, yes that's short. As far as 5 years for oldest card, it's in the middle. Not high not low.
Ideally they look for 9+ years average across all lines.
APP SPREE Lol hahahaha🤣😂🤣😂
Did this man legit put a fake thing on his thumbnail to make it look like we watched his video before and and are resuming it now... pathetic
actually it is just a screen grab, stopped doing it after someone else mentioned the same thing you brought up, it never occurred to me that people would see it that way.
Dude, I thought that was an awesome prank 😂. That was funny the first time I found the video
Say wha?? I'll be honest with u... I have no idea what you're talking about.
Seriously, absolutely no clue.
