I’ve allowed my ego to get in the way of my relationships which ultimately destroyed them. I was loving and becoming attached to my partners not with my heart, but with my ego. I’m wide awake today. I know for a fact that as long as I can get rid of my ego, I can truly love someone for who they are and not for what I can gain from them. Man this has been a tough pill to swallow

Don't be so hard on yourself. It's all good. Never forget to be kind to yourself. Everyone is just you pushed out so they're your messengers on your state of being at the moment. Cherish this knowledge and work on yourself...

May I ask respectfully how you came to the realización of this? Did someone try to tell you, or did you have an eureka moment in your life? I have family members that have this blind spot, and sometimes I feel I should tell tell, and sometimes I feel exhausted, and I don't want to deal with them. I just avoid interactions with them, but at the same time, I wonder if they know they have a lot of pride and ego.

People shouldn’t be treated as means to an end, it’s the philosophy of Kant. We are all guilty of it, myself included.
The key factor is that you are aware of it now. It takes a strong person to look their flaws in the eye and face up to them.
      Hope you are doing well

Ever noticed that a lack of sleep supercharged the ego chatter... but early nights and quality sleep silences the ego? Finally realising this after staying up till 3am most of my life. When we sleep we connect back to source, when we don't sleep ego takes over the body avd mind

Removing your ego is a journey:
    1. Be self-aware.
    2. Practice humility.
    3. Cultivate empathy.
    4. Learn from criticism.
    5. Try mindfulness.
    6. Develop gratitude.
    7. Serve others.
    8. Reflect on impermanence.
It’s about managing, not eliminating, your ego with patience and self-compassion.

I struggle with my ego. I just really allowed myself to accept that, and today is the first day i am seeking guidance on how to progress to the next step of my growth. I like to maintain control in all things, and will completely isolate myself from situations/people/groups i can't control. Right now my biggest focus is being a team player at work instead of the lone wolf. It feels terrifying to trust and open up energetically - i just have never done it.

    • @user-jn6jm4bb6f
      @user-jn6jm4bb6f 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Never struggle with your ego, learn how to use it wisely. The ego is the dark side of the light. We were born to see light but over time we became like bats, we "see" in the dark, we feel comfortable in the dark and the ego is the dark. On the other hand, the light, the light has become darkness for us. If you listen to the ego, open your ears to the poison it speaks, do its advice, submit yourself to its threats, you will forever remain its slave, a bat. Therefore, when used correctly, the ego can be used by you as a "mine detector", as a device that indicates where your next challenge is, the door to your next step. Where the ego runs amok, there lies your next test.

Ego is not the Enemy. It can appear to be, I know. But see it like this: Ego is your greatest teacher and the transformation takes on a whole new way of looking at our selves. Ego is just a data-code, if you like, in a dream world. No enemies needed. Peace

I have been told for years that my gift of change and the way I could flow from one situation to another was a bad thing and that without being sent from constant I was not being authentic and was not capable of getting to know myself not taking a deeper look if possible tools to accomplish such a thing I've now learned that they were asking you to limit myself they were asking me to fit into the fold rather than accepting my authentic self. The only time I suffer self-doubt and emotional peaks and valleys is when I'm trying to be stationary. So instead of changing myself I only need to accept myself I've learned a lot here so far thank you

The main issue at hand, as I think I understand it, would seem to be achieving general acceptance of all that you have clearly pointed out here. I believe that the points that you have made here are spot on, the real truth of ego & the problematic situations it presents in every day life. Pride & peoples need to be right all the time, while being virtually unable to accept being corrected, often coupled with perpetually needing to have the last word.
Wisdom comes when we realize the huge amount that we do not know.
BTW, I really enjoy the content of your channel, I've only discovered it within the last week or so, & I am finding that I can't get enough, You seem to have a talent for choosing topics of real interest, keep it up. Regards from Australia, 🙂

One of the most simplistic, and impactful presentations I have come across. Similar to a detective attempting to solve a case, the small, subtle evidences that lead to enlightenment can be found once you truly begin to search... personally I found that those evidences eventually lead you here... "to the Ego". Letting go of, and outgrowing the ego appears to be the door you must enter in order to find the peaceful Zen like, enlightened state of mind that many search for. This presentation truly sums that up. 👏🏽

Yes Indeed ego is the worst enemy . It’s the monster within which prevents faith to translate into submission and loyalty to the oneness of the universe. It brings along fear and judgment of self when dealing with higher powers, only to break the bridge that leads to the perfect destiny and to leave you in the middle of “nothing “. While when dealing with others, it separates you to make you lonely but still stubborn. It makes you count your days waiting for someone to be able to see through you.
Letting go of the ego is a process of training the self how to let go of the SECOND THOUGHTS, and it’s like erasing one horizon and extending yourself to reach a new one with faith, which brings trust, and loyalty which keeps you on track.
We can , we can , we can

I'm trying to observe thoughts but sometimes a thought comes in and i cannot deny it and it's a "negative" thought...
I'm trying to observe thought and the reaction
    eactor to thought
Sometimes the state comes in that i don't have to pay attention to thoughts, but other times it's like i'm glued to being the reaction and accepting them even tho i desperatly just want to observe them without judgement...

    • @WisdomNuggets
      @WisdomNuggets  ปีที่แล้ว +4

It's completely normal to experience challenges when trying to observe thoughts without judgment. Our minds can be quite active, and negative thoughts can arise from time to time. Remember that the practice of observing thoughts is just that-a practice. It takes time and patience to develop the skill of non-judgmental observation.
When you find yourself getting caught up in negative thoughts or being reactive, try these techniques:
      1. Acknowledge the thought: Recognize that it's just a passing thought and not a reflection of who you are.
      2. Reframe the thought: Challenge negative thoughts by reframing them in a more positive or neutral light.
      3. Focus on the present moment: Shift your attention to your immediate surroundings or engage in an activity that brings you joy or calmness.
      4. Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself and understand that everyone experiences negative thoughts at times. Treat yourself with understanding and patience.
Remember, it's okay to have thoughts and reactions. The key is to observe them without judgment and let them pass. With continued practice, you'll become more skilled at observing thoughts without getting caught up in them. Keep up the effort, and over time, you'll find greater peace and clarity.

No one is without an ego. It is created from the summation of all our experiences since birth. It's who we believe ourselves to be compared to the world around us. Ego is only bad when we become unaware of it. Then there is the propensity to create irrational fears and a feeling of separateness. I believe the source of all the worlds problems, from petty arguments to world wars can be traced back the ego from either complete unawareness of it or the inability to control it. When you are unaware of your ego you are susceptible to con men and demagogues. You are more easily manipulated by advertising and fads and politics and religion.

Ego means self in latin. Control your ego, reign it in, but do not let go of it, as ego is also your originality
