Garth Brooks is the #2 biggest selling artist of all-time. I forgot who was #1, but MJ was 5 or 6. When Garth did his Central Park concert the crowd was estimated at a million, for a country singer, in NYC!! That's how GREAT Garth Brooks was ... a million NEW YORKERS turned up to see him in concert.
@2GunRock @johnpaulbacon8320 Yes, The Beatles have sold more, but Garth is the top-selling SOLO artist of ALL TIME! Also, Garth has NINE DIAMOND RECORDS... more than anyone, ever! The Beatles, are #2 with 6 albums! Garth will eventually beat them in record sales also. The Beatles have been selling albums for 25 years longer than Garth. Eventually, he'll surpass them! He has beaten out Michael Jackson and ELVIS!!! And yes, his live performance is FIRE! Not sure I'd say it's better than MJ's, but it's close! I was ROW THREE, CENTER STAGE... right up front at the Worcester, MA show on 2-28-16... that concert changed my LIFE! Hubby was next to me, and my brother and his wife were right behind us! Hubby took all the pictures and video, so I could just enjoy the concert! We were close enough to actually hear HIM sing without the microphone! INCREDIBLE!!!!! Other than getting married and having our son... this was the BEST day of my life!
Garth has sold more albums than ANY single artist and second only to the Beatles for most albums of ANY GENRE. He has set more attendance and sellout speed than any other artists. He is considered the BEST entertainer in any genre. His concerts are FIRE! 3 hrs long. He sings everything and his crowd interactions are second to none.
The Dance is a metaphor for Life. The song is about living life without regret. That the pains in life are worth it because of all the happy times that come with it.
It's not about a dance it's about LIFE. How you live it and how you die with no regrets. In the video they show Martin Luther King, John F Kenned and the Challenger Astronauts.
Because his music is not on any digital or streaming platforms, including TH-cam and his label takes any reactions down. You can pretty much only get it on CD
Because his music is not on any digital or streaming platforms, including TH-cam and his label takes any reactions down. You can pretty much only get it on CD
There was a Garth Brooks PBS special I started watching as I was getting ready for New Years Eve and I ended up watching the whole thing bc it was so fascinating. He was playing different genres of music and showing how those songs directly influenced his music.
The official video has all kinds of people who were taken too soon, like Martin Luther King (shown when he said something about the king falling) & the crew of the Challenger that blew up on take-off etc. He is telling us to live life full speed ahead & don't miss 'the dance' out of fear. Not necessarily a literal dance. And Garth has a spunky side too like in 'Ain't goin' down' or Shameless' for example.
Too bad you can't find the video, it is really good too. So glad you found the real audio though. Also, this song has me crying by the 5th note. After my daughter was stillborn at 38 weeks, this song just cuts too deep.
You need to watch this with the music video because at the end of the song he actually speaks about what the song means and represents. He says “if I should ever leave this world unexpectedly, I hope they play the dance for me.”
It is so unfortunate that young people today don't have the attention span to really listen to something like this song. They totally missed the point. There's a lot of philosophy in what he's saying. If we could see the future, we might change it to avoid something unpleasant and in doing so we would miss out on something special. Our lives are better left to chance. I really wanted this guy to get the meaning, but he was too involved in country "twang" to hear what was being said. This is true of a lot of younger people today. Listening has become a lost art.
The song is about loosing someone and remembering “the dance” of their life and time together. George is the king of country but sorry Garth is the GOAT
Garth Brooks’ last tour was a stadium tour. College football stadiums. He sold out every single one within 90 mins and the cheapest tickets at Donald W Reynolds (Arkansas) were $95 nosebleeds. Some 90,000+ tickets were sold just there.
Love the reaction, great job! But more importantly, love y’all’s connection with each other. Your adoration for each other shines through! Stay Joy filled!
George Straigt is the King of Country. He has the most #1 hits of any one in country music ever. He has over 60+ #1's. Yes Garth is great but not that many.
OK... I love this song and I cry every time I hear it. My parents died when I was young .. I went through pain ...heart ache .. but I wouldn't have wanted any other parents so I would take the dance .. to know them and love them even though there was pain. Our grandparents took us In when they were gone. The same goes for them.. I loved them so dearly and it broke my heart when they died.. but I would take that pain again .. because I loved them so much. I hope this explains what the song means to me
Garth Brooks is the Top Selling US Solo Artist of ALL TIME!!! He beats Michael Jackson and Elvis! He has NINE DIAMOND ALBUMS, the most of anyone EVER! #2 in diamond records is The Beatles with SIX!
If you're wanting the king of country, then that would be Johnny Cash. There's no greater country legend than The Man In Black. I suggest Hurt, it was his swan song. The last song he recorded. It was originally a Nine Inch Nails song, but Johnny took it and made it his own.
The Duo - Brooks and Dunn ; listen to Boot Scootin' Boogie. If there was a group counterpart to Garth Brooks - it would have to be - Alabama ( The most successful country group of all time ). Please at least listen to a few of their songs.
The song was written by Tony Astrada and Garth heard the song one day before he became famous and Garth said if he ever made it can he record it. Tony also wrote The Change in response to the Oklahoma City bombing. Watch the video with it and you can really hear how talented he is
Great video. Garth Brooks has a lot of songs - The River ; Pappa , Loved , Mamma ; The Thunder Rolls ; The Night I Called The Old Man Out ; Friends In Low Places , Honky Tonk Bar Association are some you should at least listen to _ even if you don't make a video for any of them.
Garth's song " the thunder rolls" was one of my favorites but you have to listen to the long version with the last verse most of the recordings don't have the last verse
The river is and has been my number one song of all time, you should do a reaction on that!! Also, Jo Dee Messina “I’m Alright”, just because it’s really fun.
This song is about a break up. He's saying that even if he knew the relationship was going to end to he wouldn't have skipped that dance because he would have missed all of their good times.
My folks went to see Garth Brooks in 2006, and they haven’t been seen since. Where is my family, Garth? We just want closure. Tell us where the bodies are, G!
There is no shame in embracing other genres of music. Especially country, where the beat, rhythem and harmony are manually made as opposed to created with a software. The older I get, the more I am amazed by the instruments people have in their throats than I am Dr. Dre's - still dre beat
You should definitely pull up the lyrics for country songs. Listening isn't always enough 😂 Also please do 3 wooden crosses. It's one of the best songs about caring about other humans no matter who they are.
I don't think that this song must be about a love relation, it can be about life and what makes you into you. If it can be so, then THE DANCE is about making things the wrong, or right way and learning from it, right? Perhaps the DANCE is about taking the CHANCE, you could win, or lose, but you never know unless you try it, right? That is how I think about the song, that kind of makes it different if you listen to it like that, right? If i am not wrong, then in the original video you see pictures of among others MLK
6:26 🤦🏻♀️ nah, Sis, lol...the correct term is *MONOTONY*, which is defined as tedious and repetitious; of a sound or utterance, lacking in variation in tone or pitch. pronounced: muh-nah-tuh-nee *not autonomy, which means man's free-will or the right of one's own for self-governance, i.e. personal independence). ....but you were close 😉
I started thinking he should hear The River after he made his first comment. I don’t think he’s missing a history with the music. It’s his inability to be genuinely open minded to the music. Keep in mind that this kind of romance has been vilified in black culture for a good while now. I absolutely commend his willingness to start opening himself up to it. I think once he can get past the voices in his head of all the people in his past that used to get immediate praise and a sense of acceptance for clowning country music. He will be able to experience the emotions that you do. It very much looks like he loves the qualities in you that were nurtured by this type of music. Once he’s able to get over his past conditioning and recognizes the connection, he’ll be on board. I had the same issue in reverse, growing up in the hills raised on Country music, it took me moving to Oakland CA and meeting people who were connected to Rap and R&B for me to truly open my mind to a previously vilified music. But I got there. Now I’m a huge DJ Quik and Suga Free fan.
You did not seem to get this song. Possibly it was due to the playful distributions. Your reaction didn't inspire me to to listen to more of your reactions. Since you are asking for Garth Brooks songs . He sang a song on the Kiss Tribute album. It was called hard luck woman. I remember when it first came out. I went to the music store in the mall and was asking for the kiss song that garth brooks had sang. The guy began to school me on how garth was a country singer and kiss was a rock singer . He was telling me how wrong i was and trying to make me look stupid. After a few minute of his telling me how wrong i was his manager came out of the back. Thinking his boss would get a good laugh at my expense too he called him over. He was laughing as he started to explain to his manager what i was asking for. Just then his manager oh yeah that is right over here picking up a cd and handing it to him to look at. The manager walked with us to the register. As he was ringing me up I told the manager. Perhaps you should hire someone more knowledgeable about music so they would be able to help find what then customer was looking for.
Olá irmãos, eu gostaria de pedir á vocês um "react" de uma música country brasileira (Sertanejo). Talvez seja algo novo para vocês, mas acredito que podem gostar. O que vocês pensam deste desafio? Eu ficaria honrado.
Well it is your show, and I think you just stopped way too much and you make too much noise can't listen to the song I I'm just going to leave have a good time

its amazing how many people havent heard Garth when hes sold the 2nd most albums only being outsold by the Beatles
Because his music is not on any digital or streaming platforms, including TH-cam and his label takes any reactions down.

George Strait is the King and will always be the best!!!!

My husband is a black man and I LOVE introducing the BEST country songs to him! He loves Colder Weather, In Case You Didn’t Know, and Tomorrow
Freddie Mercury and Queen are the greatest legends of all time!!

Garth Brooks normally plays guitar but he played saxophone for a song called One Night a Day. Such a beautiful piece and it’s so underrated.
This is one song that makes this good ole boy cry
I grew up on country and Garth is my favorite of all time. And he looks exactly like my dad and my dad sings just like him too
Garth Brooks is the Top Selling US Solo Artist of ALL TIME!!! He beats Michael Jackson and Elvis! He has NINE DIAMOND ALBUMS, the most of anyone EVER! #2 in diamond records is The Beatles with SIX!
You need to visit his catalog lol he is up there in Beatles, MJ, Elvis level of sales

The King of country is George Strait but Gary is a Legrand and great performer.

This song was dedicated to the greatest driver in NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Sr. It will break your heart to see it.
I remember going to a GB concert 30 years ago and it was 25k+ people then and he just got bigger since then lol
This song is about a break up. He's saying that even if he knew the relationship was going to end to he wouldn't have skipped that dance because he would have missed all of their good times.
Well you just made me cry...I always do with this dong. I relate it to losing my mom.
He does play piano. In his video, The Red Strokes, he plays.
Garth Brooks co wrote the River way before he became famous
Need to react to The Thunder rolls
This song breaks me though
LOVE GARTH! More more more!
This is The Mick Lloyd connection it's not the Garth Brooks version.. it's hard to find anything by Garth Brooks on TH-cam..
I enjoyed your review and subscribed. i would love to see you review Garth brooks' Shameless song
You guys are ADORABLE
My folks went to see Garth Brooks in 2006, and they haven’t been seen since. Where is my family, Garth? We just want closure. Tell us where the bodies are, G!
Oh and he LOVES Almost Home
If you want to get his heart racing, try "Ain't Going Down Till The Sun Comes Up "
Good Choice of song but my favorite is. If tomorrow never comes or shameless
Sammy, fangirling from the first note 🙂😉👍🏻
Check out his Central Park Concert that was great

Garth Brooks'a live shows are inspired by Kiss of all things.
You should definitely pull up the lyrics for country songs. Listening isn't always enough 😂
Also please do 3 wooden crosses. It's one of the best songs about caring about other humans no matter who they are.
Idk, I feel he might actually dig If Tomorrow Never Comes. Since it's not necessarily just about romantic love.
I sang this song to my wife of 53 years ar her funeral
If he wants upbeat you should react to "Ain't Going Down Til the Sun Comes Up"
Listen too CORMAC THOMPSON A " LES MISERABLES " , SONG ABOUT TABLE AND CHAIRS
He has sold more albums then anyone in history
That Summer
React to Ain't Going Til the Sun Comes Up
First song should’ve been friends in low places
It’s better/easier to get the meaning if you watch the video with it. The problem is it’s a little tough to find the video.
It's pretty easy to understand just from the audio. Sometimes the videos add too much that wasn't originally intended.
Should check out his song We Shall Be Free.
I don't think that this song must be about a love relation, it can be about life and what makes you into you.

It is a hell of a lot better than rap or r n b
He didn't listen to the words. Played at my friend's funeral being murdered.

Sad song but poignant

Cuz it’s TWANG
Bo Burnham got it perfect didn't he?
I'm sorry I'm with your wife when it comes to Garth Brooks he is the bomb
You need to watch the video
I felt nothing 😂
You pause at THE WORST TIMES! Listen to the story!
My apologies. I have to pause if I want to monetize the video but I can work on timing.
He doesn’t get it, girl…
George Strait Is the best. Garth is great but not the best
For me it is Waylon.
U lost ur mind Garth is the real king
Garth is better
Never
Garth and George are number’s 1&2….the order doesn’t matter
This song was good but that's about it he's so arrogant
You know, do you think if you tried you could screw up a song reaction any worse then you two just did? I seriously doubt it!
He has no clue
Too much pausing eh.
Ill be respectful. Stop talking and LISTEN. TOTALLY UNWATCHABLE
Well it is your show, and I think you just stopped way too much and you make too much noise can't listen to the song I I'm just going to leave have a good time
