@@stevent4955what other benefits have you received from stretching. Do you feel overall much better less sluggish, and much more flexible. Does it help aid weightloss better along with weights and diet.
I agree. Flexibility is more valuable than most people know. The lives of so many people are centred around desk work these days and this can cause real problems with psoas muscles etc. Well done for taking this on Max!

Hey Max, What a great video, that's so cool what you achieved in 30 days. Stretching is so important and it's a pity more people don't know about it's benefits. Cheers, Johnny!
Just found your channel, and forgive me if I missed this (I skimmed through the titles of your videos)-but consider learning Brazilian jiu jitsu. (Real, legit jiu jitsu, not the fake martial arts stuff that’s out there...). I’m a 30-something female who just started about 1.5 years ago. Lost almost 30 lbs in the first year. Hadn’t done anything quite that intense or athletic before (much less grappling or contact sport). Did my first competition about 13 months after starting. Changed my life. And it’s also purportedly the martial art that takes the longest to get a black belt compared to others, haha.
Can you elaborate? I used to do martial arts as a kid and thinking of starting again, what kind of fitness do they train at BJJ? Most people I've met are are dudebros, I dont know if I could slam another chick into the ground or want to be..
Great stuff, when you do your lunges and squats be sure to keep your knees in line with your big toe and don’t let your knee(s) go beyond your big toe, you want to be able to see your toes, and for the lunge your knees should be at a 90 degree angle, (or as close as possible.) or else you’re putting needless pressure on the joints. And not getting the stretch you could be.
Mark Mirabella actually past 90 degrees the load is more distributed through the hips than the knees, knees should track the toes yes but squats that are intentionally stopped at 90 put more stress on the lower back and knees compared to full squats opening the knee joint up fully - although for most regular people it can take a long time to acquire the flexibility needed so that’s what makes the deep squat ultimately dangerous for them
Mark Mirabella traditional martial arts and sport MMA, I am a Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting coach and CrossFit trainer and have studied all things to do with range of motion and therapy. My work for the past 4 years has been focused purely on specific mobility for individual requirements so I work with everyone from advanced yoga students to strongman competitors filling the gaps in their training as many people that specialise in one thing do so at a cost to their body 😊
Mark Mirabella yes it’s important to know where your knee is when doing lunges! What Max was actually working on building towards was a deep split squat, this is a fantastic progression for building a deeper squat as some people aren’t quite ready to just “sit in a squat” so doing one side at a time is way more achievable at the start! I also have loaded these up to 70kg for reps too! Great movement th-cam.com/video/Q0S_UdppWgU/w-d-xo.html

Kiza D WhiteHorse only until he got himself out of the major pain he was in. Max had a different starting point and we needed something he could fit in to a busy schedule 😊
Andrew Jones at his worst point he had to stretch for that long in order to get his body functioning again, now he doesn’t need that same amount. Same as myself when I injured my back, I had to do 90 minutes in the morning before even being able to do basic strength exercises which basically looked like more stretching and had to do the same before going to bed also. Now I happily lift and train how I want and only need to maintain what I have which takes little effort. That’s the extreme, Max was not in that same state as him so 20 minutes in the morning and a smaller routine in the evening was absolutely fine and more achievable. With everyone I work with their biggest obstacle is thinking “when am I going to fit that in!?” Small bursts daily is best for the general population, but if you wanted a movement like the splits for example which is more advanced flexibility then more time would need to be spent!
@@TomMorrison That's not true. At his worst point he stretched even longer. Now he stretches for 2 hours daily. If you don't stretch for 2 hours this title is simply clickbaiting.

Caleb Powell it’s a standard wrestling warm up that you progress over time for that very reason! Last thing you want is to experience that position at speed for the first time!
Caleb Powell don’t force it, just gently one leg at a time for a while progressively adding pressure, I spent up to a year+ doing most of the more extreme ones

Caleb Powell I would focus more on balance and stability drills like this one too, the joint prehab only makes up a small part really th-cam.com/video/pTnXfSvMzq8/w-d-xo.html
Why is it that when I see people talk about stretching they start doing calisthenics? Is this a new trend. What about static stretches? I've never found anything more effective to increase my range of motion than static stretches and P.N.F. with a partner. I'm pretty happy with my flexibility overall, but some days my body needs more attention than others. Still, this video seems to be another example of people using "functional movement" instead of regularly working to increase range of motion. Active stretching doesn't relax my muscle. It's part of a warm up for many, but I want my muscle to be relaxed and then I do light sets of less reps and less weight. Slowly, I increase tension as I increase sets to make it more challenging. Then, at the end of the workout, I do static or P.N.F. stretching again. When I do this regularly, it makes movement so much easier.
Timothy De Vita static stretches can be beneficial for many people but if they are your only form then you can lack stability. If you move well during your training and use movements that require a full range of motion then static stretching is great after workouts! Main thing is that it works for you and you enjoy it! As ultimately we want things that we’ll be more likely to do more often 😄
Ryanem he did at one point but only as he was so incredibly broken, working with Max we wanted something that was easily done every day within the time constraints of a normal person with a busy schedule. In some cases over stretching can be counterproductive and dangerous as a loss of stability can occur 😄
I remember doing that as a kid and mucking about. It felt good. I reckon kids do this stuff naturally and we just loose it as we age. It looked crazy though didn’t it!??
TH's Lifestyle that’s actually a standard warm up from wrestling! You would not heavy load those movements but it is important to have strength there for when you would get taken out of alignment during sport or just general accidents like slipping on ice etc, very important😄
Shovel the full daily routines max used are my online training programs, here is a great mini routine though that you could get started with 😄 tommorrison.uk/blog/2017-01-31/the-ultimate-daily-mobility-routine
Deji D that is a regression variation that helps develop one side at a time, elevated heel on one side helps the other side to get deeper into the hip 😊
Sean Mulholland he did when he was at his worst, nice thing is though that when you get to a certain point you don’t need to stretch as often so you can focus more on things you enjoy! 😄

Very inspiring 👍👍👍
Thank you! 👏🏻
Tom is basically jujumufu
Тит Манович now that’s a compliment!!! 😄 absolutely love juji and Tom! Definitely people I would love to meet one day 💪🏼💪🏼 Thankyou for commenting!

Great video..but put a battery in your clock
Defenitely starting this. I'm sooo stiff.
Awesome 💪🏻
Great video! Goggins stretches for 2 hours at night. Not sure how this is like his routine.
Ryanem he did at one point but only as he was so incredibly broken, working with Max we wanted something that was easily done every day within the time constraints of a normal person with a busy schedule. In some cases over stretching can be counterproductive and dangerous as a loss of stability can occur 😄
Ryanem clickbait
Ik this old but did you grow taller by doing this?
awesome work 💚💛🧡💜💙
Did you became taller after stretching?
Maybe you can try Mandarin ?
In 30 days ?? Lmaoo that's a good challenge 😆😆😅
Tom Morrison goes to my martial arts school
Nice work
Dude wtf is that ?? How come he is walking with his ankles turned ???
I remember doing that as a kid and mucking about. It felt good. I reckon kids do this stuff naturally and we just loose it as we age. It looked crazy though didn’t it!??
TH's Lifestyle that’s actually a standard warm up from wrestling! You would not heavy load those movements but it is important to have strength there for when you would get taken out of alignment during sport or just general accidents like slipping on ice etc, very important😄
Are the routines available on a playlist or a video?
Shovel the full daily routines max used are my online training programs, here is a great mini routine though that you could get started with 😄

Aren't the squats supposed to be flat footed?
Deji D that is a regression variation that helps develop one side at a time, elevated heel on one side helps the other side to get deeper into the hip 😊
Doesn’t Dave stretch for
Like 3/4 hours a day .. it’s insane g
He said once he does 2 hours of yoga every night before bed
Sean Mulholland he did when he was at his worst, nice thing is though that when you get to a certain point you don’t need to stretch as often so you can focus more on things you enjoy! 😄
He used to when he was very tight. Now i think its not as long.
Hi! :) Just discovered your channel and I must say, really enjoy your videos. You could try out 30 days of intermittent fasting and see how it affects your body etc :)

Check him out, he’s crazy
I heard somewhere it’s not how old you are, it’s how flexible you are.
You need some batteries for that clock 🕰
Does this increase height ?
Vaideswaran A improved posture will make you appear taller but unfortunately there is no way to increase someone’s height
Not in Toorak anymore... NSW and in the Middle East
