My bro dressed up for Galeforce, you love to see it! 😁 As someone who primarily Galeforced for most of AR's lifetime, it's so easy now with all these Special CD weapons, Null Guard & Pulsers like Askr, Gerik, Duo Chrom etc. that it completely removes any annoying element of meeting Heavy/Flashing Blade checks.
I've been procrastinating for literal years about going all in on a few galeforce teams, and this video honestly might be the push I've been waiting for to finally go out there and do it. Great stuff Joel, love this kind of edutainment content, would love to see others like it in the future!
Thanks for this! I have always loved enemy phasing, but now that just doesn’t work right now so I have been wanting to try building galeforce teams in AR-O. So these tips help a lot!
I really liked this video and hope you do more like it. I think you're the best FEH content creator when it comes to conveying concepts for the masses, and one of the few that actually does that, which is why I'll leave you with this constructive criticism: While you did talk about different initiators, I think it would have been more beneficial to the common folk if you had taken some time to explain why it is so important to HAVE those different team options all at hand, not picking just one, so people could tackle the different types of defense they would find in a single week. I don't think that dwelling so much on +10 teams added a lot and that time could have been put where I just mentioned, which I believe is a very important concept in Galeforce in particular, but in AR in general.
always appreciate constructive criticism! that was something DTM was talking to me about as well. in particular, he wanted more time spent at the 0 - 2,000 orb level. Showing the different counters for different threats would've been a nice addition as well. early concepts are always a little rough. i'll definitely take a look what the message is going forward. thank you!
I've written a Word document for a fodder chain after the introduction of the 5 slots for all my Rearmed and attuned heroes, basically to get a lot of premium skills on a lot of them, Wings of Mercy 4 will be my most copied skill. Also, it took probably a little over 6 hours to figure it all out and I had to slightly rewrite it when the announcement came that these heroes can get the X-skills and rearmed weapons from eachother.. It's very much worth it, I only need a spare Mythic Gullveig and I am waiting if some other fodder potentially comes around in a different way.
the most stressful thing for me was actually doing the fodder. i was so worried that i'd get something out of order. that stuff is valuable and hard to get! i wish you luck when you finally pull the trigger.
@@FEHThank you! I had not thought about that yet but there are some very tricky parts yes. I sort of noted down which units I would want to build and then you realize that a lot of these units want very different kind of skills. There are mages that would want Atk/Spd, but neither Sonya nor Ophelia really cares too much about those. In the end, Sonya will get Pledge and Finish 1-4 from Alear. And sometimes there are still 3 other skills you want to inhirit from units but you have to make a choice. The most tricky thing for me is where Sonya will give out Atk/Spd Finish 1 to Attuned Nino, so Nino can inhirit 2-4 from Ascended Fir+ the other tier 4 skills. Then Nino will give Atk/Spd Finish 4 to Alcryst, but for that I will have to sacrifice one Young Rebecca, but I won't have to upgrade the 4 sstar version as she'll give out Null-Follow 1-3 for the Physical Null-Follow Up later and Atk/Spd Finish 1-2 from him. And Alcryst in turn will receive Atk/Spd Finish 3 specifically from Sonya just so he can get the tier 4 skill from Nino (with all the other valuable infantry fodder of course including the X-skill) And that whole trick saves me a Young Rebecca of which I have barely any anyway and it saves me 20000 feathers.
Can't help but notice all the Falcom songs in the background. Mad respect for that, gained a new sub just because of the songs utilized! Looking forward to more FEH content.
they's so freagin good!!!! the fact that they let you use their music as long as you give them credit just makes them even better. thank you for the sub!
I did a lot of Galeforce in the heyday of S!Edel. I'm thinking of doing it again with W!Edelgard, but I'm having too much fun right now with W!Dimitry vantage tanking!
I exclusively use galeforce comps but ever since NY Seior came out, I just use her, V.Leo and W.Edelgard and it won ever battle so far. Havent encountered a defence with a near save capable of stopping Edelgard yet.
Funny enough, with the new Formor... I mean Duo Lyon, you can make a galeforce team with no galeforcers. By using him (as the initiator) along with Seidr and Duo Seidr you can easily lock down the entire enemy team and better yet if the enemy team seems to hard to galeforce you can very easily swap to a hit and run lockdown stratey where by locking dancers and cavs and only letting out of reach opponents move. All of this is without considering Lyon's Duo skill which tbh, is just an auto win.
I personally use W!Edelgard and F!Edelgard together. It's pretty overkill since you get 6 actions on those two units alone but it's very fun. B!Chrom and F!Chrom are honestly imo some of the most OP galeforce units, the ability to position your units for attacking or taking them out of danger without wasting an action is insane.
I'm the idiot who enemy phases these days in Aether raids... Which is weird since Awakening is my favorite game where I galeforced like a madman. I guess I just really want a female Robin who can galeforce as good as she did in Awakening... maybe her Brave will finally rectify this.
Really cool video! Thanks, Joel. One thing you can add about the appeal of galeforce teams is that the investments that you make for that strategy can also be useful if you are running hit-and-run teams. For example, that L!Leif would be strong in that strategy. And if you can execute multiple strategies, you don't need to invest nearly as much on any one specific team.
This is a great one! There a lot of focus in the content arround newer units, but much less on team teamplates/archetypes, how they evolve with new metas and skills and how the new unit play with and against those archetypes. I find it is also the most interactive because for newer Units/builds you either have them or not, but teams are much more scalable and can be splashed with favorites and can help us have a guideline into how to best use our units/fodder. Definitely a worth watch!
This was a really great video, streamlining the use cases / accessibility of each team. As a big advocate of Foul Play + Edel, I’ll always support more players at least trying Galeforce strategies!
Very helpful video! That must have taken a long time I've only started galeforcing consistently recently (since brave Gullveig in the summer). There are several things I've learned: 1) it can be tricky to make a high scoring (and good) galeforce team if 4 of your slots are used up by e.g. Eir, Dagr, Mila, and a bonus unit. Then you get 1 dancer and the initiator. I really wish I'd built Peony and Askr. (My merged astra units are great, though. Seidr is dumb good) 2) You need a couple of different team options. Otherwise, you'll get hard countered semi-regularly. Like, BEdelgard might counter your melee galeforce, but it's easy if you also have an aoe Gullveig team. 3) 3 action units (read: Edelgards) make life soooooo much easier. I need to get around to putting WoM4 on my Edelgard.
My favorite Galforce team is easily either AOE B! Gullveig + Chrom and or B! Gullveig + W! Cordillia! I use B! in both seasons (just like DTM 😂) and dude she’s the most fun I ever had galforcing in my lifetime! In both seasons B! Gullveig galforce team has a 100% win rate as of right now (had a clutch close call last light season which was fun) I used to almost never use Galforce back in the day (1.5 years ago when I started Feh) cuz I didn’t have the tools or confidence. Then Brave Gullveig came out + DTM inspiring me and now I use Galforce ALOT! She’s also my primary hit and run go to paired up with Duo Chrom in mythic season and R! Plumeria + Tea Time Lysithea! I’m so grateful that my most favorite character in all of media that I relate with on a deep level and has even made me cry many times is ALSO MY FAVORITE CHARACTER TO USE IN AR! Forgot to mention that EMBLEM MARTH makes AOE Gullveig even stronger cuz you can initiate on turn 2 now if you have duo chrom! Bonus: I might as well mention my favorite tanks which are Duo Ymir with special Spiral 4 which absolutely destroys Cav lines AND desert Altina who hard counters my mythic season base but no one has used her yet thankfully 😅
This was insanely well done and educational for the community. Thank you so much for making this video it was magnum opus level and I know you will somehow outdo yourself. Galeforce is super fun and takes time to master but once you get the ball rolling it’s impossible to stop trying to galeforce thru your problems
This was such a fantastic vid! I galeforce (w/WoM) about 99% of my VoH matches, and I completely agree with everything you said. I pay for FEH pass, and rarely anything else, and galeforce works like a charm. As you said, you can start free/cheap & upgrade as you go, which is what I've...kind of been doing. (Tbh I rarely even upgrade bc I'm a hoarder and I've realized I actually don't need to upgrade because my old kits still work 😆) As you say, the more expensive upgrades (WoM4, IP4, flash/flared sprarrow) would certainly make it easier, but I kind of enjoy the challenge of using the most minimal kits & outdated heroes to beat the most whaled out teams. I don't even have dragonflowers on most of my heroes--I'm such a hoarder 🤣 I also agree about Gerik! Since I saw his refine notes, I was a huge fan, and have been using him in most of my teams--one of my fav units! Thanks for the fantastic and fun vid!
I've never been a fan of pure galeforce, like 1 turn WoM destruction, but safety fence makes it so much more reliable and so much easier even with a cheap squad. Then theres w!edelgard who can singlehandedly wipe 6 of the 7 units on most teams and then you have 4 other units to reach and kill the last one. I think for me the part that put me off the most was the fact you need one slot already devoted to a bonus, some of which just can't be used for galeforce at all or at least need lots of inheritance, and you need some mythics which for me means sacrificing the extra score of some of my merged mythics like eir in favour of ones that support galeforce like askr.
This video was truly instructive, helping a lot of people with what seems, from the outside, as one of the hardest strategies to master. One thing I didn't specially like is the focus you put on telling us the amount specific of orbs for every single scenario. Like yeah, every hero is around 100-150 orbs, as well as pulling for fodder, we already know that. It is, of course, a nice fun fact, but there is really no point at all in making the value of the team increase by a 1000 ORBS just because you want your Triandra or Peony at +10. Of course those helps, but a +1 good IV Triandra is going to perform in 99% of cases the same as a +10 Triandra cause Omni+3~ isn't just worth it for 1000 orbs so it really makes the cost of orbs kind of irrelevant. And the same goes to Peony which we already know, 150 orbs = +1 lift in AR, yeah, but the value of the team doesn't change at all, so it's weird to see how merges on supports that serve little to no purpose in combat increase the value of teams by 1000-3000+ orbs Besides that, this guide was super useful and would LOVE to see more of these in the future, really! ❤
Oh and by the way, I've been using a hybrid Galeforce team with Duo Lyon spending one of the actions on breaking the duo hindrance, and I think that unit is being severely underrated on AR-O, Winter Edelgard + WoM Lyon sweep entire teams so so easily
Every once in a while I'll create a galeforce team I'm proud of, but as soon as I have to change the team I just let go of the galeforce strategy for a while 😅 Great video Joel!
Really like that you're going over a lot of different playstyles because galeforce is a wide spectrum and there are a lot of ways to approach the strat, this is such a rich and rewarding playstyle ! Also I'm super glad you're showing what Seidr can do bc killing one unit and freezing 3 is so insane I love this unit so much haha ! But I'm kinda sad you didn't include B!Marianne, NY!Kvasir. Also I'm afraid the orb cost ranking could scare new players when really merges don't matter (except mythics but that's for every strat anyway and not really part of the teambuilding) and more importantly you often need some key skills to enable the strat BUT then the rest is extra QOL and so I think this way of ranking according to orb cost can be confusing for some. For example for the last team you can go with +0 Edel with Fury 4 and Special Spirale 4 and then have a totally F2P rest of the squad it'll 100% do the job ! Anyway, nice video !
funny story. the video originally had the orbs converted to dollars. the whole idea was looking at what money actually got you in the game with the conclusion being: it's neat but not necessary. i ran an early concept by folks and it was universally HATED. the orbs were a pivot, but i might look at taking them out altogether if i move forward for the reasons you were talking about. it puts the focus in a weird spot. thanks for the feedback!
Yeah it's really about how it shifts the focus but I totally agree on the in game analysis and on the message of the vid ! Glad my input was useful, keep up the good work 👍
As soon as Joel got to legendary Leif and I saw the team comp and merges, my brain started working overtime. I literally +10'd Lief and Chrom and have Lucina and Gerik at +4 and +7, respectively. I think I need a break and some arena tickets
Loved loved loved the video. I miss doing galeforce so much, this has made me want to come back. Aaaaaannd, looking at my barracks, I just realised I have 2 copies of Nils, which means I can get skills with one of them, use sp, inherit skills and blablabla, and the I can merge and have him be lvl1 still. And he even has infantry pulse. Ohhhh boy I'm excited.
Good video, I'd definitely watch more of this. Myself I've been using Galeforce in Light season for about a month now, and it's really fun. My team consists of Mythic Askr, Mythic Peony, W!Edelgard, NY!Seidr and W!Cordelia, free space is for a bonus unit (right now Mythic Lumera, ideally I use Attuned Triandra when one of the core units is bonus, but even Askr trio is fine in the slot). It just all sorta came together lately, been planning to craft a Galeforce team for a minute and the past few months have been a godsend for me. W!Edelgard is the best initiator and a direct upgrade to the unit I had ready for Galeforce prior, S!Edelgard. NY!Seidr makes pot collecting and action economy significantly easier to manage by locking enemies for another round, I've been patiently waiting for this NY alt ever since the Mythic first dropped and it paid off big time. I finally managed to pull an Askr on the L!Camilla banner after trying so hard to get him since his release, scoring is rough due to no merges but I'll work on it. Emblem Marth in tandem with Quickened Pulse allows both my Askr and W!Cordelia to do 1-tap Galeforce so long as Special cooldown charge +1 goes off. And finally a few months prior I also fed my Peony a lot of skills through R!Plumeria, and her having WoM4 and Guidance 4 helps A LOT, more than some people would think. Hopefully Attuned Peony wins AHR, I have all the nice stuff on her now after some fodder chaining and I can use her to further kit out my entire team with WoM4 and more if I just get more merges.
I'm in the f2p style now just knowing that there's a chance a free w edel or l camillia might be coming to boost teams really helps. This guide though is useful.
I galeforce so as long as B!Marianne remains relevant, and I'd still find different approaches using her even with the increase of anti-warp technology.
Joel is the kind of giga-chad bartender who share galeforce strategies to people who are trying to tank their problems in life but cant do it due to amount of piercing, debuffs and shenanigans it has. Problematic player: I can't handle all the negative stuff life is throwing at me. Mister Joel: No worries, try player phase strategies. They'll never see it coming! 😅🤣😂
I actually would love more GAleforce based videos. I've been lurking on the feh reddit recently (which might've been my first mistake), and people won't stop complaining about nukes like Sanaki, meanwhile, I'm here having a blast just destroying cavlines with Gullveig, and the only reason I can think people are not doing Galeforce when is the obvious choice, is probably because they don't even know where to start. Also, I found it funny you made almost an identical build to my Velouria, the only difference is I gave her C Duel 4 to get her HP high enough for infantry pulse 4 to work with even high merged units.
I don't enjoy player phase strategies, so my experience with Galeforce is none existent (and will stay like that for the forseable future). However, this kind of resources are always nice to watch. If you keep up with it, I'd like you to consider Vantage for the next one.
I probably get banned into shadow real, but to answer the question at the beginning of the video: I have never used Galeforce in AR, so it’s a plain 0 times. X)
Joel, what do you think of using Thorr as a Galeforce initiator using Fury 7 and Flow Desperation? After two combats she will be in WoM3 range. She's in Desperation range (
I use GF all the time, and this Light season is atrocious. I cannot get past the W!Byleths, my Selom team fell off hard so I think I'm gonna use my W!Edel for both light and astra seasons now
That merging part is a big issue to me and I don't like it almost every single time I try to summon for merges its in vain...and IS keep creating newer and newer units that other people succeed to get them and than I try to play with what I have and its just harder to win and scoring higher obviously forces me to have +10 full team or half but I obviously only have +10 some of the grail units that I was successfully able to build a good playable kit....which are only summer male Shez and Cornelia because Shez is just busted broken insane F2P unit and Cornelia is a F2P strong healer but also I don't really enjoy using Edelgard when Dimitri is the reason I even play this weird and not so fun game...if he would not be here I would not be here SIMPLE as that
My bro dressed up for Galeforce, you love to see it! 😁
As someone who primarily Galeforced for most of AR's lifetime, it's so easy now with all these Special CD weapons, Null Guard & Pulsers like Askr, Gerik, Duo Chrom etc. that it completely removes any annoying element of meeting Heavy/Flashing Blade checks.
i should've included your classic B!Alm clears. the first time i saw that, i couldn't believe how clever it was.
Tbh I use W Edelgard and S Edelgard together and clear a majority of maps. Edelgard is simply one of the best galeforce investments.
Agreed and if that isnt enough I bring in L Edel lol
after this video, i think the edelgards are one of the best investments in the entire game. they have a lot of staying power with the extra actions.
Agreed Edelgard is powerful as the Rockafellas was wit wealth only she hits like a freight train 🚉 💯👍🏾

always appreciate constructive criticism! that was something DTM was talking to me about as well. in particular, he wanted more time spent at the 0 - 2,000 orb level.
Showing the different counters for different threats would've been a nice addition as well. early concepts are always a little rough. i'll definitely take a look what the message is going forward.
thank you!

And the same goes to Peony which we already know, 150 orbs = +1 lift in AR, yeah, but the value of the team doesn't change at all, so it's weird to see how merges on supports that serve little to no purpose in combat increase the value of teams by 1000-3000+ orbs
Besides that, this guide was super useful and would LOVE to see more of these in the future, really! ❤
Oh and by the way, I've been using a hybrid Galeforce team with Duo Lyon spending one of the actions on breaking the duo hindrance, and I think that unit is being severely underrated on AR-O, Winter Edelgard + WoM Lyon sweep entire teams so so easily
No exaggeration, I use galeforce 100% of the time in AR O
Same
with the tools we have right now, it's a fantastic way to go.
Every once in a while I'll create a galeforce team I'm proud of, but as soon as I have to change the team I just let go of the galeforce strategy for a while 😅 Great video Joel!
i hope you get to create more now. they're really a lot of fun with all the new toys they've given us.
I think I need a break and some arena tickets
a friend told me about that leif and i didn't believe him. then i started playing with the team...
enjoy the build 😁
Loved loved loved the video. I miss doing galeforce so much, this has made me want to come back. Aaaaaannd, looking at my barracks, I just realised I have 2 copies of Nils, which means I can get skills with one of them, use sp, inherit skills and blablabla, and the I can merge and have him be lvl1 still. And he even has infantry pulse. Ohhhh boy I'm excited.
Oh wait, how is he going to infantry pulse if he is lvl 1, with what hp lol
the team construction phase has begun! you'll get it figured out. it's fun to watch the pieces come together.
Hopefully Attuned Peony wins AHR, I have all the nice stuff on her now after some fodder chaining and I can use her to further kit out my entire team with WoM4 and more if I just get more merges.
i love this kind of stuff with the orb counts and team builds
Galeforce is my go to if I feel like trying to be competitive.
mans doesn't even recognize the absolute glow up brave marriane has had as of late
she's amazing! i just ran out of time. i probably could've strung this video into 2 hours with all the different teams and info about galeforce.
@@FEH Entirely fair, I just thought it was a weird omission considering how recently her refine made her go from debatable zero to absolute hero
Very useful video thank you
I'm in the f2p style now just knowing that there's a chance a free w edel or l camillia might be coming to boost teams really helps. This guide though is useful.
Between the thumbnail, information, and the neat edits, this was a really good video.
thank you! there's so much work that goes into. they're a lot of fun.
I galeforce so as long as B!Marianne remains relevant, and I'd still find different approaches using her even with the increase of anti-warp technology.
she got such a good refine for this. i wish i could've fit a team with her in there, but i ran out of time.
Honestly my favorite video of yours ever
This was an awesome video!
thank you so much! i had a lot of fun piecing it all together. plus, i now have an excuse to use Sharena is AR. 😄
I don't enjoy player phase strategies, so my experience with Galeforce is none existent (and will stay like that for the forseable future). However, this kind of resources are always nice to watch. If you keep up with it, I'd like you to consider Vantage for the next one.
god, i love vantage. that's another strategy that's really gained momentum in the last couple of months. i'll definitely look at it.
Galeforce/ galeforce+hnr are the best strats nowadays
they're so much fun with the current toys!
She's in Desperation range (
I have kind of that Velouria. Pretty close. Inf. Pulse 4 would be amazing though.
Holy mother of thumbnail
i gotta keep you folks on your toes. 😁
Is there any unit I could use in the Gullveig team instead of Velouria?
The new bridal Embla is fantastic in that role and honestly better than Velouria
Basically 100% of the time.
you're a wise summoner. it's the age of galeforce right now.
I use GF all the time, and this Light season is atrocious. I cannot get past the W!Byleths, my Selom team fell off hard so I think I'm gonna use my W!Edel for both light and astra seasons now
wait you're cheating with that W!Edel part, you use her in bonus season ofc she's going to clear hex traps easily xdd
wait I'm confused how do you ever get 70 HP with a boon? That's 49 + 15 from mythics (or 50 if you used DF)
Rizzology
The discord created that emote 🤦
Tbh, I never use Galeforce because it defeats the purpose of the game to me. Which is to hear my fav SCREAM THEIR SPECIAL QUOTES! Lol
Me watching this with my 3 orbs
... how do i get galeforce hehe I haven't played in like 5 years. I just got back because of Eikþyrnir and I want to make him strong lol
Can someone please tell me what build he is using Askr tro
That merging part is a big issue to me and I don't like it almost every single time I try to summon for merges its in vain...and IS keep creating newer and newer units that other people succeed to get them and than I try to play with what I have and its just harder to win and scoring higher obviously forces me to have +10 full team or half but I obviously only have +10 some of the grail units that I was successfully able to build a good playable kit....which are only summer male Shez and Cornelia because Shez is just busted broken insane F2P unit and Cornelia is a F2P strong healer but also I don't really enjoy using Edelgard when Dimitri is the reason I even play this weird and not so fun game...if he would not be here I would not be here SIMPLE as that
🤔
