I’m learning so much from you. Also from other subscribers. This is more at my pace, I’m an absolute beginner.
What’s so important is to see you make a mistake or two, because when you correct it, it shows me how to make corrections and hopefully what to do and what not to do.
    Thanks so much.

Sort of defines "happy accident". If I could make space for a Fantom I might add one to my rig but alas, I am already surrounded by synths and controllers in the corner of my office/studio. Love your spacious setup. As a G.A.S. victim I am faced with selling or packing a synth I love to add a new one. So happy to have found your channel. As a senior hobby studio player, I count on YT for my music and instrument education. I find your presentations among the best out there.

Glad it helped you, another viewer shared an easier way using the control pads which I thought was really cool.

Can I use wav file for pattern?

@@gabrieldinca7625 I’m going to say no, with one exception - you might be able to sample a portion of it (your rhythm) and then use the sample internally and trigger it with a pad, but that might have trouble syncing up in the midi section. Hope that makes sense. Keep checking on that, I could be wrong 😉

Isn't there an easier way like using the pads on the far right to trigger your rythm patterns ? I think at one time I pushed some buttons by accident and I could use those pads to trigger rythm patterns. Will try to see if I can figure it back out. Neat trick though. I've been trying to TR-Rec in the different parts of my rythm using the TR-Rec sequencer. Also there might be a setting which makes sure you can push the pattern and itwill only start once the previous one finishes playing. I know I had a lot of troubles with that in the patter sequencer, where it immediately started playing B3 while I only wanted it to play B3 when B2 was finished. Also you can use the sequencer to record note by note, works well for drums too, although I kinda like the TR-Rec for that.

Yes, I discovered that little trick a week or two after I put this video up - someone earlier showed me how to do it. Too bad Roland doesn’t help folks out a little more with that lol!

Hi if you put the pads into mode to rhythm which will control the switching of the rhythm so don't have to switch as in your video

Thanks for the "Rhythm Mode on Pads" tip Chris, it worked like a charm! All these things we have to learn as we go along - it's crazy!

Not sure exactly, without seeing what you’re doing - what could be giving you trouble on the Fantom, check to make sure you’re on Channel 10 when trying to record the built in rhythm tracks also double check the rhythm track volume - make sure you’re starting at the same spot in the track too (same measure etc.) hope this helps. Hang in there, I know it can be frustrating 🤯
