Good video, but the Fantom should allow multiple arpeggios to be played at the same time and be different arpeggios for each track, like the Kronos, the Montage, the Jupiter xm etc. also some of the other workstations have 1000s of arpeggios...
True! That was the deal-breaker for me here. With the Kronos & Montage, you could use their arpeggiators to turn your keys into an arranger & create a full-band backup that follows your left-hand chord changes on the fly. Could not do that with Fantom, as you have to first pre-record all parts into a sequence. With that high price tag, it's another disappointing near-miss by Roland.
Also Kross 2 does this better. You can select up to two arpeggiator types and they will play simoultaneosly on the track they are assigned to, while playing real time. Then if you want you can record everything multitracks on separate channels. Kross costs three times less than Fantom.

would be mega cool if arpeggios could conform harmonically ( like patterns and phrases in MIDI arrangers do ) to whatever chord memory is being played

Hi Ed, a very good demo on how to use the fantom! :-) I'm looking forward to receive my Fantom 6 :-) The only thing that I'm a bit concerned about is the ability to process vocal input, eg. adding effects on top of the vocal, sampling it, and mapping clips to the pad keys. Could you make such a demo video also? Best Regards Thomas

Very disappointed that there is no option to create user arpeggios or custom arpeggios. The baby Roland FA07 has the option and you demonstrated it in one of your FA series training video. Fantom 7 is twice in price and the custom arpeggios is a must. Please add the option in the next Fantom update I feel robbed after spending close to 4 grand on Fantom 7. I am using Ableton live for custom arpeggios, and Roland zencore vst. Sometimes I feel Fantom is waste of money as zencore vst has almost all the sounds and Roland cloud subscription has so much for $20 a month make Fantom a bad choice, specially not having the ability to create user arpeggios:)
Agreed, and the money sent is a gateway entry fee without a promise to send you quarterly gifts or promotions
