Hey Jude, you can collect and dry your pine cones and use a few at a time along with your kindling to light your fire,and a few at a time can also be used on a fire if it’s burned down to much before you put a log on! So lovely to see your beautiful cat who will love sitting round the fire with you 😊
That’s how I felt while I was still working. It was nice to go home to a living being who was happy to see me. My cats were wonderful, loving companions.❤️

You can cover that roof with a big blue poly tarp (blue in the US) if it continues to be a problem. Nail it down on the sides of the shed. It’ll save your sheds contents.
I folded thin lengths of ply under the edges of the tarp when I did this and then hammered into them - stopped the wind from ripping the tarp off the nails :)
How exciting Jude. He should be a big help, putting on his big kitty pants, and tackling all those scary birds, leaves and mice that jump out at you. 👋🇨🇦
You could always cover the roof with a sheet of tarpaulin and batten it down so the wind can't get under it and rip it off. That way your shed can stay dry inside until spring

Ahh, no a cat was always in the plan! The old door didn’t lock though and Sven needs to stay inside for a couple of weeks before I let him out! (He’s currently still under the sofa most of the time, bless him!)

Oh, my 87 1/2 yr old mum just adopted a 13 yr old beautiful ginger cat named Henry who was going to be put to sleep. He is the most loving and smoochy boy and purrs like mad. Mum also already has a dog so I’m sure that they’ll be great mates. I’m so pleased for you, having a pet means that you never feel alone. I even discuss what to wear with my 2 girl doggies and what our plans are for the day in the garden. They are just the best company ever and the love. (especially from a dog) is totally unconditional! ♥️ and are wonderful company

I went to Fort William two years ago in a March and it was magical with all the snow, Scotland has always reminded me of Canada (I was raised in Canada from ages 10-15) It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world

You could always tarp the whole roof until spring when you are able to replace the roof, tarps are fairly inexpensive and it will save your tools and appliances from getting damaged.

Scenery is absolutely beautiful. I just bought 6 ea 50lb bales of straw to make a shelter for the 3 feral cats I feed everyday. Now I'm laying down after lifting them out of my truck. I'm not a Spring chicken anymore.

Congrats on your new family member! You might want to consider buying a plug-in heated cat bed for him. They are fantastic for winter months, and cheap to run too. Our cats LOVE ours for heating their weary old paws when it's cold. 'Self heating' cat beds are ok, but nothing can beat an electric cat bed. They quite inexpensive on Amazon atm. Your cat will thank you! 🥰
Sven is gorgeous. And I read somewhere that the more affectionate you are with a cat, the more affectionate they’ll become, if they weren’t from the start. Worked for me and my cats. I hope that you have many happy years together. ❤️🇨🇦

I cried when I saw the cat carrier. I lost my lovely Burmese Albert who was sixteen a few weeks ago. I have had cats since I was ten and am now 85. Rescues and several Burmese. Sadly I cant have another cat as I am not nimble these days and cats do get under and round feet!! He is a beauty and he certainly seems to be settled down to a wonderful life. Ginger cats are the best. They can be stupid but make loyal companions. In order for him to settle in quicker, you can buy plug in hormone things abit like an air freshener which will make him relaxed in a day or two. Keep warm Jude and enjoy having your new furry friend.
You're doing amazing Jude, be so proud! 😊 When you do your chicken run use welded mesh not chicken wire, chicken wire is to keep them off things, it's not strong enough to keep your girls safe. I have my run on slabs to stop animals digging in too x
Yes!! I’d heard that about chicken wire - I’m going to use a strong welded hardware cloth mesh I think! (I spent a lot of time this week, under a blanket, planning my chicken coop project!)
You've got a great breed of cat there. Our's lived to be 15 and a half and just passed away last week. They're so soft and cuddly. They like to give you hugs by rubbing on your legs. Ours enjoyed being scratched under his ears. ❤
I am sitting here with my rescue cat who was sitting under the bed for quite a while after bringing them home - now sleeping on my lap and being the cuddliest angel. I wish you a lot of cuddles as well!

You could always tarp the whole roof until spring when you are able to replace the roof, tarps are fairly inexpensive and it will save your tools and appliances from getting damaged.

Scenery is absolutely beautiful. I just bought 6 ea 50lb bales of straw to make a shelter for the 3 feral cats I feed everyday. Now I'm laying down after lifting them out of my truck. I'm not a Spring chicken anymore.

Congrats on your new family member! You might want to consider buying a plug-in heated cat bed for him. They are fantastic for winter months, and cheap to run too. Our cats LOVE ours for heating their weary old paws when it's cold. 'Self heating' cat beds are ok, but nothing can beat an electric cat bed. They quite inexpensive on Amazon atm. Your cat will thank you! 🥰
Sven is gorgeous. And I read somewhere that the more affectionate you are with a cat, the more affectionate they’ll become, if they weren’t from the start. Worked for me and my cats. I hope that you have many happy years together. ❤️🇨🇦

I cried when I saw the cat carrier. I lost my lovely Burmese Albert who was sixteen a few weeks ago. I have had cats since I was ten and am now 85. Rescues and several Burmese. Sadly I cant have another cat as I am not nimble these days and cats do get under and round feet!! He is a beauty and he certainly seems to be settled down to a wonderful life. Ahh welcome aboard! Thank you - I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos so far! Sven is going to be an excellent companion - he’s still spending about 90% of his time under the sofa, but he’s currently doing a great job of sitting on my feet and keeping them warm!

Ginger cats are the best. They can be stupid but make loyal companions. In order for him to settle in quicker, you can buy plug in hormone things abit like an air freshener which will make him relaxed in a day or two. Keep warm Jude and enjoy having your new furry friend.

You're doing amazing Jude, be so proud! 😊 When you do your chicken run use welded mesh not chicken wire, chicken wire is to keep them off things, it's not strong enough to keep your girls safe. I have my run on slabs to stop animals digging in too x
Yes!! I’d heard that about chicken wire - I’m going to use a strong welded hardware cloth mesh I think! (I spent a lot of time this week, under a blanket, planning my chicken coop project!)
You've got a great breed of cat there. Our's lived to be 15 and a half and just passed away last week. They're so soft and cuddly. They like to give you hugs by rubbing on your legs. Ours enjoyed being scratched under his ears. ❤

I am sitting here with my rescue cat who was sitting under the bed for quite a while after bringing them home - now sleeping on my lap and being the cuddliest angel. I wish you a lot of cuddles as well!
