Had to revisit the video that helped seal the deal on this bike vs all the rest on my list and I couldn’t be happier with my lightly used 2017 GSX-S1000!! The bike is now brilliant w these mods I’ve done: Put on some 20 mil risers, heavier bar ends to help w vibes, flashed ecu, Puig screen, 190/55 rear w/+1 tooth rear sprocket, lowered the forks in the triples 1-2 mm (which raised the front to work w the higher profile rear tire which I liked as this made the bike slightly taller front and rear) modded the seat for all day comfort, added some crash protection, had the suspension professionally set up for my weight and she’s good for me! No on off throttle issues were ever present before and definitely not after ecu flash. There are some vibes after 6-7k but it’s not a problem, you don’t stay in the vibe range while riding. There was some noticeable acceleration head shake at high speeds prior to suspension set up and risers but it has since gotten much better, almost completely eliminated by those mods. Fuel consumption is great...acceleration is fierce, handling is light and superb in the twisties. It’s got plenty of power and the look/sound of the stock exhaust has me very content so I’m in no hurry to put on a pipe like I would normally be. Bottom line: I just love the thing!!! Thank you for all you do to help us sort through so many good choices these days LCR!
I rode one this morning, before seeing any reviews on the bike, at a dealer open day. I only rode it as I thought it looked really nice in blue and not because I was particularly interested in it as a serious purchase. But after riding it, I couldn't find a single thing I disliked and couldn't find a single reason not to buy one. It's a winner.
I just had the gray 2016 gsx s1000 delivered to the house. The dealer put on a carbon Yoshimura slip on, and a fender eliminate kit. The total cost 9,700.00 vs the BMW at 17,500. Hi Blaby Biker, I have recently got a new gsx s1000 (19 reg) and I am struggling with the snatchy throttle response, I have sort of got used to it but it still catches me out now and again which is a bit worrying. Do you think if I had a power commander fitted it would help solve the throttle response. I would be grateful for any help you may be have to give me.

+MrMentalackack Hello, What do you think about your new Suzuki GSX-S1000. I am thinking about selling my Daytona 675R and getting one as well (or maybe faired version F). Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Just subscribed after watching this review. I want one now, please, Dad. I'm a sucker for twin engines but you just sold me a four. Brilliant proper road test, I'm looking forward to watching some others now. So much better than the track hounds who just compared the gsx to a MotoGP bike, saying it was a bit soft and 'cheap'.
Great review. Picked up a gen 2 zzr1400 a few months back. Absolutely love it and it's a total missile. However, a little voice in the back of my head keeps telling me that I need a naked hooligan machine and I think you've sold me on one of these. Although I'll be going for a 2017. Apparently Suzuki sorted the sloppy throttle out for that year. Anyway, keep up the great work.
What went wrong with the throttle? Constant speed and jerky throttle do not make mine feel in the least bit refined. It has some great points but the bad certainty taint the drink
Great review, it was refreshing to hear from an experienced rider rather than the usual foolish street racers on here who only care about noise and speed.
2019 Gsxs 750z here,,Yoshi alpha T,BMC air cleaner ,,,waiting on Woolich flash/Dyno..Loving it ..my 18 HD stage 1 is no slouch with 80 bhp and 79 lb/ torque which pulls a 170 ks/106 mph in third gear but Suzuki takes the fun factor to a whole new level and ten grand cheaper. Keeping both tho,,lol.
This review is simply spot on! Your impressions were a big influence on my purchase. I rode the Z900 first, and it was a fine bike, but when I took this baby out?? OHHHHHH SHIT!! I knew instantly which bike it was going to be. One thing I disagree with you on though is while this bike is very comfortable, it is a bit hard on my "General and two Colonels." I've got some cycling shorts with a pad in them and that helps, but I also plan on making a foam insert I can put in my pants.
I have a GSXR1000 K7 and a little precious about taking it out in crapish weather so have bought a GSXS1000 so I can relax on days when it can rain etc. Nothing puts a smile on my face like the K7 but the GSXS is such an easy fun powerful bike to ride. It’s hideous looking head on but I don’t care, it’s a great bike to ride and better for whizzing around traffic. Have a screen coming and will throw some saddle bags over it and I’ll be good for a bit of a trip. Mine has a PC5 on it and I don’t notice any snatching, just lots of power on tap when you want it. I bought the blue one but the matte grey one is better looking imo. I’ve been riding an MT07 as the other bike and it’s a great bike but once you’ve tasted the power of a litre bike, anything smaller just feels a little hard work…. Anyhoo, if you’re thinking of buying the GSXS1000, go for it. If you’re concerned about the snatch throttle just get a PC5 and it cures it..
Thanks Flibble, Yes mine felt like riding a machine of torture in comparison tbh and without that much more power or handling ability! Just made me think why... Haha
Bob I’m getting ready to get a bike after not having one for 20 years... my last bike was an86 VFR750... do you think this will be a bit much? Should I get the 750? Inquiring minds want to know....
Great bike for the money. Bought a 2016 in grey with 900mls now on 5k no issues, unlike my brother's 765rs. Plenty of low and midrange shove which is where you spend most of the time. Comfy can easily do a tank 150+ miles before getting off. Sounds fantastic haven't felt the need to change the stock system. Throttle is sensitive even with a power commander but you get used to it.
I had several, rather large accidents watching this, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Hopefully this shuts up all the bastards calling it a dreary old Bandit! Thumbs up to you sir! :)
Looks like you had fun! Good review, and I agree with you about the rider aids, and electrical gubins. For your average joe (or lamb chop) a bike like the GSXS 1000 (or similar) is brilliant, and above and beyond that which you need. And so anything more is just willy waggling.
Good review especially on the price point, prices on bikes can be hard to deal with. Suzuki wants to sell units & price them to move, you get a good bang for the buck.
Thanks for the review Lamb chop. I have also test ridden this bike, and agree with everything you said. It's a lovely bike to ride, and hopefully own.....soon. :-) The traction control will reset on the move but you have to completely close the throttle, press the reset, change it then press set again. As G.I.B says. :-) Safe riding.
@@LambChopRides ,, Awesome! I have a 2018 Honda CB650F, I really like this bike, it handles great, ok on power, but, after watching your review,, you sold me on the GSXS 1000! Can't wait to watch your revised review! Have fun and thank you for getting me hooked on this bike, my wife really appreciates it!😆
How is the wind blast at speed as I don't recall you mentioning it? Would you recommend a small screen? And what are the luggage options for touring? Great review, definitely have this on the top of my list, I'll be test riding one asap! Cheers.
Well i ended up with 1000z phantom version for 9000 pounds, R11 yosimura (i had no idea Suzuki owned Yoshimura Japan) and tail tidy. I took it out to the ranges and with TC off i lost my license about 10 times, i had to turn TC back on. My god i can recommend the 2018 fully, it made the 765rs i rode the other day look real slow. the brakes are the same as the R and they are awesome and the suspension is adequate. i may have to wind it back a turn or two. Mechanic who rides competitively told me to wait until it was broken in properly. Again 2018 awesome bike for the money. Thanks.
You have finally persuaded me to px my 15 plate GSR750. I loved the 1000 from the first time I saw it. How do you think it will cope touring around Europe? How did you manage to get good sound with the GoPro mounted on the helmet. I've just got from a tour around Europe with the cam mounted in the same place as yours and the wind noise was deafening.
I've got a fz1n 2007 and it's a great bike but I think the gsxs is next for silky affordable reliability, could you do a review of an fz1n for comparison to your naked line up please 👍🏼😎
What does that “Z” stand for? I know the F is faring what’s the Z an app wrench package or better parts what is the difference between the GSXS1000F and GSXS1000FZ!
A real rider will never need any aids but could use them not gonna lie but I’m fine without them I have learned to not smoke the back tire to much and not lock them up anytime. Like my hand knows exactly how much I can pull and at what angle to stop just gotta make sure nobody gets in my space! People will yell “why you slowing down” to which I reply “soon as I see I can clear the old lady In the Buick” rolling slowly into the intersection, I will gun it and go for the gap, but I would rather slow things down, so I ain’t gotta do all that I’m just looking to remove my self from the situation if the people behind me don’t run up my ass by accident! I always make sure I got extra bright tale lights just for this reason! Other then that stuff in town riding is safe as long as you watch for animals and dumb humans🤙🏽
Good afternoon Lamb Chop OK here's the update. I just took the bike out for its maiden voyage it reached a nice 60 degrees today. the bike was beautiful, simply beautiful, although I did not want to risk anything and go crazy on the new tires but my god its a torque machine, and it does bring out the devil in you lol. it's the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. I've been an avid sport bike rider for the past 25 years. I've had ZX6R'S, R1's, GSXR1000. this makes my 7th new bike and I have to say I really like this bike I have nothing bad to say about it, it's a beautiful machine, that you can just doodle around or Crack the throttle and become a mad man..lol
+Go Faster wow cant beat that first ride feelin eh :) It is a very comfortable bike and very natural seems almost effortless doesnt it. Your going to have a fantastic summer!! :-D
+superjoyseph unknown as of yet I was just poodle in around. it was the first ride with new tires and about 50 degrees out. I can say I've been an avid sport bike rider change to this. is got a lot of low end torque, very quick and very very comfortable. I was looking at the BMW but 9700 vs 15000 I choose the Suzuki. More electronics means more can go wrong and WHEN it does that will cost a pant load to fix. The Suzuki is more reliable in opinion. I will keep you informed as I'm taking it out Sunday for a longer ride
Update to my own comment: bought the 2016 GSX-S 1000! Such an awesome bike! I've got about 1300 miles on it so far and I've got ZERO complaints. I picked mine up for 8500 US before tax, fees and all that crap. Also, got 0% for 3 years from Suzuki; couldn't have asked for more!
What would you relate the passenger seat to? Same as a typical sportbike? I love this bike, it is what I have always wished Suzuki would make but now I am married and she likes to go riding with me. I know, I know, she should get her own bike lol.
Can anyone help me please! I have just bought a new GSX S1000 (19 reg) and the snatchy throttle response is doing my head in. I have got used to it a little but it still catches me out now and again which is a bit annoying. If I had a power commander fitted does anyone think it may help to reduce the throttle snatchiness. Any help would be much appreciated!
Did a testride with a Speed Triple today, what a machine! Gotta testride this GSX-S 1000 and make a decision to buy one of these bigger bikes, coming from a CB650R. What do you think, Chops? Which one do you prefere? 🤔
how can you have ride modes and TCS with cable actuated throttle? Most ride by wire bikes have cables. They go to a servo that opens and closes the intake butterflies.
heh thanks for ur review. I must be a nutter cause im trading in my sv650x for 2018 version. I took it for test ride and honestly i did not want to give it back. I was going to buy a 765 rs but after this ride i'm not. Plus being a 2018 model its reduced to $8000 pounds and they are throwing in a yoshimura slip on to boot. Safe riding Lamb chops.
@@cdnbcn6164 Hi, I am considering this bike. I have also SV650 2019 now and I wonder how is the sitting position on gsxs1000 in comparison to SV650 regarding knee angle and weight on the wrists. I am 186cm and I am very happy and comfortable on SV650 but in the near I would like to have a bike with 4 cyl. Thanks for your answer.
I own one. 157PS original. Ecu flashed flaps cut out of Airbox 162PS . The MT10 was mesured with 152PS. The power curve is under that of the Susi everywhere.Maybe the yam transmission ratio is on the short side. Could be the reason for the high fuel consumption.Withe a goog shock and a fork tuning the susi has not to fear any other bike on twisty roads
+Donald Duck yes I also read those comparisons but mt10 certainly feels more grunty.. perhaps it's the crossplain crank characteristics that do that.. I probably could do with trying the gsxs again as was a while ago I rode it..
Donald Duck How is the fuel consuption on MT-10 compared to GSX? I'm struggling to choose between the two bikes. I've ridden the Yam, love it. The engine is so lively. Haven't had the chance to ride the GSX but it does seem like a legit rival to the MT-10. The GSX is just 2.5K cheaper here but don't know if I'll love it as much as the Yamaha.
i'be read a comparision of powernakeds.in this test there's a pic of dynoruns of the bikes.when it comes to power, the susi is stronger and it needs less gas. but if one needs that more power and if the fuel consumption is a reason to buy a bike one does not realy love?you will allways hate yourself for the decision.
If everything goes as planed iam buying a 2015, this spring/summer..... no buying it now since is stil winter in Norway and my storage place is not fixed yet.....
woo hoo like it i want one ...i was just at Honda today and i looked at the new Honda cb 1000r 2015 can you test this next and do a comparison with the Suzuki
Lamb Chop Rides I just tested the suzuki yesterday, gotta say it is a great machine, fantastic pull after about 7k revs. and you shoulda turned off the TC. Wheelies are fun :D however like exuptoy says the triple is a beauty. and in my opinion a more fun and easier to ride bike. The torque increase from the triple engine is awesome! I know you wont be disappointed.
Hi Lamb ! Just reacting to your props about the Speed Triple, I currently own a 2014 model...you really have to try one if you really think that it has less grunt that this Suzuki. Before buying mine, I had a k8 GSX-R 1000 which I found boring for the street..I wanted an excellent chassis and lot of low and midrange torque...I tried the CB1000R, Z1000, FZ1, Tuono v4, BMW S1000R, the Superduke 1290R, and finally this GSX-S1000...and mate I can assure you...NOTHING is more brutal below 7000 rpm than a Speed Triple...except the Superduke 1290r. Actually this GSX-S 1000 is a Z1000 with a better chassis (frame and suspensions), but with a more race oriented engine. Z1000 and the Suzuki are about the same torque but the Z got the max of it at 7300 rpm...the GSX-S at 10'000 rpm. On the road, the FZ1 Yamaha is the one who matches the best the engine character of this Gsx-s 1000...typical 4 cylinder screamer.
Lamb Chop Rides You're welcome, by the way I appreciate your video, very well made :). I forgot to mention, if you are interested into pure torque and a quality frame and suspensions...Speed Triple, Ducati Monster 1200, KTM Superduke 1290r, all the rest is more about high reving engines to get real sensations :) Try them all ! Cheers
You obviously haven't ridden the yamaha MT-09....if you want instant low down grunt .. This is the bike .... Forget all these 1000s.... Throttle response on this bike is staggering!!!!!! in every gear... (Except 6th below 4000 revs).... Before you judge and go on about it being "only" an 850cc.... Ride one... Make sure it's 'run in' first and in A mode ......simply staggering!!!!!
Dragon local got one and put HyperPro front fork springs. Kills the twisties! But my bike is a 16 n I wana know about the new model, can you do the 2019 GSX-S1000 review plz/thx. Great reviews keep them coming
new ECU for 2016 onwards...Suzuki will retro-fit the new ECU for customers who request it. Test rode the faired model with the revised ECU and no throttle issues at all.
What a great video, i have watch'd it twice this week. Im looking in to getting one my self, i was just thinking, does the 1000F have the same seating position? and sry for my bad spelling and grama ;) Cheers I'd love it if you would put a mic near the exaust ;)
Excellent review. Do you like this better than the Yamaha MT-09? I like Suzuki's focus on low-tech. Poor brakes on Suzukis? My B-King's are amazing. I'd like to have seen you ride in the city as some reviewers criticise the GSX there because of the snatchy on-off throttle. Nice helmet, lad.
Hi folks, Just wanted to know a newbie can ride on this, I have seen this S-1000 today, on local Suzuki .Store, Looks Cool ..sales man told me that i will be dead if i go for this one, they suggested me to go for s -750 , My money is tight , so, do not wanna to get another one later soon , looking for something at least 6 to 10 years for to enjoy to ride,& get experience on leader bike like this!... I am not into speeding, just love to ride and enjoy it. I have 6 months of riding experience on CBR 125 r . Just wondering if anyone could let me know about it and any suggestions appreciated .......!!!!!!!!
I just got my 2016. I'll tell you it has a TON of power and the throttle is a bit sensitive. It's really going to come down to what kind of person you are and if you can control your right wrist. It is a real friendly bike to ride and is everything LCR says in this review. You simple cannot go wrong with this bike. Forgot to mention, I've got about 10K miles under my belt, so not much experience really.
when you turn the bike off, then on again the next time, is the traction control setting where you last had it? or does it default to 3 each time you start it?

However, a little voice in the back of my head keeps telling me that I need a naked hooligan machine and I think you've sold me on one of these. Although I'll be going for a 2017. Apparently Suzuki sorted the sloppy throttle out for that year. Anyway, keep up the great work.
suzukis are like fine liquor, distilled to perfection, using old but tried and true methods :)
What went wrong with the throttle? Constant speed and jerky throttle do not make mine feel in the least bit refined.
It has some great points but the bad certainty taint the drink
But occasionally we want an exciting cocktail that stirs the loins.
I don't think I'd look back after getting off this bike
It's not me officer, it's the voices in my bike. They made me do it 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Traction changes only done at any speed BUT at Deceleration , took me a few goes to work out what it was ... Great review.
Great review, it was refreshing to hear from an experienced rider rather than the usual foolish street racers on here who only care about noise and speed.
Thanks Matthew :)
Put a new silencer on it. Get a lithium battery and get a retune / Power Commander to reduce the twitchiness and it's a great bike.
+Xerdoz yes can imagine that transforms the bike!
Who’s watching this in 2019?
2019 Gsxs 750z here,,Yoshi alpha T,BMC air cleaner ,,,waiting on Woolich flash/Dyno..Loving it ..my 18 HD stage 1 is no slouch with 80 bhp and 79 lb/ torque which pulls a 170 ks/106 mph in third gear but Suzuki takes the fun factor to a whole new level and ten grand cheaper. Keeping both tho,,lol.
josh786manchester I did...several times. There aren’t many tests on this bike compared to say an MT10
just watched it today!!!
I'm watching in 2020, and I bought this bike in 16 lmao
2021
This review is simply spot on! Your impressions were a big influence on my purchase. I rode the Z900 first, and it was a fine bike, but when I took this baby out?? OHHHHHH SHIT!! I knew instantly which bike it was going to be. One thing I disagree with you on though is while this bike is very comfortable, it is a bit hard on my "General and two Colonels." I've got some cycling shorts with a pad in them and that helps, but I also plan on making a foam insert I can put in my pants.
+evergreengunnut nice to hear buddy, it was some time ago I tried this but did really enjoy it! Need to try one again 👍
A brilliant review, thank you. Looks like a fun bike to ride and sounds beautiful!
Thanks Flibble, Yes mine felt like riding a machine of torture in comparison tbh and without that much more power or handling ability! Just made me think why... Haha
Great review I got this one and I am in my 60s?
Bob
I’m getting ready to get a bike after not having one for 20 years... my last bike was an86 VFR750... do you think this will be a bit much? Should I get the 750?
Inquiring minds want to know....
Great bike for the money. Bought a 2016 in grey with 900mls now on 5k no issues, unlike my brother's 765rs. Plenty of low and midrange shove which is where you spend most of the time. Comfy can easily do a tank 150+ miles before getting off. Sounds fantastic haven't felt the need to change the stock system. Throttle is sensitive even with a power commander but you get used to it.
Rode this bike today and it is fantastic. Compared to the z1000 it feels like a 600 racer. And the breaks are so much better than the z1000
I had several, rather large accidents watching this, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Hopefully this shuts up all the bastards calling it a dreary old Bandit! Thumbs up to you sir! :)
Haha thanks JamLamb :)
Looks like you had fun!
Good review, and I agree with you about the rider aids, and electrical gubins. For your average joe (or lamb chop) a bike like the GSXS 1000 (or similar) is brilliant, and above and beyond that which you need. And so anything more is just willy waggling.
Thanks Matt, Yep I think Suzuki have certainly got this one right! Hope it does well for them sure it will!
Lamb Chop Rides did you buy it????
Good review especially on the price point, prices on bikes can be hard to deal with. Suzuki wants to sell units & price them to move, you get a good bang for the buck.
Nice video . I'm looking at a 2016 GSX-S1000 RIGHT NOW . 2200 miles on it for 7,999 . So I was checking out some video's on it .
Great review - nice to listen to and spot-on. That machine is pure, unadulterated fun.
Thanks leafspring :)
Couldn't agree more, proper real road bike fun. Great review!
Thanks Steve
Thank you for the awesome review, the traction control you have to close the throttle to be able to change it. Cheers.
5:01 hear that whining sound? I love that
Thanks for the review Lamb chop. I have also test ridden this bike, and agree with everything you said. It's a lovely bike to ride, and hopefully own.....soon. :-)
The traction control will reset on the move but you have to completely close the throttle, press the reset, change it then press set again. As G.I.B says. :-)
Safe riding.
Thanks Bunky I couldn't find that :)
I must have one. Excellent job on the review! Keep up the good work, 🍻
I actually have one in thr garage right now to do a revised video on it 👍
@@LambChopRides ,, Awesome! I have a 2018 Honda CB650F, I really like this bike, it handles great, ok on power, but, after watching your review,, you sold me on the GSXS 1000! Can't wait to watch your revised review! Have fun and thank you for getting me hooked on this bike, my wife really appreciates it!😆
What song was that in the b roll footage of the bike that song was dope
How is the wind blast at speed as I don't recall you mentioning it? Would you recommend a small screen? And what are the luggage options for touring? Great review, definitely have this on the top of my list, I'll be test riding one asap! Cheers.
I've got one but in red and black, it's a great bike.😍😍
Great bike got the naked version in the grey, looks stunning. Great review so thanks as it convinced me to get one :)
Just rode the S1000R Sport today Yogi, wasn't as good as the GSXS you've don't the right thing! :)
I've got a fz1n 2007 and it's a great bike but I think the gsxs is next for silky affordable reliability, could you do a review of an fz1n for comparison to your naked line up please 👍🏼😎
it's on my list to test ride this year....
Is the throttle really difficult to control on this bike, or is that blown out of proportion? A lot of people say it's too snatchy.
It's snatchy for sure but not unmanageable just have to be aware in less than ideal conditions ect
Would this be a good upgrade from a GSX-R 600? I feel it might be too similar a bike, or is it a different beast altogether?
No complexly different sort of bike, nothing like it really.
Ah thanks, i have to really test ride it i suppose. Do you think it will be too fast coming from a 600?
@@bebo3ful7 years later haha, it will be a lot more torquey which is where the fun is, if you didn’t do it, do it!
Is this a better all rounder than the gsxs750 chops?
Nice review matey.
Looks like a belter!
Thanks SB
You cannot change any mode when your are in motion sir. Nice video. The TC especially. Maybe its for safety reasons.
I'm sorry I doubted you.. 😂.. this bike is awesome. I have a 2018 "Z" version.
What does that “Z” stand for? I know the F is faring what’s the Z an app wrench package or better parts what is the difference between the GSXS1000F and GSXS1000FZ!
@@tammyforbes2101 .. The "Z" version is all "blacked out".
Just sold my Yamaha XTZ 660 Tenere to old and sore for that dirt adventure malarkey time to go back to a road bike and I think this will be it .
Did the 18 model get an ecu upgrade to make it smoother?
Very Cool Bike! I have the Honda Cb 1000R is a brilliant Bike as well :)
I know that thing is just perfect
Comfort and power.. Its the future :-).. Great review
Thanks Jay
Can't wait for mine to arrive! Was such a struggle giving it back to them ;)
Lucky bugger! My buddy has just bought one also so will be in the vids which will be cool
Test riding one on Tue. Cannot wait. It's going to be this or a Z900. I'll be riding both of them!
The Z900 is a great bike and is considerably cheaper than the GSXS 1000.
did you get the chance to ride the F fairing bike by chance?
Fabulous review as always, thinking of changing my Fzs1000 after 10 years, will be looking at gsxs1000 or similar, any advice.?
Great review, well done!
What would you relate the passenger seat to? Same as a typical sportbike? I love this bike, it is what I have always wished Suzuki would make but now I am married and she likes to go riding with me. I know, I know, she should get her own bike lol.
Trading in my xsr900 for this . Hopefully I'll enjoy it , It has a 58 liter top box
Yes indeed a power commander or flash would fix the problem, its just too lean for emissions
G2 Throttle Tamer Tube
Dave The Bike that’s what Power Commanders do,they sort the fuelling correctly of to suit your way of riding, fit one you won’t regret it 👍
Did a testride with a Speed Triple today, what a machine!
Gotta testride this GSX-S 1000 and make a decision to buy one of these bigger bikes, coming from a CB650R.
What do you think, Chops? Which one do you prefere? 🤔
Best on board of this bike so far, great vid, just need to sell my RSV 1000 now & roll on June. think I will go for the black one.
Paul Whelan Thanks Paul, yes its a great great bike.. The more I think back to that ride the more I want one haha
fz10 or this?
how does it compare to the z1000sx?? Any chance of a review??
how can you have ride modes and TCS with cable actuated throttle? Most ride by wire bikes have cables. They go to a servo that opens and closes the intake butterflies.
Believe it works buy cutting the ignition, more than one way to skin a cat! :)
+Lamb Chop Rides you are absolutely right. I should have googled it before making that statement. Cheers!
No worries Forry, had me thinking there for a moment too :)
heh thanks for ur review.
I loved my sv650...
Not as much as my gsx-s tho .. no regrets !
Hoping to have that one someday
Wow that was a mighty bike - 16:04 was that bird poop splashed on ur visor sir?
Haha it could have been Ivan but think it was a bee, it was bug central as the sun was out :)
Does it have a switch throttle with the traction control on 3 ? And can u prevent wheelie when you take a hand full of throttle?
woo hoo like it i want one ...i was just at Honda today and i looked at the new
Honda cb 1000r 2015 can you test this next and do a comparison with the Suzuki
***** Thanks MollyG, I was just about to email Honda about a ride but they dont seem to make them anymore??
Try the Speed triple.........you'd be surprised. The triple lump is a beauty.
exuptoy Few people have said this now and Im going to, Triumph were not to keen on me test riding one but will have to go down and insist hehe :)
Thanks for the feedback Chaveiro, sounds like I need to sort a test ride on the Speed Tripple then! Will see what triumph can sort for me :)
Looks like a great bike!!
Is short people good for this bike? i am only 173cm tall.
You’ll be good. I’m 168cm and both feet touch ground
Dragon local got one and put HyperPro front fork springs. Kills the twisties! But my bike is a 16 n I wana know about the new model, can you do the 2019 GSX-S1000 review plz/thx. Great reviews keep them coming
Yes may be able to sort that out!!
How's the throttle response heard that's a bit too responsive and not very smooth.
+Kalyan Chakravarthy yes it's snatchy, power commander transforms it apparently
its one of the best bikes in the category if the throttle respose can be fixed it will be unbeatable.
new ECU for 2016 onwards...Suzuki will retro-fit the new ECU for customers who request it. Test rode the faired model with the revised ECU and no throttle issues at all.
thats great news, will test drive and see.
Hey there, do u get the fairing model over in the UK as well?
O u added u do to the end...
Duh.
I wonder how that would feel differently via highway
What a great video, i have watch'd it twice this week. Im looking in to getting one my self, i was just thinking, does the 1000F have the same seating position? and sry for my bad spelling and grama ;) Cheers
I'd love it if you would put a mic near the exaust ;)
Wow thanks Klaus twice I am honoured :) don't forget to subscribe hehe. I've not tried a 1000f but would image it's similar..
What kind of helmet is that? That's sweet I want one!
Does the non-ABS version have traction control or is it all part of the ABS package?
Yes, traction is on all models abs is the option
Any plans on doing 750 version like to here your views
Already done Chris, have a search through my test ride playlist you will see it
@@LambChopRides So what is your verdict 750 vs 1000? Which one is better?
Excellent review. Do you like this better than the Yamaha MT-09?
I like Suzuki's focus on low-tech.
Poor brakes on Suzukis? My B-King's are amazing.
I'd like to have seen you ride in the city as some reviewers criticise the GSX there because of the snatchy on-off throttle.
Nice helmet, lad.
what was the piece of music used in the beginning when showing the bike? cheers pal
Energy Drink by Virtual Riot
Gsxs or mt10?
Nice video. Nice bike. I am not riding at this point because my R6 has starting issues.
This video made me miss riding /sadface.
Sorry to hear that John, hope you get it sorted soon summer is coming! :)
So do I.
After watching you ride. Made me want to get out there and get my wife to push me while I sit on her

Lol 😃
Nice looking bike, great review, makes sense to de-tune to make it usable.
Think I need a closer look :-)
You do Jarrod, yes you do :)
Forgot to mention, I've got about 10K miles under my belt, so not much experience really.
got one getting shipped to my local dealer!!
when you turn the bike off, then on again the next time, is the traction control setting where you last had it? or does it default to 3 each time you start it?
Sorry G R cant remember was a while ago I rode this sorry
Oh, I thought it was your own bike :-) Thank for the review though. I'm considering this bike, or the new Kawasaki Versys 1000.
the TC stays on the settings you choose
There is nothing in that bike styling wise I like about that sadly.
Once again nice review
So did you hand it back? lol
Unfortunately yes :)
Nice joke
