As a “do everything for a long time and not give you any sh*t” real world ‘bike, hard to fault. Being the engine it is, it’ll do a gazillion miles with just by-the-book servicing. Secret weopon of the tall-rounders. Get one of these and spend the £5k you’ve saved over a premium price tag, spend the £5k enjoying the hell out of it and not worry. Hardly stockings and suspenders, agreed, but none the less very good. Really enjoying the series. Great work. 👍
Yes exactly!! I've been given the green light to get the exhaust swapped and mapped. I'm very interested to see what it's like fully uncorked! Going to be a missle I think, that's where you can spend the savings 😎
Apart from the seat hight this is the perfect bike. And it not just cheaper to buy than the XR but will be much cheaper to maintain too. And long term Suzuki reliability will be better than an XR so it’s a 👍👍 from me
Really enjoyed the final episode. My misses has her mod 2 this morning, so takes my mind off it. Good video, always great standard of pictures and sound.
Nice one Chopsy. Thank you. This is one of the bikes on my purchase list for 2025. Great to hear that the quick shifter works going down the box under load. A huge positive that Suzuki missed the opportunity to mention this as it makes a huge difference! 👍👍
The GSX-S750 is such a nice bike. I was interested in a new 2022 about a year ago, but it sold before I could get to it. Too bad they’ve been canceled.
Great mini series. Thanks for sharing! I’ve just bought myself one of these on a crazy cheap end of season deal from my local dealer. Pick it up in a couple of weeks, can’t wait!
Great tour. Fabulous roads. Super company and lovely weather. Very different from your other biking videos, but equally the same quality imagery and editing. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome trip 👍. Probably the only way to make friends with the bike , very few niggles . All round a nice bike . I will be interested in the difference after the performance parts are fitted . Great work Chops .
Another Top Drawer Video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼, well done , up with Top Motorcycle Vloggers 🏍🏍👍👍your vids are always interesting and informative Keep up the Great vids 👍👍🏍🏍📹📹
BMW bikes are generally that 10-20% more than the competition, it’s badge tax. The GX looks like a great bike, nicer in grey where those ugly horizontal silver rad covers are less obvious. Plush suspension will differentiate it as the XR suspension is either rock hard or wallowy. The XR is stupidly expensive, even this bike seems a bit over priced for what it offers but then all large and even medium capacity bikes are going that way. I wonder how many of us are thinking of dropping £15K on any bike right now?
The problem buying a new bike these days is if your local dealer is going to be around for servicing and potential warranty work, I have just had an email from my local dealer telling me they are no longer going to be a Suzuki dealer, and they have been with Suzuki for seventeen years!! I think riding a motorcycle these days is becoming too expensive for most people hence the decline in dealers.
Lovely to see you touch ground in Sweden and Malmö (where I work), and since you didn't include much footage of Köpenhamn (Copenhagen) I imagine that went well also. The bike seems extremely capable for these kinds of tours - just as it should. 👍
Yes unfortunately battery ran out on the way to hotel so missed that.. But had a good meal out in the city centre that evening. Your neck of the woods then J?
@@LambChopRides Yeah, former primary customer was right next to the bronze mermaid in Copenhagen, and current office is in Malmö (though I work primarily from home). That's the beauty of the IT industry - you can work from home and still wreck havoc in the entire world or fix the occurring havocs. I'm mostly into the latter. Home is a place situated some 60 minutes north of Malmö.
You should put something like your riding jacket between the straps and the seat. Probably no permanent damage or deformation etc. possible to the seat but just something I do on ferries. Though my ferry rides are closer to half a day e.g. from Finland to Sweden, so much longer than yours.
Really nice trip 😎 You should have continued in Sweden along the south East coast to the ”Österlen” region. One of the best parts in Sweden. But you can do it next time…. 😉👍 Cheers and thank you for a good series of film.
Another entertaining episode Chops. I like the GX but it's odd to me Suzuki GB haven't put some decent tyres on if they're essentially relaunching it & the rubber was the weak point on the original launch. On a side note, what is Denmark famous for? Vikings, Lego, bacon & Hans Christian Anderson. ; )
check your map, no idea where you are !, first island was Lolland, then falster, the zealand , which is not main land denmark, thats jylland , glad to help, good vid by the way 💪👍
Looking on the Suzuki site, the plus version your on here. Is on offer for £14,799. Free side cases and 0% for 3 years if people are interested. Enjoyed the series, plus looking forward to you getting your mitts on the upcoming bikes. :)
Hi Chopsy, those country views are so so good. We're so jealous here in Western Australia! I know we have nice views too. Anyhoo, like a previous person asked, I wonder how the GX compares against the new Kawasaki Versys 1100 and Yamaha Tracer. Also the BMW XR, we know has the extra power, but I'm assuming that's only an advantage in the upper rev range, and the Versys with it's extra cc may have the best torque delivery at low to mid rpm's. Obviously there's also the whole package of the bikes to compare as well. So maybe it'd be a close call between the Kawasaki & Suzuki? Cheers Mr Chops. I always look forward to seeing your bike reviews. 👍😃🏍🏍
Yeah that's it Dan, real shame on a premium bike. It's sort of understandable on the middleweight budget bikes. Shame you couldn't make it as it was a brilliant trip 👍
Look how clean it is no rubbish floating around the streets, they are filthy. thats the only thing with so much of Britain's streets are filthy 😢, Those lovely country roads with open fields some grubby individuals would of dumped rubbish everywhere in the UK. My backside would of been in bits 😂the time you'd been riding, Enjoyable video 😊
This new “crossover” style of bike like the XR and Tracer 9 is the style of bike I’m looking for as a winter bike. Everything else I have has no wind protection or real luggage capacity. You need that when temps change 30 degrees from the ride into work and the ride home. The Suzuki is a bit speedy in the U.S. and they are giving discounts in trying to move them. Chops if you had to choose would you take the Suzuki or a couple year old K1600?
Thanks for the video chopsy! Could you please share the route in this video? It’s rather difficuly finding a nice route like that in this part of Denmark!
Looks like a really excellent trip! One question... I know you didn't do a lot of riding at night, but how well does that tiny headlight work after dark? Thanks!
Can I ask you Chops what can I spray if at all anything to keep water and corrosion out of the handle bar buttons on my KTM SD R track bike ......project TurboLarder.....!!!!. Cheers.👍👍
I'm set on a guzzi v100 mandello or a stelvio... I'm not a super fast racer... does this Suzi offer enough to mitigate for having a chain and surpass the Guzzis??
Chops how do you find the "premium seat"? I am wondering if it's worth the upgrade. Btw I upgraded my tires to Michelin Road 6's before I had my bike delivered purely due to the reviewers bitching so much about the stock tires. I am very happy with my bike.
@@BernardVisagieI disagree with chopsie here. I had my bike delivered with the standard seat for the first couple of weeks because the comfort one (part of a package in my country) was back ordered. I find the comfort ones quite better, more supportive and the pillion one has a different profile so the pillion doesn’t slide on your back under braking.
Hey, is this real? I saw on wherever about the ocean and a change to the natural undulation of warm waters in like 60 years or so? Like the AOMC or something? Is that anything?
Wondering what the insurance on one would cost 🤔 my insurance company doesn't like my kawasaki Z900, it costs twice as much as my harley-davidson Electra glide. If this is cheaper looks like a good swap.
When I saw the bike I was personally not impressed, not for my requirements.. And I am a Suzuki fan boy... For me it's lacking on the tourer aspect. No centre stand Suzuki do not recommend a top box. Poor size pillion seat, and most pillions like the security of a top box.. No adjustable screen.
