I've tried pegasus and dig to turn my tab s7 into a portable emulation station, but gave up in both because there is always some issue with them. I use launchbox on my pc and love that I can just select what emulator to use with different consoles. I prefer this since retroarch loves to be a pain in the ass when it comes to control configs
Kinda sad that the one on the playstore failed (due to the playstore restrictions and you cant buy it anymore) Still use it on my phone and still works kinda. But glad this one is side loaded :3
That's awesome. Though I'd be really cool if you could get all the games from the pc version into the Android version. Sort of like stream/download it straight onto the Android as an optional thing.

i never got this to work on nvidia shield. even though i setup the correct cores even downloaded all the cores. after launching retroarch plus just bugs out or i get black screen or i get prompt to download core even though they are all downloaded
I have the same question, what is everyone else doing to quit Retroarch and return to LB. If I just use the app switcher to go back to LB frontend, Retroarch remains open which in-turn will not allow a new game to be loaded. That problem aside, the setup of LB Android is so simple and straightforward. Nice work!
Same problem here. I have set it up like the ETA Prime video says to, and it will not exit from Retroarch back into LB. It takes me to my home page, leaving Retroarch and Launchbox both active. If I switch back to Launchbox, the program restarts. It really makes me not want to use it anymore.
So you guys ignore me on eta page so I’m going to try on here so I paid for the android app you guys pulled it from the play store and I want to kno will I have to pay again ?

If you're not using RetroArch, getting an emulator set up is so hard. Custom emulator activity name and custom emulator rom path??? What is that? How do you find that if the emulator is an app from the app store? So many things confusing with it
I seem to not be able to get this work with Retroarch. Every time I try to play a game that launches with retroarch it never loads. It just opens retroarch. I’m pretty sure I selected the correct core in launchbox and I have the core downloaded in retroarch. Works great when I try to launch something with dolphin or another stand alone emulator. Any help would be appreciated.

Most Android phones don't have that much memory to store that many games it must it is a low end game system but it would be nice to have it play it from the SD card or an external hard drive and also the media could stay on that drive too to keep too much stuff on the device
This isn't working for me. Followed setup in the video. Hit play on a game and it just launches RetroArch Plus, but nothing else, no game loads, no error message. I updated the cores, as well as tested RetroArch on its own. When I launch a game via RA+ the game loads just fine, but when I hit play from LaunchBox, nothing. Any ideas?

Neo Geo AES roms load with retroarch fine but not when you launch the game through retroarch through launchbox there's just a black screen on retroarch any ideas?
The most common reason is when you have the Extract ROM option turned on in the LaunchBox emulator settings, but could be other things like setting the wrong core, or needing to close both LaunchBox and RetroArch before launching.
everything worked perfectly but for a few of my games its black box art and back grounds and no matter how meany times i try to download and fix the art it keeps making it black any fix for this issue either way love the app itself

So for the PlayStation I use duckstation and it says that it doesn’t load right into game with front ends. However in reset collection it does load right into game.

There are ways to do this using cloud storage syncing services. Just remember that every emulator (and core) will have their own save state file type that are not interchangeable.
We do have the ability to add custom emulators, but they require information about the emulator that may be hard to find. Is standalone melonDS not supported by Launchbox android yet? trying to change default emulator with it but it doesn't show up when setting it up besides through retroarch. haven't seen anyone talk about it anywhere either. when I set custom emulator it asks about declaring activity in androidmanifest.xml

I gave up on it and bought a refurbished steamdeck instead with steamdock. put emudeck on it.

The emulator you are using would have to have a way to quit. You could also use the Android app switcher.

No, and it's really annoying having to restart Launchbox every time.
It didn't work for me, the apk gives error during installation.

And N64 does not work on Android through RetroArch for most games. It needs an option for Mupen FZ to be worth while.

The auto download just downloads a bunch of Japanese and other country box art. I even have prefer North America selected but still does that.
Mine did too on some. I deleted the file and it re-download the correct ones

can you just add titles like on the PC version? I use the PC version to basically just keep track of my collection
At the moment, you can manually add games on a per-platform basis from within the app, or import games from your PC version.

There is. However, those sticks are fairly strictive on storage space, but it will work.

Why when I try to download it does it give me a .bin file instead of an apk!!?? Help please??
It's an issue with some Android browsers and email clients. You can either rename the file extension to .apk or try a different app to download.
