  • The Daijisho frontend is relatively new but has quickly risen in the ranks to become my favorite frontend. It is super snappy, feature-rich, can be used as your home app, and is completely free. In this video we'll take a look at its features and how to set it up on your favorite Android device -- Retroid Pocket, AYN Odin, Logitech Cloud, or even an old Android phone or tablet.

Just commenting to say that I tried this out on my Retroid Pocket 2+ and am never going back to anything else. Everything else I'd tried on the system was either super fiddly or didn't do certain things I wanted, but this was basically perfect right off the bat. Great suggestion and video as usual Russ.

A snappy and beautiful looking front end is what I've always wanted. While many emulations have the bells and whistles one might need, they can often look very rough or intimidating. This is the best of both worlds, and the set up doesn't seem too bad. Looking forward to trying this with my Retroid.

Was hesitant to try this because of my previous experience trying to set up frontends. Always took too much to get looking nice and there were always little nagging issues that kept it from being a good experience. But this was sooo easy to set up. Everything just kinda worked and it all looked and played nice. Ended up setting it to my home button and disabling my lock screen and now my Odin feels less like an Android tablet with a controller, and more like an actual game console. It feels so much easier to just turn the device on and start playing.
