I was raised in Maryland about an hour and a half from Ocean City. We spent a week or more every summer on 12th St. that used to be the mayflower hotel. It burden down several years ago many years ago you talk about fine dining everything from that restaurant was grown on their land, and the fish was always fresh. We went to the pier for the rides and got burned beyond crisp as kids! We were four girls 13 to 15 months apart. We rode bikes every morning on the boardwalk go down to get the best donuts early before we have breakfast at the restaurant hotel. At age 10, we went to Rehoboth and we were sitting on the dock and Lewes canal that leads out to the Roosevelt Inlet. I heard the song sitting on the dock of the Bay and knew I would come here someday again. Nine years later, I moved down to the beach and I’ve spent my life here from 19 to now 66. What a place to live
I know this was mainly about the fishing, but being from Maryland, you missed out on what we do best….steamed crabs and old bay seasoning. Dumping a bushel on a table, sit down with family and friends and start picking. Doesn’t get any better than that.
@@tonygaines15 OC isn’t all of MD. If the locals in OC use that instead of Old Bay now, well good for them. I grew up with Old Bay being used on steamed crabs and nothing will beat the taste and there are plenty of other Marylanders that will agree.
Aww I’m almost 42 lived in Md my whole life, so many memories of Ocean City! From kid to adult, I’m so glad for you to showcase all the goodness of it because it is a pretty cool place. We all love it a lot.
I used to bartend at Seacrets back in the day. The first year of the nightclub. The owner is Leighton Moore , he used to buy the palm trees from Florida , then he bought the entire business about 15+ years ago. Every summer all the bartenders rebuild every bar that is shut down for the winter. The management back in the day really listened to the bartender's for input about how bars were set up. When I worked there , our capacity was unofficially , 5,400 people with another 2,000 people just waiting in line. That was some good times.
I was last there around 2009. Was that with Mr. Moore or the previous owner? I remember the bouncers being super aggressive with the people waiting in line. I’m sure they mostly had good reasons for that as there were some aggressive guys around, but there is a reason I never went back. Good times!
I remember truly back in the day, Secret's was a locals only bar....hence the secret. It was a tiki dock bar and the house. I used to work in the t-shirt hut that was a one person hut. That place has EXPLODED since then.

I was born and raised in Ocean City. My husband and I both worked in OC for 30ish years and now live about 20 miles from downtown. We loved this video. It was great seeing you hit some of our favorite spots in OC. Thanks!
Ocean city is considered one of the premier beaches on the East Coast and you can clearly see why from this excellent video. So many more best kept secrets in and around Ocean city but we’ll just keep it that way for the locals 😊🇺🇸
Good to see you on video again, miss your weekly content. This is a great video in Ocean City. Your hotel room is incredible, and the food you eat is awesome. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Oh my goodness!! What an amazing time y’all had! That’s what you call a 5 Star vacation 👏 I think I have a few favorite things from that! The ponies ( oh my word”!!! BEAUTIFUL 🤩) The seafood yall caught and had cooked up at both restaurants!! My mouth was watering 🤣 AND last but not least, when Kellie said she missed you Cody 🥰 What a blessed couple to enjoy each other’s company so much!! I think it’s a rare gift to find and marry your best friend 💕 God bless you both and “ See you on the other”! 💜😎
Awesome jammed packed episode! What a great one! The boardwalk, going beyond the continental shelf, those fish, Kellie enjoying herself on the beach, and y’all sharing great times and your catch prepared at nice restaurants! Such an epic experience! Nice job BTW. I really appreciated this one!
I used to go crab fishing by the bridge in Ocean City in1982, while working for Trimper's Amusement Park. Good memories still fresh in my mind. It's funny how time passes you by and you don't even notice it. Hope I can get back there some day to enjoy it's unique atmosphere. If you dream of a delicious tourist destination to visit, Ocean City is the place for you.
Have lived in MD for just over 35 years and were frequent visitors to OC when the kids were young. Had a condo at the Quarters - Oceanside. Haven't been there in more years than I care to remember and this video took me back. And inspired me to want to visit again this summer. Well done you guys!
I grew up in Maryland and have been to many beach towns. Ocean City is the BEST beach town period!! It actually has a great boardwalk with many shops and restaurants. When you go be sure to get some Blue crabs....yum.
Great video! This is my family's go to vacation spot. We can be there in a little over 4 hrs from home. Tons and tons of things to do. Great restaurants. Love the little places like Spain Wine bar, Surfing Betty's (fabulous burgers.), Decatur Dinner (breakfast), Smokers (BBQ), etc. We typically don't beach in Ocean City but instead go to Assateague Island and use the OSV. There you can drive right onto the sand and it is a 145 vehicle limit. Once that number is reached it is a one on one off deal. You can spread out over the 12.2 miles of beach which you drive on. You can spend the day fishing and enjoying the sun! Glad you enjoyed your stay, awesome job with the video!
Just wanted you guys to know that we are from Fort Smith, Ar. Area and that because of y'all going here, we included 6 days of our summer vacation here and had the time of our lives!! We even ate at the same Fagers island restaurant as you. Tell Kody we had the surf and turf!! Anyway, thanks for going here. we would have never have put it on our vacation. And it was by far the best part of the summer vacation ❤

Our cousins live 1/2 hr from Ocean City. So we have been there several times. 😊 We have had Fishers popcorn, Thrashers fries and been to Assateague Island and saw the ponies. It’s a great place to go. Glad it was fun.
This was a crazy watch as I’ve done an interview at most of these places in the past year. I work for a Delaware local tv station and we’ve been all around Ocean City this year. Jeremy and Jason are both great guys, met them both earlier this year through work. Glad you both could enjoy the town!
How fun was that!!! I grew up in Maryland and we came to Ocean City and the board walk every summer. I remember sleeping all the way on the drive until we got to the Bay Bridge and a line of cars waiting to go over. My parents driving then. Then we would come down for spring break when I was a teen. We would go crabbing off some dock somewhere and have a Maryland blue crab feast on the beach. You stirred up Great memories. I appreciate all the additional pop-up info. really helps.
Great video of Ocean City, Maryland with so many fun things to see and do- both on and off the beach itself! And thanks for the side trip to Assateague Island [which is long enough to be in Maryland and Virginia]with its intriguing feral ponies living in herds feeding off the marsh grass! I have a relative who spent part of their childhood on the adjoining island of Chincoteague,Virginia and the town there raises money for it fire department via capturing and selling a good number of the Assateague Island ponies once a year which is highlighted by the Pony Swim in which the fire fighters get the ponies to swim across the channel between the two islands. Don't worry, they always make sure to return all those not sold and have plenty to keep the herd strong! Maybe you might want to consider a trip up there next year since the Pony Swim actually was TODAY June 24th! Thanks for another intriguing, fun and beautifully photographed video!

I spent 2 weeks visiting a friend inMaryland and I loved Ocean CIty. So many places you showed in your video brought back such nice memories. We rented bicycles and rode them in to the ocean in Assategue and saw the wild ponies. It was such a fun and beautiful place to see the sunsets and boardwalk. Thanks for sharing and bringing back those great memories.
That was an awesome video! Ocean City is my home and you guys did a great job showing the known and no-so-well-known spots! The story on the Assateague Ponies- locals brought them there to graze (along with cows too!). They have always roamed wild there and are now managed by the National Park Service.
So fun seeing you guys at my home beach Ocean City, MD and Assateague!❤. Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves!😊. The horses are so special, Thrashers fries are legendary, and Secrets is the best! Pro tip…pry those limpid, mollusk things off the horseshoe crabs and smoke them on a cedar plank…yum!😊
Wow, so awesome!!! My wife and I were going to stay in Ocean City for our honeymoon back in 2008 but we went to Mexico instead. We still want to take a vacation here someday and now I want to even more! Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us and have a blessed week!
What an excitying fun visit you all had! Kellie, those waves were huge and strong breaking near the shore! Cody, your fish was just beautiful! Ocean City looks like a super fun place to be in the summer!
Ocean City is a great vacation destination, ocean is chilly and the waves are a bit aggressive but the boardwalk and food are fantastic. Great travel log.
You missed the historical lifesaving museum on the boardwalk! So many interesting displays ~ like the step shelves with sands from all over the world! I could gaze at this for hours. Plus shipwreck treasures, photos from hurricanes in the past, aquariums, and the cutest doll houses filled with furniture - on the second floor. But the artifacts/lifesaving boat - drawn by horses - on the sand - to the beach - AND the building itself - moved a few blocks to save/restore/use. Lovely. Nice work filming this on OC MD.
great job, best I have ever seen for OCMD. thank you! I grew up coming here as a child for the summers, even got engaged and married here as well. You did a fantastic job documenting this town... Maryland my Maryland
Thank you for making this amazing video of my hometown. We rely on summer income and videos like this help bring tourists to our peaceful hideaway. Thanks!
How fun! Captain Sid and Captain Tony are cool! Beautiful boats and awesome tours! The wild ponies are pretty great. They may have been my favorites. The horseshoe crab were so interesting, too, though! I had no idea they used their blood to treat cancer 😮
Been visiting OCMD since I was a kid and have to say, you did an excellent job showcasing all it has to offer! Assateague Island (and the OSV beaches) are my new favorite summer destination, you'll have to come back for another episode and do some surf fishing!
Cody and Kelli, I certainly enjoy watching your videos and the most interesting part is the fact that when you go to a location, you always research to historic value of the place that you’re visiting you explore you hike and you bring that down to life to your viewers, plus the adventures of camping, whether it is a tent kayak or your truck camper, you are an amazingly, intelligent, informative couple that is exploring your country and sharing the beauty of our country and historic values that you find within our country to see the beauty of the rivers and oceans and ponds and lakes, and the adventures that you both have and the challenges that you meet and even come out of your comfort zone to do a fun thing makes it more enjoyable too appreciate your videos so much and I look forward to an upload whether it is a day apart a week apart a month apart it doesn’t matter you are traveling the country so it takes time to travel from one location to another set up campand then film a video edit and then on top of that just daily living. My love and prayers go with you every day. Thank you.
If ya'll still haven't cooked bacon because of the smell. Try putting it on a baking pan covered with aluminum foil. Small oven so bake on 300. When it's done let the foil cool a few minutes then wrap it up like a Hershey kiss and put in freezer. Through away as soon as frozen. No smell
I love Ocean City, Maryland. One of my favorite vacation destinations to visit for the summer along with Disney World and Myrtle Beach. I like the boardwalk and attractions. My parents like North Carolina beaches but personally they’re not much to do In NC.
It was such a surprise and pleasure meeting you two on the boardwalk! You guys did an awesome job featuring several of OC’s best spots! Glad to see you enjoyed the apple cider vinegar on Thrashers, you will never look at beach fries the same! Next time you plan to come back up this way, hit us up! We hope to see you for Oceans Calling! 😉
I lived just off 15th street for years and OC is one of the best towns to be in. It’s got some problems, as does every beach town but overall it’s safe and a family friendly place. The cops will lock you up QUICK if you mess around, just don’t. The beach is free. Parking is free if you hunt for it and walk a little bit. The bus is decent but I bike everywhere I wanted to go in town. So many events all summer long. Love Secrets. Mothers cantina. Go see Bobby at the Purple Moose. Maybe, just maybe I’ll get another place there after I come off the road and settle down 🤔
Many many great beaches not because I live in Maryland ,but O.C. Is the best is anyone can’t have a great time there something wrong . Also if ya ever want to go with your home you can camp at frontier town or Assateague Island. Awesome places Thanks for sharing your trip we just got back from O.C . Ourselves. Next time let me know when you’re coming so I can meet you both .
What a great video! Glad you enjoyed Ocean City and thank you for producing such a great video. We went to O.C. every summer when I was little and all through school. Spend senior week there and will always have the best memories with family and friends. Safe travels! XOXO

Finally watched the entire video. Ocean city is my Happy Place! This showcased OC at its best ! Great job!
great job, best I have ever seen for OCMD.
Marylander are here! I absolutely love Ocean City. In fact, I’m here right now! I love this video!!!!! it has so many of my favorite places in it!!!!
Been visiting OCMD since I was a kid and have to say, you did an excellent job showcasing all it has to offer! Assateague Island (and the OSV beaches) are my new favorite summer destination, you'll have to come back for another episode and do some surf fishing!
I thought something happened to you guys it has been a while since you had a video. Glad everything is okay.
Stuffed flounder IS TO DIE FOR. From a native Marylander.
Thank you.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
This was sooo fun to watch. I love that you two miss each other when you go your seperate ways for a day. That fish looked soooo good, yummy!!!❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
No smell
Love that you highlighted a gem in my state!
my grandparents have a house in ocean pines. grew up going here! so many memories.
I love Ocean City, Maryland. One of my favorite vacation destinations to visit for the summer along with Disney World and Myrtle Beach. I like the boardwalk and attractions. My parents like North Carolina beaches but personally they’re not much to do In NC.
Im from maryland and the 1st two stops are always a must
It was such a surprise and pleasure meeting you two on the boardwalk! You guys did an awesome job featuring several of OC’s best spots! Glad to see you enjoyed the apple cider vinegar on Thrashers, you will never look at beach fries the same! Next time you plan to come back up this way, hit us up! We hope to see you for Oceans Calling! 😉
Thank you so much for shining some light on our lovely coastal town , its great to see quality in a video of somewhere i hold so dear
Glad you enjoyed it!
Maybe, just maybe I’ll get another place there after I come off the road and settle down 🤔
Shout out to you guys thank you for doing My State justice with this Ocean city vibe right here. You represented us well.
Many many great beaches not because I live in Maryland ,but O.C.
Is the best is anyone can’t have a great time there something wrong . Also if ya ever want to go with your home you can camp at frontier town or Assateague Island. Awesome places
Thanks for sharing your trip we just got back from O.C . Ourselves. Next time let me know when you’re coming so I can meet you both .
I live inMD two hours away from ocean City. After watching this video I'm ready to go visit! You guys gave me some great ideas and things to do!
What a great video! Glad you enjoyed Ocean City and thank you for producing such a great video. We went to O.C. every summer when I was little and all through school. Spend senior week there and will always have the best memories with family and friends. Safe travels! XOXO

Great video and outstanding drone footage! Nice to revisit the beach town of my youth. I've walked every inch of that boardwalk many times.
