I actually live here and we love Happy Jacks on 25th street. They have everyone's favorites, but they also have weekly specials, and some are pretty outrageous definitely something you need to try
Sahara Cafe is very good but parking is a problem. Hated the tourist trap overpriced Bay side Skillet pink dump. Wife wanted a pancakes nope , then asked for toast nope. She does not like creeps. Laytons good but had problem with young help goofing off and taking forever on the place on 90th Street. Always got great pancakes & omelettes from the two Dough Rollers on the main drag. Heard bad monkey was good ( same guy John that owns Fagers Island owns that ).
Fractured Prune is great. I only kept it out of this competition because it's really a specialty eatery. However, it does make my best of restaurants videos. Check them out on my channel.
I agree with number 1! we stay at the Sahara every year and it's so easy to walk from our room to the cafe. The food there is delicious and some of the best out there
The Dough Roller Restaurants at 3rd Street on the Boardwalk and the The Dough Roller at 4th Street / just down from the Convention center. The Service and Food are Awesome and Amazing too.
Ummmmmmm SHARKYS GRILL on 2nd street & Baltimore. Family owned and the food is literally amazinggggggggg. They have my favorite scrapple!!! In a recent 3 day trip I went there 3 days in a row because it’s just comfort and good price and fast service and great food
Have to say Sahara looked like a must try, along with bayside skillet. Surfing Rooster on 611West OC. is one of our favorites the tasso gravy as well as the smoked gouda grits are Great! Another one of our favorites is the Decatur diner on 611.

So we are a little new to the brunch game but the lookout lounge on 45th is going to blow you away. There’s literally not a single thing we don’t make in house from the Canadian bacon to the English muffins and everything in between. I am confident when I say we are the only scratch kitchen in Ocean City. Come see us!!

I just got back from OC. My Daughter lives in Dover Delaware. She pointed out a place in West OC, where she had a great breakfast. I'm not sure if it's the same place or not. It was at a weird angle from the road we were on. We went during Bike Week. If I had known I could have brought my little Eliminator. I been going there since the 70s. I laugh going by the Eden Roc. Lol. It's been there since then. Can't wait to see more. I love OC.MD.
The Bad Monkey is an excellent breakfast spot but I’m excited to see Sahara Cafe is #1! My friend and I are staying at that motel in august. We’ll have to try it out for sure!
We have been to Sahara for breakfast at least 8 times for breakfast. Worst part is trying to find a parking spot for sure. Found bay side a joke. They do not offer pancakes or toast. Paid $5 forxa shot glass of so so orange juice. Been to both Layton's for breakfast & lunch. Like the location at South end of town. Twice the Layton's next to Princess Royale had the dumbest laziest college clowns working there. Tried to eat at the bad monkey but they were closed some days during first year of pandemic.

I have been to and like Barn 34, Laytons and I’ve tried the bayside skillet but, my new best one, not located in OCMD just a short drive away Abi’s which is located back by the casino. Abi’s actually has homefries like we have here in southeastern Pa! Love this place n the chipped beef over toast is amazing
Barn 34 and Surfside Rooster are the tops in the OC Breakfast game. Malias, Satelite, and Monkey Balls get the honorable mention. All other take in at your own risk.
Layton's downtown better then the one next to Princess Royale Motel. Shara is a very good place for breakfast. Wish they stayed opened thru November when we come down for our other week in OC.

Supper at Barn 34 was disappointing) tasteless burger and chicken . Will definitely go back and try a steak though… We were there last weekend for the endless summer car cruise
Happy Jack is our family’s favorite. Make sure to try the home fries with the Old Bay cheese! Layton’s deserves a spot on the list. The food and fresh donuts are great and the owner comes to every table with samples of his donuts. He treats even the newest guest like his oldest friend. Sahara to us was gag worthy. Everything was piled high with salsa and it was just not to our liking. I would not give it another chance.
Agree about Sahara. Their food isn’t anything special and when you complain about the bad service they treat you like crap. If you check out their reviews it’s not an uncommon issue

It's the food that was not good. If you're a crepe type person who wants a fruity breakfast, it might be ok. If you want a "real" breakfast, eggs, meat, potatoes, benedict, or other traditional meal? Nope. Denny's comes closer. Denny's! I know they've changed their menu over the years. It may be better now.

A lot of great places on this list but will never again eat a Sahara. Waited almost an hour for our food and was treated like total crap when we complained. Just because they’re somehow always at the top for meh food they think they can have bad and slow service. Been 4 years and still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

While these are all great spots none of them come close to General's Kitchen Chipped beef. Great food and super sevice.
General's Kitchen is solid. It's definitely a place that has carved out a breakfast niche in Ocean City.

If your taste in breakfasts is anything like your taste in music, you need to reassess your credibility. Nice playlist. lol.
