Ok. THIS is my favorite vlog yet. I love history and this blew me away. I had no idea Charleston had so much history. I agree with Kelly. I learned more from that tour then I ever knew as well. Bucket list trip for sure!!!! Thanks so much. Stay safe. ❤
SC has been my home for 60 years. I've been to Charleston many times and now I want to go again. Thank you for visiting and sharing, quite exceptionally well, I might add.
I’ve been watching a bunch of Charleston travel vlogs to get ideas for my upcoming trip. I’ve never seen Charleston Fossil Adventures! So fun!! Will definitely go and request your amazing guide! Thank you for sharing your beautiful trip! ❤
Hey Family! Your trip looks so fun. You all do such amazing aerial footage filming your videos. Great video. We live in North Carolina and visit Charleston often. Be safe! ❤
Great video!! We go to Edisto every spring, just a little further down the coast. I can never find shark teeth😢. I want to go fossil hunting with Ashby on our next trip! I have already looked him up. The Angel Oak is a must see! I'm still in awe of that tree everytime we visit it.
So happy to see ya here in Charleston! The word is definitely out about this beautiful city. I live just up the road in Summerville. Thank you for sharing my home area, come back and see us!!
If you are in North Florida, at Mayport Beach, just north of Jacksonville, the beaches there have historically had thousands of Sharks Teeth, which we've found. It's a constant treasure hunt. 😮
Really great footage! Beautiful trees, and town. Rich in important history for the country. The fossil hunting was so interesting. I think you guys earned some college credits for this one 🏴☠️😎 📜🌙🌴
What an amazing adventure! This is why I love your channel! 😊 Seeing y'all get so excited about those fossil findings along the beach is super exciting! Great find on that pre-historic shark tooth Cody for your next necklace! Amazing finds y'all! 👍👍
Wow. I just dont have the words. What a wonderful journey and history lesson. The shark tooth guy was amazing. I want to go there now. Great video. Awesome coverage you guys. What a wonderful break from all the politics on the web.
Omg SOOOO JEALOUS of that HUGE sharktooth!!! 😲 This is so funny we learned from some locals how to find sharkteeth when we were in Charleston 😅 Super cool place we LOVED our time there. We spent about 4 months there at Summerville lakes rv park, so cool, right between 2 swamps, tons of gators 😅 This is so exciting...totally taking me back to some awesome memories. ❤❤ ABSOLUTELY gorgeous beaches too! And the history forget about it!!
We live in SC and Charleston is one of our favorite places, but you took us to new places that I want to visit! I love shelling, but I've never found a shark's tooth. Now I want to go out and look with Ashby! Thanks for doing such a great job on the history! Next time you go, you might want to take a harbor tour, it's pretty interesting, too. Love y'all! Thanks for staying excellent! Jane from SC❤🙏
Ashby has got to be one of the coolest tour guides you guys have ever had on your channel. I already sent the video to my boyfriend I can't wait to visit Charleston ❤❤❤You have us sold. You're one of best resources for our travel destinations. As always thank you for sharing your adventures 😊
So glad you spent some time in Charleston! Spent a large portion of my childhood on James Island and The Isle of Palms. My daddy was born downton south of Broad Street, we always called him a “SOB” for “South of Broad”. Magnolia’s has the best shrimp and grits you will ever put in your mouth. Loved the expedition to find sharks teeth. We spend time every summer at Edisto Beach just south of Charleston and bring home zip loc bags of them. Great video! Makes me want to go back home for a visit. Thanks for sharing.
We use to live on Cumberland Island National Seashore (eminent domain/life estate). It’s across from the Kings Bay Naval Base and there’s an inlet on the tip for Shipping. So, lots of dredging. It was so fun to look for teeth, bones etc. Due to the history of the island, we were always finding pottery chards from various eras, as well as glass and metal. The good ole days… had to leave when husband died 12 years ago. This is a great business/service. It gives access to something most would not be able to do.
So awesome to see you finally made close to my home town. Wish you had the opportunity to visit Edisto Island/ beach before you left the area. Botany bay beach is also a sight to see at low tide. It's also called the bone beach because of the trees
By far one of my favorite cities. My wife and I used to go there often and just drink it in the laidback atmosphere, the restaurants, the beaches, the scenery. We could just go sit down on Battery Row and just do nothing and be happy. My Babydoll has gone on to a better place but I think I’ll go down and spend a day in a place that made us happy. Our favorite restaurant was a little Greek place called the Saffron close to the aquarium. Thanks y’all so much I may even go and find some sharks teeth.
Some of my best memories are of the vacations as a kid with Mom and Dad to the oceans. Dad and I would get up just before the sunrise and walk the beaches looking for teeth and cool shells. What I would give to relive those moments!!! ... This place and Ashby's tour is on my official bucket list now.
Although I have lived in Florida for 60 years during that time I did live in Charleston for almost 2 years way back in 1976 I loved it so much I use to walk all over it was an amazing place. Thank you so much for the walk down memory cobble stone lanes and the beautiful town I called home for a short time.❤
I absolutely love the way y’all give history stories of the palaces you visit ❤❤❤❤ learning history is my favorite y’all are amazing keep on feeding me knowledge ❤❤ and it’s funny how Kellie said she learned more in there then she did in school cuz I have said the same thing about some of y’all on TH-cam I’ve learned more from a few of y’all I follow then I ever did in school 😂
I've always wanted to visit Charleston and Savannah. Do you think Fall is a good time to go? I like to avoid as much humidity as possible......the fossil tour was amazing. Captain Ash really knows his stuff! Thanks again Cody and Kellie for sharing this adventure. You do such great videos!
Thank you Cody and Kellie. What an awesome journey. I see how much fun it is to scour the beach for fossils. I am always looking for crystals and cool rocks. Take care Cody and Kellie. I bless you.
Wow what an amazing time in Charleston!! I live in upstate SC , but there’s nothing like the coast ! Especially now that it’s cooled off 😅 I LOVE that when you ask for tea most restaurants assume you mean SWEET TEA ! I mean, is there really any other kind?! 😆 Loved the whole video! Y’all absolutely rock 😎
This was awesome. I’ve been to Charleston many times but didn’t realize there was tour to search for fossils. Now I need to go back sooner rather than later.
Being from NW Arkansas myself, love that sweet tea.. I was in Utah this summer and asked a waitress for sweet tea and she just smiled and said “we don’t have sweet but unsweetened tea” it’s just not the same
Kellie your meal plus Cody’s Mac n cheese had my name written all over it, yum 😋 and that pecan pie looked like it would have been the best I ever had!
Before their passing , father-in-law and mother-in-law lived in Summerville. We would visit from Elizabeth City N.C. They would always want to take us to downtown Charleston as it was only about 20 miles. I've seen some of the same sites that you're seeing. We live in Idaho now and miss the south and southern hospitality. Sweet Tea????? Don't get me started. Only place to get sweet tea is at McDonald's. Restaurants lookat you like you're from another planet LOL 😆
Great...great video. So enjoyable. Was getting worried about you...seems like forever since the last video!!! Charleston is a fun place...glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for showing the Angel Tree.
The teeth, basically, all look the same. I know he’s the expert, but, I can’t imagine he is so specific about his knowledge of the different types of sharks. Love you two. ❤️
His knowledge of fossils is amazing and his book is fantastic. I was with Cody, Kellie and my friend Erick on this bucket trip of mine and I can say it was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
Salem, MA, where the “witches” were buried after the witch trials I believe may be older than the headstone’s in Charleston, SC. Great video! Love the history! Little long video.
Great video! I can’t help but point out that what you called Fort Sumter was actually Castle Pinckney. Fort Sumter is farther out near the mouth of the harbor.
Tooth hunting..so cool! What would be better is that your guide should have labels to put with what he verbally told you cause then you have a record of everything. Great video as always...Thanks
One of my favorite towns is Charleston. Been there many times including going to an Easter church service at that church. You missed George Washington’s pew!
Cody literally sounded like my husband and grandkids! It’s haunted and creepy. 😂 Everytime we go somewhere old or drive by abandoned places, they say that😂
@ 😂 Charleston is great. It’s been a long time since my last visit. We went on a haunted tour at night. A spooky town after dark in the old district. Everything’s haunted, as you guys put it.
Very cool shark tooth tour. Next time you are in Florida you should check out Blind Pass Beach on Manasota Key. You most likely won’t find teeth as large as you found on the tour, but you can find literally hundreds of smaller shark’s teeth (and the occasional large tooth if you get lucky) and other fossils just washing up on the beach. No guide or serious equipment needed. It’s so fun and addictive. We went twice and found about 200 shark’s teeth in a few hours both times. I also found some great shells, mastadon enamel, puffer fish mouth plates, etc. I’ve been to Charleston once years ago and saw some of the same sites you visited. Your video made me want to go back to look for shark’s teeth. I’m an avid sheller here in Pensacola, but I’ve only found one shark’s tooth in Orange Beach. You should check out Gulf State Park next time you’re near Pensacola. Great biking trails and fishing.
You know what kind of makes me wonder if they plant all those fossils on that Beach and then you get to keep them I would have it tested to see if it's authentic😮 but hey you two take care of yourself and thank you for the video❤❤
I found a shark tooth that’s tan/ sand color, wasn’t dark like typical. It was so awesome. I found it in KW actually. Not sure if anyone’s ever found one there. I’ve lived in SC my whole life, 63yrs. You can’t go wrong with Charleston!
Lowlife on Folly Beach ROCKS!
Ok. THIS is my favorite vlog yet. I love history and this blew me away. I had no idea Charleston had so much history. I agree with Kelly. I learned more from that tour then I ever knew as well. Bucket list trip for sure!!!! Thanks so much. Stay safe. ❤
Love coastal towns with a lot of history....
It was amazing meeting you both on that fossil adventure. What a great experience.
It was great meeting you too! We had a lot of fun.

The cobblestone streets are actually paved with ballast stones carried in bottom of ships
What an amazing adventure! This is why I love your channel! 😊 Seeing y'all get so excited about those fossil findings along the beach is super exciting! Great find on that pre-historic shark tooth Cody for your next necklace! Amazing finds y'all! 👍👍

Love Charleston! We was there on vacation in May 2022 and loved it. I am usually a mountain person but there is just so much in Charleston.
What a great and educational video!!

We went to Charleston several years ago and loved it so much. I would go back in a second. Hope to go before I'm too old to enjoy it. lol
It is such a beautiful city and a great place to visit!
Folly beach was our favorite and you can definitely tell it's a locals beach, totally different vibe than Sullivan's island 🏝 😊

Love the toot hunt, just added to my list of need to try.
Your adventure made me want to go to Charleston
Very cool fossil hunting!
nice to see a new video guys. Food looked great .
after you left bar harbor, we arrived on oct 6th, and the week of oct 21st they were swimming on sand beach, only the younger ones.
The teeth, basically, all look the same. I know he’s the expert, but, I can’t imagine he is so specific about his knowledge of the different types of sharks. Love you two. ❤️
He published a book and loves it
His knowledge of fossils is amazing and his book is fantastic. I was with Cody, Kellie and my friend Erick on this bucket trip of mine and I can say it was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
Pineapple: is one of the oldest statues representing fertility 🍍
Hey Hey... you guys are in my hometown! I hope you two enjoyed Charleston. Would love to meet up the next time you come back. Love your videos!!! ❤
Salem, MA, where the “witches” were buried after the witch trials I believe may be older than the headstone’s in Charleston, SC. Great video! Love the history! Little long video.
Can’t wait to visit Salem one day
Great video!
He had us record it with our phones just for ourselves to remember what we found
One of my favorite towns is Charleston. Been there many times including going to an Easter church service at that church. You missed George Washington’s pew!
Cody literally sounded like my husband and grandkids! It’s haunted and creepy. 😂 Everytime we go somewhere old or drive by abandoned places, they say that😂
My family loves watching your videos! Charleston is amazing. Very curious on how many miles you’ve racked up on your truck so far?
Thanks! I believe we have 180,000 now.
@ Racking them up! Keep up the good work can’t wait for more videos!
Pineapples at your door mean something a bit different these days...along the same lines of being hospitable...extra hospitable lol.
That is one way to put it! 😄
@ 😂 Charleston is great. It’s been a long time since my last visit. We went on a haunted tour at night. A spooky town after dark in the old district. Everything’s haunted, as you guys put it.

Thanks for the tips. We're always looking for new places to explore!
You know what kind of makes me wonder if they plant all those fossils on that Beach and then you get to keep them I would have it tested to see if it's authentic😮 but hey you two take care of yourself and thank you for the video❤❤
It was all natural!
Next time you go to Magnolias try the shrimp and grits. Theirs are so good.
I found a shark tooth that’s tan/ sand color, wasn’t dark like typical. It was so awesome. I found it in KW actually. Not sure if anyone’s ever found one there. Also you need to get a telescope scoop, it’s the best ever…. Maryland has a spot that’s known for Shark teeth. I go to my sisters. You would love it there. Over at Lusby md
Thanks for sharing your find and the tip!
👍🏻
18-30 million years old, I'm a Bible believer, and the earth is nowhere near that old. I did thorough enjoy this video, though 😊😊😊❤.
Thanks for watching!
