  • Here’s a tutorial from start to finish how to change the rear brakes and your rear wheel bearings on your FN2.
I hope this is useful information.
Video shown in actual time to show you how easily this can be done on your driveway.
I’m using that as an excuse as I was eating tea whilst sorting the video and didn’t chop anything out 😂.
Any questions don’t be afraid to ask, and please drop the video a like it really helps
    Thank you

May seem like long pointless pauses in this video, but I wanted to show you start to finish, no camera tricks. This is so easy.
The 10mm nuts holding the splash shroud on were totally seized so they all snapped.
This is not an issue if you don’t intend on fitting new ones, like me.
If you do intend on fitting new ones I recommend using fire, get them red hot, or else you’re in for a really fun time tapping or drilling them out.
    Tools used:
Impact wrench, (breaker bars if not)
    Wind back kit
    Impact driver
    Hammer
    Ratchet
    10mm socket
    13mm socket
    14mm socket
    32mm socket
    Grease
    Wire brushes
    Chisel
    Grinder (saw if not)

had the same issue with splash guards. managed to drill ou the bolts on those who snapped. The only thing I would have done different would be taking the oportunity to take the beam for blasting and powdercoating. Saves you to do this again. Any way good job dude

Hi matty hope you’re well, great video and super happy you’ve kept these types of videos up. Just wanted to ask what the product number was for the ntn rear wheel bearing on AutoDoc as it seems to appear as item number 174.70 NTN SNR when I check. Thanks.

Great video. Just wondering was that normal silicone paste you used when fitting the new hub ?

Do you think the splash guards are necessary? The nuts on my splash guard are corroded to hell and I'm contemplating on just not installing the new ones I bought.. Doing a brake job so I thought I'd replace the guards as well but turns out it's not so easy.

They play a role in keeping the disk clean for sure, bit not a chance I was paying £100 for them. Paid less for the disks pads and bearings!

its easier and more efficient to use nut extracter than grinding.

    • @Matty_Champwhite

Yeah if there was one at hand then it would have been, but would have been far less efficient as we didn’t have one.
