  • A simple video demonstrating the replacement of the Rear wheel bearing on a 2004 Honda Civic Si, otherwise known as the EP3. This video is merely a demonstration rather then a full blown DIY.

pretty good job with the video Brian. only thing id say is to use antiseize or grease so things dont rust together so easily. but thats my opinion

On my rsx the hub was really rusty and I cleaned it the best I can but the bearing was still really tight going on, used a 32 impact socket and a hammer to tap it on in place, will that cause my bearing to go out?

5:25. music was pretty loud there..I couldn't understand you well. But thank you much for the video . I'm curious if the front is exactly the same AND would I need a torch to heat that sucker up to get it off.

mechanic friend of mine says they put those screws in the rotor during construction at the factory. to keep the rotor on and stable while its moved up and down the assemly line. who knows, it sounds good.

Just a thought, why not just leave the brake caliper on the disc and lift it off together?
I feel you safe like 10 small steps then, including pumping the brakes after which can be dangerous to forget.
Never changed a wheel bearing, but I will try it next week when the parts arrive

Gotta do mine soon, its been humming for months now. No play in the wheel and only makes a noise when going over 40mph, i am guessing its dried out. Not 100% sure which side it is, sounds like drivers side. Will get someone in the back leaning into the boot just to make sure.

James Moua it is a Timken brand bearing and almost 10k later it is quiet and performs nicely.
