My activity level is that I'm on my feet 5 days out of the week and most days I hit 10,000 or more steps a day. If I am pulling freight, it's more. Should I enter exercise 1-3 days out of the week or 4-5 days? Since I had my Gallbladder removed last year, I'm having a hard time losing weight. I use to be really active before my dad died last year and then my gallbladder issue right after. So I gained and it is really hitting me because I am afraid to go back to 240. I don't want to get to 190 even. I'm fluctuating 176-186. It's aggravating.
Tried the calculator you linked and it feels off. It says at 200 lbs and 6’2” that I can maintain with 2700 calories and lose a point a week at around 2200. Those both feel pretty high to me even with getting 3-5 days of workouts in
Im having a hard time…im 5’5 and weigh 160lbs. I strength train 5-4 days a week but im struggling to lose some fat. Any tips on what calorie amount I should try?
Great video. Like your practical approach to the subject. Thanks for sharing. "What other methods, if any, have you used to calculate your calorie intake to lose fat?" Weighing scales.
the way i count my calories is this way - i only target my' goal weight' by 5 pounds only. by only focusing on 5 pounds only ,its not that heavy of a strain mentally.and its easy to get to my goal . then once im done and i reached my goal weight ,i set a new goal -another 5 pounds. i get quicker results and quicker accomplishments than had i told myself 'i need to lose 10 pounds'-i would have to wait for the scale to be 10 pounds lighter before i could be proud of myself. smaller accomplishments are easier to obtain. how i calculate my daily calories is i take my goal weight and i multiply it by 10. so if im 200 pounds and my goal weight is to be 195 LBS ,i multiply that number by 10 and i get 1950 calories per day . i do this ,this way because I am NOT exercising. 10 means ZERO exercising. now lets say im exercising this day ,i change the number from 10 -to 11 -because i will be exercising only ONE time today. if i was exercising 2 times i would multiply my goal weight by 12. i do not count macros or anything else because thats just too hard for me to do.

"If what you're doing is working, don't fix it" - it is very interesting how we can become constantly focused on what we need to improve.
So true! I suppose that can be both a positive and negative.
I’ve always used the standard 1200 calories because I didn’t know how to calculate my calorie needs. Thank you for sharing!
You’re more than welcome!
This helps a lot! I was excted about a device that was supposed to measure this... turns... doesn't appear to be possible yet.
Unfortunately, it's not as of now. Maybe someday in the future we will find ways to be even more accurate!

very helpful info - I didn't know about the calorie formula!
So glad it was helpful!
I got a food scale to measure my meals and portion control.
Love it! That's my next video that's posting this week :)

Did you follow the instructions in this video to calculate?
As an endormoph body type, I want to lose fat do you recommend me be on a keto calorie deficit ?
Keto isn’t necessary to lose weight unless you enjoy following a keto diet. Just be in a caloric deficit and get enough protein.
Thank you, Dustin. Great video, great info. It is really confusing to find out, so I am happy with you sharing this.
You're more than welcome! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help it be less confusing!

I have another video on my page specifically about weighing and measuring food.
Very helpful information!

Audio sounds much better
Glad it does! Changed up microphones 🎤
Sharing this with my friend Freddy as two trainers are better than one! He needs to eat more to lose!
Awesome! Hopefully, it helps him!
@@dustin.k.williams people think they'll lose weight by not eating. Not true! I like that you said ear as much as you can if you're still losing
If you can eat MORE food and still lose fat, why wouldn’t someone want that? 😂
@@dustin.k.williams exactly!
