    I'd like to add a little tidbit here - the bit about parking farther away at the grocery store truly does add up! One day I parked in the farthest possible spot (standard grocery store parking lot...not like an Ikea parking lot lol) and by the time I did my QUICK grocery run for a couple items and got back home, I had logged 1k-ish extra steps. It totally adds up. Don't feel like you have to do exercise for steps to count (that was pitfall for me for a long time!)

      It’s actually crazy how much the quality of calories matters. I lost weight by eating 1800 calories of nothing but processed food and it was miserable and I always ended up failing. Now that I’ve switched to focusing on quality calories and food that isn’t made for maximum addictiveness and cravings I’ve started shedding weight like crazy and not feeling any desire to pig out on oreos or chips like I used to

    I don't know how you popped up on my feed, but I'm glad you did! Something about you and your delivery is the ABSOLUTE best I've ever seen! I am now a new subscriber! I am 64, retired, and need to loose 80 lbs. I use to work out, but stopped. I do walk alot, but I find myself eating ALOT after 7pm, and of course doing nothing but sitting there watching TV. I am going to start watching you regularly, and begin with this calorie deficit plan. Thank you for your dedication to fitness, and I look forward to watching more of you!
    ❤️🙏👍💯

    Fantastic! So much common sense. Thank you! For the high fiber filler foods....Cucumbers, celery, pickles, blackberries, grapefruit, fresh tomatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, green beans, Homemade vegetable soup especially with cabbage if you like it. A lot of times I'm craving salt so I use sugar-free electrolyte drinks and a cup of chicken broth or other broth. Popcorn is good too as long as it's low fat and don't overeat it.

    Loving your videos. For the first time in my life I feel like I'm finally trying to make an effort on eating at a calorie deficit. So far so good (it's only been 2 weeks). I used to snack on chips, cookies, ice cream all the damn time, knowing how many calories I'm shoving in my mouth.. =x
    One thing I will say that has helped me eat salad (and now BAS ;)) is that I add croutons! They're a godsend if I'm being quite honest. I don't feel like I go crazy with the dressings either. Light Ranch, Italian Vinaigrette, etc. The ones that says it's 60-80 calories for 2 tablespoons and I use like 3 tablespoons only. Followed by a light sprinkle of croutons that might seriously only be an additional 100 calories. (I don't worry too much about being precise.) My point is.. I've been using salad as a snack that might be around 200-250 calories versus eating 10 oreos in one sitting.
    It's definitely a process. These videos help so much so thank you for that.

    Well, I think your video is very well thought out and bang on. But for me oatmeal and smoothie protein drinks really make me want to eat more. I even add one cup of raw spinach, 1 cup of mixed berries, one whole raw egg, half a banana and 1/3rd cup of greek yogurt to my smoothie. Oatmeal…I can eat the whole cow after I’m finished 2-3 cups of cooked oatmeal with half cup of Greek yogurt and 1 tbsp of honey. They kick in my hunger. Luckily, I also have self control and sometimes I eat because I know it’s time, and I should.

    Everyone always said not to eat less than 1200 calories per day; however EVERY calculator tells me to eat under 1000 to lose weight. (I’m 5’2” 63 yo 120 lbs small framed woman) mildly active but get 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day and lift light weights at least 3 days per week; have some injuries that cause me to have to use lighter weights. 😳 Any helpful info would be appreciated!!

    I appreciate this video so much. I’m working on getting better with my CD however I still have questions. As someone who rarely eats out, drinks her calories, am I to figure out the calories of every single ingredient I use in a meal? Measuring and weighing every fruit and vegetable? Is there an easy tracker that isn’t going to drive me mad?

    Losing weight is as simple as a calorie deficit, and eating in a calorie deficit while eating healthy is another. Just be mindful of the aspartame in the diet stuff, it's gives me migraines.

  • @peacemaster8117

    According to the research, walking/exercising more won't burn more calories. Your body simply powers down other systems to avoid excess calorie burn and keep you at the same level you would've been at. Weight loss is 100% diet, exercise should be undertaken for other reasons.

    My TDEE is 1750 how will I be in a calorie deficit please help me😢
    I'm 20, 74kgs, target weight 60kg, 154cm tall and I'm a female. My activity level, i walk around at work since I'm a nurse and I also do growwithjo activity for 20- 30 mins.
    I honestly don't know how to do this 😭 I tend to give up very quickly because I doubt what I'm doing, wether it's correct or not.

    • @jad3415
      @jad3415 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The best way to know how to create a deficit is knowing how many calories you're currently eating. Track ALL calories from your current diet for 2 weeks and get your average. From that average create your deficit. It should be a small deficit to start (50 - 100 - 150 - 200 - 250 calories). Small changes are better than large changes. You don't want to jump to a 500 - 800 calorie deficit right away. You can slowly increase your deficit over time based on how you feel. Plan your new diet or make changes to your current diet to create that deficit and follow the steps in this video to help make good choices.
