- After 8 months of comments asking to make this video, it's finally here. Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are without a doubt the hardest games to catch all the regional Pokemon, and today we're going to figure out if we can catch them all in under 24 hours. This video took a lot of time and effort to put together, so I'd really appreciate it if you shared this with a friend. If you have any suggestions for the next video, leave it in the comments below! So let me get this straight....
You need an event Regigigas to make the other Regis spawn to catch Regigigas in game...

The only reason i got regigias in my one playthrough of Diamond is because I imported my regis that I got painstakingly from gen3. I think thats how youre supposed to do it too, meaning Regigigas is probably the most time consuming legendary to catch in any game.
Aside from maybe Landurus?

@@ordinarytree4678 Yeah prior to ORAS, it was impossible to get Regigigas with only one cartridge. You needed to transfer the three Regis from RSE to DPPt to get it in those games, and in B2W2, you needed to use Unova Link to send over a key to be able to get them all in the same game.

@Luca-Robert Stewart you're supposed to send them from Hoenn, but they added the event in Platinum to make it possible without a GBA game. The act of catching a Pokemon is more exciting than being given one, so the ability to catch the 4 regis in an event is a much more exciting way of describing it than saying that you are given a regigigas to gain the ability to catch regigigas
I remember when I was going to catch Dialga for the first time in Platinum and I used a Timer Ball because hes the time Pokémon...
And it actually worked first try in 3 turns :D

@@slimeheadgamer3569 so many more Pokemon in the category of why am I willingly to do this challenge. Although HeartGold and SoulSilver are some of the harder games especially if you use the pokewalker nothing says pain like a Dratini before the first gym.

I mean.... Cynthia has like 4 different pokemon that can screw over Torrterra, before we even mention ice-types In general. Infernape has better coverage than the other two put together and even without good coverage close combat and flare blitz generally just don't give a shit, like seriously I hit Cynthia's garchomp with a flare blitz and it took half its HP. And Empoleon just has great typing so it can tank. The only thing grassy boi really has going for him is that he's immune to electric.

Yeah, in runs like this it's always advisable to keep a really low power move like Tackle/Pound to use to catch Pokemon until you can get False Swipe.

I love this gen so much, it’s so chill. The slowness just really fits with me, I take whole days to complete games with how much I stop and smell the roses. The snow regions were my favorite! I recognize these are mostly flaws that really irritate most people, of course it isn’t perfect, but sinnoh will always be near and dear in my heart. 💖

I think Gen 5 should be split between the sequels since they're so vastly different and there are so many Unova Pokemon anyway
There are 156 Unova Pokemon, 4 are Mythical and 9 are Legendary so only 143 Pokemon to work towards which is less than Kanto's 146

@@fotu7957 He only catches the pokemon introduced in the games the video is on as in he only caught the gen 4 pokemon in this video. It doesn't matter how many non-gen5 pokemon were added in B/W2 because he wouldn't catch them anyway. Unless i'm misunderstanding your comment there isn't any reason to make a B/W and B/W2 video because they both have the same pokemon needed to catch. Infact B/W2 has less Unova pokemon than the originals
Zorua and Zoroark are event only in BW1, but in BW2 you get a zorua for free.
@@dawnsbuneary True, but Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus are not in BW2. He wouldn't do separate videos for BW and BW2 and will only need to play BW2 to get the Zorua as a lot of Unova pokemon are locked until the post game in BW2, which would waste time trying to get to anyway.

I tried to find the level 100 magikarp, I found the shiny first.
4 days is pretty impressive.
4 days for shiny in pre-gen 6 games is pretty damn good. I tried for arbok for a week and gave up bc how hopeless it felt. That's the extent of any serious shiny hunting I've done other than breeding for a shiny charmander, full odds in SS, got it on the 57th egg; it was insane.
Hey man you got off a lot better than I did, started Diamond when I was like 6, I know, playing the most unforgiving pokemon game as a 6 y/o was not the smartest move. Granted I didn't know that at the time but still. I didn't actually finish Diamond until I was 16 having roflstomped every generation before and after 4, beat Pokémon Sun, gave up on Ultra Sun because its literally the same boring game, that I finally returned to Pokémon Diamond after not even touching it once in 10 years, reset the game from my roadblock at Cynthia so I could play through without only leveling Infernape (because lets be honest Infernape gets the best coverage out of all the gen 4 starters) curve-stomped Cynthia, and eventually obtained all the pokemon in Diamond, even the events because im cheeky like that and use the void...… its been a long 11 years since I started that shit.... still my favorite game out of all of them. Since then I've beaten it 5 or times. Times like this when I remember that when I was 6 and first trying out the game I actually reset my game because I thought I needed Dig to climb up something I needed Rock Climb for. Good times.

Doing that right now it's absolutely painful. So many Pokemon in the category of why am I willingly doing this challenge! It only took me two weeks to get everybody leveled up to face the first gym. pickup is broken.

@@pokedude720 the only problem with Feebas will be the fishing part. Quite a few dry flavored berries you just need to catch a Feebas modest or calm. Generation 4 Feebas is way harder to obtain.

The "Feebass Pond" in Mt. Coronet has multiple Febass squares per day; plus the dry Poffins are still easy to make and just like with yours, mainly just requires calm/modest.
Kyle Lundgren The Feebas tiles change every day in Gen 4 whereas in Gen 3 they're static until you change your phrase.
Minor nitpick: the Razor Claw is actually also available as a hidden item in the Veilstone Galactic HQ in the room Cyrus is in. This might be just Platinum, though.

I think gen 5 would be vastly worse, considering the new exp gain system applied and the levels in which pokemon evolve. So many pokemon evolve only around level 50, it's absurd. Someone did this run already though, and it took almost 400 hours. Not viable by any stretch. But since we all love to see john suffer through hell and beyond for our masochistic pleasure, I bet one day he will do it.

I got pearl 3 days ago, played 9 hours and have 2 gym badges, i'm playing it very slow. I talk to every person, fight everyone and every pokemon.

I really like that you put up a dex counter and that you lined up the events for each game. Only thing I could say is an active timer or for you to say generally how far you were into the game at certain times

It isn't shiny, in platinum the colours of gligar are very messed up, but it's easy to see if it's shiny by looking at the superior part of its wings. Shiny gligar in platinum has a darker blue in its wings than the blue in its body, while regular gligar, the one he caught, has a purple-blue tone in its body and the wings have a much lighter colour than it.
So it's not shiny

You should do this as the professor oak challenge. That is the devil especially that you will see the exact same Pokemon and it isn't easy completing the dex before beating the gyms. I hope you see this(maybe not but) because diamond and pearl are very long games.

Well technically you could use the DNS exploit (not technically a “glitch”) to get yourself the event Regigigas, skipping the need to transfer the Regis. Just wanted to point that out.
How do you do this cause I’d love to get an arcues I never had one?
Exploiting the DNS would be considered hardware manipulation which is considered cheating by many.
