    Hi there, I own a auto 335 N54, while removing the flexplate I held the front crank bolt yet my flexplate still spun, people suspected I could of possibly unintentionally made my hub spin, well I didn’t, though they said to check it’s still atleast torqued, what’s your take?

    Excellent as ever Timm.. Just a quick question.. iDrive head unit repair/replacement.. mine is a CCC & is fine, but it is old tech, and I don’t have Bluetooth or an Aux input, which is a bit frustrating. What are your thoughts on these replacement 8.8 Android 10.0 Operating Systems, XTRON? Reviews from those who have fitted them seems mixed..

      Thanks! Sorry, but I tend to keep my cars standard as far as ICE is concerned - but there has been some discussion regarding this on Bimmerforums.co.uk recently, have a search through recent posts.

    Question is there anyway to drop the service point on oil from 19000 to say 9000 or yearly ?

    Hi Tim, thanks for your video's. I watched a bunch of them! Quick question. Oil on my 2005 E63 630i has been changed recently. Service menu states 6000km for the next one. That is 3700 miles. Does that seems to be alright?

    Hi Timm, I'm in NZ, otherwise I would bring my E63 450Ci in for you to you to look at. My engine has a problem of the rpm's surging. It idles much too fast, around 1200 rpm. Sometimes when it is not quite up to full temperature, the idle will drop back to 500rpm. Any ideas ?

      I have heard of this a few times now - and one fix is to delete the engine adaptations using INPA - I have not done this myself but have heard of it done with good results

    Hi. Is this the same for 2004 645ci?

  • @martinchamberlain647

    Hi Timm, Thanks for that. Last week my brakes suddenly over a just few miles seemed to lose a lot of their servo assistance. I can still brake safely, the fluid level is fine, the pads aren't worn out, but I don't half have to press the pedal hard to stop quickly. Any ideas anyone what might be wrong? (2006 E63 650i 103K miles. Thanks 🙂

      @TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Martin, the brake assistance is vacuum powered, so check the line that runs from the vacuum pump to the brake servo, these do split.

      @@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation Thanks Timm, I really appreciate that you replied to me. I will check that pipe out for splits and take it from there.

    Wow 19,000 miles between oil changes. BMW must expect people to add oil? mine would be empty by then
