I just reset the brake pad light like 4 days ago. Having watched other videos I think yours is the best. Great explanation, I advise other E60 drivers to do it with this guide and not wait 3 months of hearing the stupid chime every time you get in your car like I did.

Mark I need your help I do all my own maintenance and take pride in fixing my e60 m5 2006. As I was taking the family out on a night cruise I got hit with a couple codes first being Increased emissions along with the service engine light , also rear breaks need to be changed. It's to dark to do a real good quality inspection of the exhaust system but I did not see anything loose and everything was solid and sound. Could it be down pipe 🤔. I was thinking in the morning just to undo the battery terminals and reset everything and then take it on a drive and see what comes about

Hi mark .i have a ignition issue in my e60 2008 525i. When i first instill my fob my screen starts up but 3/4 seconds it shows bmw logo then shuts down . I can still go to engine start stage check lights and start car just cant have any radio or ac while parked without full ignition on . It must adjust somehow . I hope that made sence.

No, the service light will come on but that is different than the CEL which means troubles.

Hi, thanks for the info, I’ve just fitted a new dpf filter and exhaust gas temperature sensor to my 520d E61 and keep getting two fault codes coming up plus the dpf warning symbol being displayed on the I drive .
If any body has this problem the codes are 452A and 4D4A which I think means that the dpf has reached its mileage limit set by BMW.
I will have a go at resetting it as per your video tomorrow, I will try and let you know how I get on, thanks, Chris
