I'm now tempted to edit a dateline nbc style cut of some of these clips hahaha "You ever watch Twitch.TV?...You ever see to catch a scrub, the internet show? Well I'm Diaphone with Twitch.TV and we're doing a story. Now if there's anything else you'd like to say, you can go ahead...otherwise you're free to walk out of this chat."
This immediately made me picture samuel L jackson barging in the door of a hard stuck gold player screaming *'Jump again, motherfucker I double dare you.'*
I just want to say, I really appreciate the extra effort in these videos where you splice in examples of "the answer" to whatever you're talking about, or otherwise explaining a mechanic with a really good visual aid.
It might be worth doing a follow-up video, in a few months, on some of these players too. I'd be great to see if any of them improved. This was a really great video!
Love these videos. I like how non-aggressive your attitude typically is towards these... individuals *cough* scr...ubs *cough* ... And you offer genuine advice to help them get better. It is both helpful in possibly identifying these qualities in yourself and literally helpful in the advice you follow up with in the examples you show.
This series reminds me of all those science communicators who use flat earthers as a vehicle to teach people all kinds of things, from trigonometry, to optics, and more. The training mode examples are awesome. Thank you!
Turning this low hanging fruit into some top grade content is amazing. From the editing to the in game example and of course the Ace Attorney bit 10/10. Keep it up, great stuff.
These legit help me with what im doing wrong, like using DI too much in my case, or other routes that I havent thought of. Keep these up my dude, they're pretty fun and informative. Funformitive.
This series is so good. Mostly because it makes me feel better about being bad and salty, but the fact you talk about options/frame data and other stuff and then immediately showcasing your point is so helpful
Great video! I’m not gonna lie I used to be like these people. Always complaining and trash talking the other player. Over time I learned that it’s just me who has the skill issue. And it’s all thanks to diaphone and other FGC people I watch. Thank you.
NGL, saw the thumbnail and thought you were just gonna shit on scrubby quotes, and felt it was out of character. Really liked what you did with it, constructive criticism ftw! Keep it up.
This is pretty close to Harstem's "Is it IMBA or do I suck?" series, and I think that would be a great thing to adapt for you as well! You can have people send in complaint forms with their scrubby messages and then you decide if they have a pt about game balance or if they just suck
❤ For sure, especially yesterdays dsp live.. which many people laughed and clipped for fourty minutes straight.. doodyStreams and Snort Hogan both have all the highlights from yesterday(sunday night sept 3rd)
@@NavaDownSouthhe loves to say they didnt earn the win, after he loses.. he also loves to say the game has lag switches and droppes inputs.. and just bought controllers twice... one for xbox and one for ps5 for sf6.. 😂 and he blames the controller again
Yes yes! 14:50 totally agree this is a great format for bite-sized situational lessons..and hilarious detective work. Great Detective Diaphone letsgoooool
Great video. I think the problem has always been ego, these people think they’re decent and when what they’re doing doesn’t work, instead of looking at themselves and improving they blame the game, the character, the opponents character, the control scheme, the weather, whether they were drunk, the hardware and on and on. These people are always hard stuck in like plat or gold because they never get better they just complain, yet mentally they think they’re master rank and the only reason they’re not officially is the game conspiring against them.
Honestly the best series in the FGC right now, I fucking love scrub quotes. Also, LOTS of Modern players can do inputs, but have realized that being able to get guaranteed moves and 1 frame supers is worth losing a few normals. We still do motion inputs too. If you get cooked by a Modern Juri, it might be me.
i have made scrub quotes (not online) to friends and alot of it is definitely not wanting to take responsibility for my own fuck-ups. this series is helping me introspect
My sf6 scrub quotes is that DI makes the corner so scary, one button anti airs are made purposefully to lose to cross up so that weak players won't get bullied in the corner and I hate the fact that Guile gets the most out of this cuz if you position to avoid cross ups he's going to spam booms even from the corner and you're forced to take risks just to get the offense going even after you corner him.
I think the first guy was saying JP sucks as in sucks to *play against* catse you notice he git smoked by a JP a bunch before that kimberly These videis are really cool btw! I like the persoective of reviewing mid level matches from people with some kind of misubderstanding, it creates a lot of good learning opportunities fir those of us struggling to learn or just break through a plateau of our own.
That Gold Dee Jay was definitely doing shenanigans trying to bully the silver player with DI's. It worked too though. I start doing that in ranked sometimes, and when I realize it. it's time for me to get off.
As someone who has a really bad pc that is old and damaged, the main reason I love sf6 is that my fps and mouse quality and resolution doesn’t really matter and I’ve been able to hit diamond 4 on multiple characters despite running on a computer that sometimes crashes when too many things are on the screen. People complaint about “pc advantage” are salty
DPS couldn't get out bronze rank since SF4, don't think he's going to rank any higher in SF5 and SF6 atm. 🤣🤣🤣 As for LTG, sure he mastered his characters in ranks but losing is what he can't stand.
@@FTNS743 Both DSP and LTG have reached master rank. But DSP is a werid case. I mean he plays like a scurb, but his opponents are so weak and he still wins more than losses. 😂
You are missing the entire tier around G4/5 where the strat is back up into the corner and then use an advancing special (dragon lash/cannon strike etc) to catch someone walking forward on you. It's a learning experience for sure! You underestimate the cheese that goes on in lower ranks.
I played both Sf4 & Sf5 , and in both games i felt so salty loosing to a stupud tactics, in 4 it was the wake up vortex and unblockables. In 5 it was the Vtrigger activation and the 2 touch death from that. In 6 I'm never salty, It has been a while since I felt yea this move is scrubby, or This player is a scrub that beat me .. It's always, I lost to this specific strategy that I can learn how to deal with it , that's why I love this game so much .. I'm literally always happy, win or lose
The evolution of this series is to become "To Catch a Scrub" and just show up to their house and force them to learn how to anti-air
"have a seat" *drive rushes*

The AA music really makes the segment.

Yea I really appreciated that too

I love the way you cut to training mode to show the interaction you were talking about in the match. It really ties together those 2 parts of the game

6:45 nailed it. Ryu ends in H DP for damage and a good knockdown that allows for meaty DR 6HP / 6MP per the example.
Literally learned this day 1 and I keep reusing that example in vids because Ryu's the only character I've played LOL
