I love how all the Japanese think I-No is so good solely because they have to keep fighting Daru. Imagine warping an entire region's tier list and flipping a character from bottom tier to top tier. THAT SAID, as an I-No, i think she's really good this patch. (I mean, i haven't played 1.43 yet but she's probably still solid, just a little less damage/has to do slightly different combos.) That ABA was crazy. Remember to start your punish combos with c.S! It's free damage and 100% proration!
That I-No vs Millia Match Up was one of the coolest Sets to watch, that I've Seen. Really makes me Wish i could Pilot either of those characters but I'm Just to Bad to make them work.
I don't mind seeing more derusting with I-No. That charakter is the reason I started watching Diaphone lol. The I-no Boss Theme from X2 was fitting as a song in the final round
As a Millia player, I was looking forward to what the Millia had to offer so that I could learn from them. I didn't expect for them to go and take the set, though. GGs, this was some juicy I-No content.
As a certified “Trash” I-no player I’m really enjoying the derusting arc! keep up the improvement and you will be winning evo, or not… anyways loving the ggst vids!
I would like to mention how Bridget and A.B.A are also botom 10 or almost botom 10 in every American tierlist and that guy's tierlist A.B.A is to top 10 and Bridget is only 4 position under the 10th best character.
Honestly have only made one combo this season but after watching a crazy video on reddit today (literally just doing 6js into chemical love as a loop until wall break)and this i think I'm gonna start hitting the lab.
Diaphone I don't know if you do your own editing but 45:50 is where you should look to optimize if you are trying add WA to your pressure. Like reset situation where you have such a clear meter advantage that if you ball out? you'll actually most likely build 50 and maul him to death before they can actually play. But because you went for the normal season 2 ino stagger reset into hoverdash? anji could play the game. God forbid you started this with an FRC guess instead of RC guess.... yeah he's simply not allowed to guess until he's going through that wall or i make him.
Lucy should fight with a gun. Maybe some grenades. Though given she’s mainly a netrunner they’ll have her use her monowire and inflict status effects with her hacks. As long as she feels like Cyberpunk though I’m fine with whatever Arcsys has in mind
Is there a point in trying to get into Guilty Gear right now? Or is it too late? Like, maybe the new installment is coming soon or something? I never played anime fighters like this, so it would be like learning from scratch. But the game looks so much better than SF6 design for example.
Okay Diaphone serious question. I'm kinda new to strive, been playing for about a month but I have some experience in other fighting games so I'm sitting around floor 8-9. How the actual hecc do you block I-no???? Like for example, the overhead at 28:29 Is it just me or is that like straight up impossible to react to. If it's a skill issue please let me know but I've been getting cooked by I-no players and I just cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm suppose to do on defense aside from spend some type of meter to deflect shield or yrc
@@sandstorm7790 Not Diaohone but: it is unreactable (if she wants it to be). You have to fuzzy block and rhythm block. When she's dashing up it'll probably be one or more highs followed by one or more lows. Block high, then as you see her descending you block low. There are specific patterns to her attacks, based on what her abilities allow her to do. She can then mix things up further (easiest is empty hover -> low) to catch you based on your rhythm. Good luck!
^this but honestly goal is to not let ino get a knockdown in the first place. All of her get in tools have risk / are - so if you block you can take your turn. Blocking Ino is very hard, but on floor 8-9 just mash backdash and most Ino can’t deal with it lol
Both of you are goated, thanks. I'm still in the knowledge check phase cus I only really know what like 4 maybe 5 characters actually do so anything less common cooks me. Been trying to learn more about all the characters and more specific counter plays because this game seems very heavy on giving every character one or two REALLY strong tools that are pretty much unique to them so I just gotta learn the hard way lol
Why did you only block low against aba in jealousy? Does the overhead not give as much? It seemed like you were winning until your opponent realized thry had a free way to open u up
Cause I suck at guessing vs aba lol (she has multiple lows and her overhead is “riskier” to go for so I do think you should weight low block higher, but obviously I could have rotated options better)
I'm so tired of Japanese players ranking characters based on players. Daru has been among the top hours played in Strive consistently since launch. The man could be making any character look that god-like if he main'ed them from the start instead. I'm convinced he plays the game in bullet-time and feels the assembly code, maybe even the straight machine code, as it's being executed through his controller at this point. He knows other people's characters better than they do. Please Daisuke, stop balancing the damn game based on an anomaly.
If you look at his matches people just play differently against him because "OH MY GOD ITS DARU I NO AAAAAA", like he just dashes around at random, spams HCL note and fully charged divekicks and is never punished for any of it. People just stand there when they'd smoke any tower I-No doing any of it if they just pressed the dash button.
I mean ... That doesn't take away from the fact that he makes work up to the top 8 consistently with her. So, if a tier list is meant to measure a character's potential versus the others, and if Daru makes use of her tools at a top level, then she is top tier. If there's a player that can make her work like that then the potential is there. Japanese players recognise this. Western players think "this character is easier so they're better" or "why play this character when this other character does this better?". It's a sad mentality that actually hinders the game somewhat. Hence the most recent patch and its focus on making characters feel unique. All of this to say Japanese players recognise the potential of the character based on where the character can be taken (like a top player's proficiency with them) and it makes much more sense than analysing a character's tools in a vacuum agains similar tools in other character's.
@@tecnomAster15 So if a player can make any character top tier, then any character can be top tier and the only point of tier lists is to designate what characters have and haven't been fully optimized yet?
I-no has one of the best designs in strive. The witchy rocker aesthetic is simply unmatched and if I was any good I'd play her all the time.
Exceptthey made every character W I D E and have ridiculous world of warcraft shoulders and shit. GG shoudl look more heroin punk.
By liking her and playing more you do naturally get good ^^

I am wide awake for this!! Welcome back to I-No she is so much more fun than before.
I'm laying in bed with the flu and appreciate the I-no gameplay, great job as always Diaphone

Hearing an Ino say "shoulda guessed right on the third overhead" is crazyyyyy
The Casino Park music after yelling "Never stop gambling" is a nice touch, Mr Editor. 😊
You've inspired me (again) to try (again) to get good at i-no (again)
You can burst pretty liberally with Anji because his defense is so high that you'll just get it back when you need it anyway.
I-No + Bayonetta OST. It just works
Perfect timing, I just swapped to I-no a few days ago and have been loving her :D
