Thanks so much for posting this video and perfect instructions. I used it to replace the actuator in my 2006 Yukon Denali. You saved me $685. I got the part for $15 from Amazon. Stealership wanted $700 to repair this.

I love reading feedback like this. It's ridiculous what shops want to charge for something so simple that we can do ourselves. I'm glad my video was helpful and thanks for commenting. It lets me know people are still watching. 👍

Bravo. I paid $124 from a local auto parts store for my actuator but using this video I effortlessly and successfully installed it myself. If you knew how inept I am when it comes to automotive DIY you would all be inspired to do this repair yourself.

Ben! Dude, great video. I just replaced my actuator so easily after watching your video once. Thank you for making this and doing it so well. Totally not intimidating even for myself, a stay at home mom of four. Thanks again!

The repair shop told me $600 to fix this!! After I watched your video and you told me it was a "baby job" I bought the part for $25 and some change on carparts.com. Now this soccer mom is ready to roll!! Thanks for believing in me!

I could not have done it without your video. Thanks a bunch. The part quote I got in Canada was $600 bucks so when I gambled on the $25 version online I was not sure it would work. Happy to say it's working perfectly.

Very informative. Didn't miss anything out, and the view on the whole mechanism is clear to see what is being done as you do it. Swapped my whole assembly out in about 20min. 30min if you count putting the trim pieces back on since those can be stubborn.

Ben, you did a great job explaining how to do this... plus, your video on how to remove interior tailgate panels. I thank you, so much, for I have just finished replacing the actuator in 2005 Escalade, following your instructions! Overprice the part - yeah, I got charged $440 for the actuator and plate. Fuckers were too lazy to take the actuator off and replace just that, then they hosed me bigtime on the part.

I just ordered an Actuator from Amazon and I should have it tomorrow. Maybe I'll do a Video and see it takes less than a day, lol.
I already have the Panels off, checked the Fuse.. it's good and when I stand at the Actuator and hit the Remote, no sounds, so I'm assuming the Actuator took a crap.... it won't Lock.

Very good vide...When the lady stated see if it works you should have tested outside w/rear hatch DOWN, now we'll never know if it truly works, and have some doubts about the money and time invested. The wires will hang in a natural setting once you take part out and replace being they were like that for years(2005) right.

BEN JAMIN, My rear power window opens when you press the latch, the lift gate just don't open when I press the latch.. nor opens when I use the remote or ceiling button.. only the window releases

If you hear a click then the actuator does work, no need to replace just fix. There is a video on that on you tube.

Great video. I didn’t take a picture like a dummy. When I took actuator off 2 plastic pieces fell out. One I saw you put back on in video but the other one was super small black piece that looks like its part of the actuator. Do you know where it goes...?

Great video, Ben. Made it easy to replace the actuator. SOooo, I replaced it and the new one worked for about 10 cycles and stopped. Sent it back in and ordered another from a different source. this one worked for about 2 weeks. Now it doesn't work any longer. Looks like it also has blown the 10A fuse labeled ECC (on the left side of the dash). I've heard that there are two fuses or a fuse and a breaker. Can you shed light on this?
