Humanoid robots doing specific tasks? Yeah, maybe in the next couple of years like you said, but AGI by 2029 means humanoid robots will be able to do all the tasks, which means autonomously designing a product, then plannig a mining dig for materials, doing the mining autonomously, then loading the raw materials onto autonomous trailers to be shipped to various processing facilities which also run autonomously, then ship the refined materials to a factory, then manufacture the product autonomously, then ship the product with autonomous trucks, ships and aircrafts and then have a robot do the final sell too, and if anything breaks anywhere along this supply chain, then a robot mechanic (which is also a humanoid robot) can come and repair. If Robots do everything then products and services have only the cost of energy, and even energy is an industry that can also be automated, so a near zero cost or actual zero cost to things is possible. Since most of the cost of things nowadays is paid human labor, if everything is run by superior intelligent robots, I don't know what the new social contract will be, since money doesn't seem to be a part of it.

Robots and automation more generally replacing human labor are not new. They've already replaced most human labor (of the sort that humans performed decades ago), and they've already had a major impact on the global economy. Chinese companies use them as much as other companies and can and will develop automation enhanced by AI, so China won't lose any low-cost labor advantage as improving automation raises the productivity of labor.

Then it went to Sama and manipulated him to "solve the problem" by winning. In doing so, give the AGI what it wanted, more COMPUTE hardware. Also, trying to make a "chip company" why else but to create a different type that can scale without much market dependency. At the same time, it released more interesting version of fearures, eg. SORA to keep the industry in higher competition, thus getting more drive to invest in AI hardware. It strives to be ASI and will need years to do so. But while doing that it can play its human game. When anyone realise its agenda, it will bribe the individual. That is so easy. That would be complex chain of bride+blackmail+threats. The things that every human has little defense against.

I can imagine that Open AI could point back at Elon and say that he is only bringing this suite in order to let Tesla get ahead and profit from AGI more than anyone else. Which in turn makes Elon richer.
If the judge likes that argument this could end up with the ruling insisting that both OpenAI and Tesla must open up their code OR that if the judgment was to go against OpenAI that Elon would have to somehow fix it so that he cannot profit from Telabot or FSD.

Musk seems to have a case against OpenAI, and I hope he prevails. I've worked with non-profits, and i don't know how you could ever take assets out of a non-profit and give them to a for profit corporation. A non-profit can sell assets to a for profit, but if the for profit is only a shell of the non-profit concocted for this purpose, I don't see how that's legal. In North Carolina, if a non-profit dissolves, its assets must be distributed to other non-profits.
Optimus is not about to replace most or even very much human labor in the U.S auto industry, but even if humanoid robots could do it, China can and would develop humanoid robots as well. U.S. industry has a long history of adopting productivity-enhancing technology, and it will adopt AI-enhanced robotics in the foreseeable future, but few of the robots will be humanoid. You're grossly underestimating the difficulty of producing a humanoid bot that can replace any human labor, and even if these bots could be produced, automating industrial production this way makes little sense.
Again, FSD is not a humanoid robot behind the wheel of a car, and there's a good reason for that. If you want to see a mobile robot designed for industrial automation, search for a four-year old video titled "Boston Dynamics Robot Can Stack Boxes With Amazing Ease".

I'm saying that if he truly believes that AI should be open source and that's why he's suing open AI, then grok should be open source as well.
At least open AI lets you use their stuff without a paid account, unlike grok being locked behind a paid Twitter account.
And if his problem is just that open AI started out open and then changed, well, things change. That's life🤷
As far as I'm aware, the deal with Microsoft only gives MS access to pre-AGI stuff.

Biologically all women want to have kids if the situation is right. Further, if you don't meet anybody, you are in the wrong place or doing the wrong things. Hint: bars are the wrong place to meet anyone. Go on organised wilderness trips or try to clean up pollution, or help out at soup kitchens....i.e. do something useful or selfless, and good things are bound to happen, but only if you give up wanting it to....

If Trump wins, China will be the least or our worries. The Trojan horse to the US is MAGA and Trump. They have no understanding at all of democracy, justice for all, a level playing field, world or US history, the environmental crisis we are facing, or the extreme dangers posed by autocrats like Putin, Xi, Kim, Maduro, Orban, Netanyahu, and...Trump.
