Me and my buddy met Max at Walmart on colfax ave around 2007 and he was the most down to earth dude in the world ever. It was a true pleasure to meet him as there was a huge trailer off of shiitty ass colfax ave and he took time out of his day to say hello to me and my brother. Took pictures with us and casually shopped like a normal person not knowing how much it meant to us. One of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I’ll never forget our interaction. I should have payed him for how beautifully he treated me and my friend. ❤ ❤❤❤

If I recall correctly, the original band broke up after Is a Real Boy and everything Max has released since has ranged from good to unlistenable. This album, however, is one of the landmarks of rock music in the 2000s. So much ambition and uncomfortable honesty paired with catchy and anthemic songwriter. Man….

Indeed, its very beautiful. I think he's just singing about how love can live through very dark times and how he will never stop the passion of love no matter how crap things gets. His grandparents were holocaust survivors so thats what inspired him to write it in perspective of someone trying to love someone through the holocaust

Indeed, its very beautiful. I think he's just singing about how love can live through very dark times and how he will never stop the passion of love no matter how crap things gets. His grandparents were holocaust survivors so thats what inspired him to write it in perspective of someone trying to love someone through the holocaust
