IMO if on a budget, Rogue is a no-brainer. If you are getting into the $40K range, the CRV Hybrid becomes very interesting, but base engine and base trims the Rogue is just nicer and better performing.
@@zl1David Since when? Motortrend did a compact SUV shootout, and it rated the Rogue above the CRV, with one of the main differentiators being the excellent ride of the Rogue. The Rogue has fully independent wishbone suspension front and rear, and unlike the CRV that uses cheap stamped steel which is common for cheaper vehicles, the Rogue uses aluminum like you see on a BMW or Mercedes for less unsprung weight.

A rogue doesn't handle roads well at all like a crv does imo.
