    The problem with Honda North America is they're releasing washed down versions of Honda's. Look at the CRV's from overseas , they are packed with way more features.

    I think Nissan has swung a huge hit with their upgrades in interiors. But unfortunately, that VC-T 3cyl engine is having serious issues, and the JATCO CVT isn't as refined nor as reliable as the Honda unit. And the CRV does look better and will age more gracefully.
    Honda FTW...

    If these two, Rogue would be my choice.
    1. Better outlook especially the sideview, "small" SUV has "big" car feeling.
    2. Better tech. features.
    3. Better dashboard and upholstery materials.
    4. Better ride quality especially lower dB when riding.
    While Nissan does not have good resell value because of inadequate and poor marketing back in 1980s, besides its last generation of CVT ruined its brand image.
    The only concern today is the reliability and durability of its VC turbo engine. Let's wait and see more before buy.

    My 2021 Rogue SL is still smooth as new now at 42.5K miles. And yes, Rogue interior and functionality are way better than CRV.
    Dual view camera with 360 and pano moonroof are a game changer. It's 2024 now and Honda can't implement those 2 simple things?
    For door handle, I personally prefer those with physical button to press instead of the haptic feedback or sensor whatever. It gives me solid assurance that the car will do what I tell it to do. My BMW X1 has that non-button touch door handle and it's finnicky. Sometimes it registers the touch, sometimes it lags, sometimes it just doesn't do anything and I have to touch it again to function.
    Not sure on the CRV, but my 2020 Civic Sport didn't have the ability to lock the doors with engine running. Real bummer.
    Rouge just checks all the boxes on functionality and looks for me.
    On the rear end looks, I hate that lights on CRV that look like Volvo. Whatever their philosophy is, can they not come up with a different look?
    But the front end looks better than the Rogue imo.
    On fuel economy, let's use a 12K miles/year scenario and regular gas price of $4/gal (around DC MD VA area).
    Rogue will consume 387.10 gals at 31 mpg average = $1,548.38/year.
    CRV takes 324.32 gals at 37 mpg average = $1,297.30/year.
    Difference is $251.09/year or $21/month extra expenses for Rogue.
    Is it a significant difference?

    In my opinion this is the best looking CR-V to date. Both use CVT transmissions, and Honda has had very few issues with their CVT according to consumer reports. the CR-V hybrid uses a 2.0 non turbo engine that is very reliable. Nissan uses a 1.5 turbo 3 cylinder. My money is on the CR-V, no contest.

I've been very pleased with the CR-V thus far.

    One thing to consider it's way more easier to negotiate on a Nissan Rogue. For example a 2024 Platinum edition in New England area, a dealership offered me $5300 off of MSRP. I'm pretty sure another dealership would beat that to at least $5500-$6000 off MSRP. I never negotiated a Honda but I can bet you they will not knock that much off MSRP. So take this into consideration yes Rogue a bit more $ however if you play it smart and be aggressive negotiating you will be under a CRV in price and that will help with the depricaition in the future

    • @jefff7287
      @jefff7287 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I did the math on this. Even though yes the Rogue costs less upfront, the gas savings over even just five years is enough to make the CR-V hybrid less expensive. Then add in the better resale value for the CR-V and it really is no contest longer term.

  • @bigd7386
    @bigd7386 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The point scale for pricing needs to be reconsidered, because value should be taken into account. Yes the Rogue costs more fully loaded, but it also has way more features... honestly you would think the price gap is bigger. So overall the Rogue is a much better value especially considering you could get the SL and still have a considerable amount more features at a cheaper price. And these are features that impact daily use, not just gimmicks. Honda made major cost cuts with this gen CR-V, dropping features while jacking up the price.

      @@charlesjackson1700 trust me its probably because they aren’t use to driving a CVT pr a 3 cylinder.. The Accord and CRV are worst .. Also know the fact that they were expecting more power ?! Its a 3 cylinder and its not a SRT sUv .. They could always get a Pathfinder or some other brand ..
      They can get a GM or Ford .. Lol

    I’d go for the Kia Sportage HEV. Better looking, better price, better MPG, better warranty, better engine etc etc.

    Nissan should only be compared to Hyundai or Kia . They’re similar brands in terms of relaibility issues and depreciating.
    Honda should be compared to Mazda and Toyota only .
