I'd toss the Galakrond package into a Quest Warrior setup. Now you have the Galakrond triggers AND your weapons to complete the quest and trigger the reward hero power. Galakrond, the card, is there to help you finish the job, but should be a dead draw most of the time.
I think ramming speed is being underrated. Supercollider is good and all, but after the first swing your opponents just play around it. I often times found myself getting great value only out of the first hit. Ramming speed is two mana cheaper and you dont take any damage. I'll definitely give the card a shot as i think it's better than 1 star.
I honestly find the idea of Quest Galakrond Shaman completely outlandish and I'm absolutely certain this is not going to be a thing a month into the expansion. Also, control warlock and cubelock eviscerating the meta for half a year "used to be almost tier 3"?
Well, fair enough, I retrospectively underrated impact of kobolds cards on the control lock. But as far as quest galakrond deck, it's simply absurd as an idea. The whole point of quest shaman is to get to the upgraded hero power to enable your mediocre battlecry cards, the second you play galakrond, you lose your double battlecry hero power, rendering all the remaining cards in your deck average at best. It becomes more of a midrange deck with a guaranteed slow start. And when you think about specific matchups, with this version you might have slightly better game against some rogues if they don't have saps for 8/8s, and it's definitely better against druids but every single other matchup gets worse. No longer can you take the long game against control warriors, ressurrect priests, highlander mages, you are still weak against minion-based aggrodecks like aggro warrior or combo priest (which are getting even stronger) and now you are even getting outvalued by highlander hunters and paladins. And yes, you can just not play galakrond but then why put him in the deck in the first place? Makes for two (him and kronx) dead cards in many matchups.
This may be news to some people but it turns out you can play warrior death wing in decks that are not dragon warrior, even though it has the dragon tag!! Shocking right?
Nithogg a bit of a disappointment, wish shaman got a good control dragon to fit with the other two. I believe it will see play in galakrond shaman that doesn't use the quest. While it's better than the original, quest cant really afford a non battlecry
depends on the quest? for shaman in this case, getting that big swing of 4 8/8's is worth giving up the quest reward (in some cases) i think i'd honestly rather complete priests quest AFTER playing galakrand xD as well as rogues.
quallhunter and lightningbolt deal 5, cumulo deals 10, scalerider deals 4, its just gonna be overload+quest burn shaman when you give a class as agressive as shaman literally a non legendary 7 mana pyroblast there is gonna be a burn deck. has to
It kind of is and I personally think that deck will be a bit clunky. The reason why people are hyped is because the shaman galakrond package is just really good standalone, and galakrond himself summoning 4 8/8s with rush is really really strong as a finisher.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks pirate warrior won't be that powerful. The deck looks like it will run out of steam by the mid game. Very similar to secret paladin in RoS. To be fair, card draw/ generation like Town Crier, Frightened Flunky, and Quarter Master seem like great additional fuel to let the deck keep plowing through, but it doesn't look like enough. The deck will flop.
lesiegelad the new weapon plus the weapon re-summoner plus battle rage plus the things you mentioned plus the new hero I think it might have more steam then you think
@@dragonlogos1 oddly enough, after playing for 7 hours, I only bumped into pirate warrior once or twice. It seemed to have quite a bit of fuel with it's lackey generation. Seems decent, but I think shaman right now absolutely spanks warriors tiny minions.
The warlock galakrond could technically have a higher potential in wild Except since he summons 2 imps at after each invokation he destroy's blood reaver Gul'dan's demon pool
Yeah if you play Bloodreaver Guldan chances are, you include it to resummon a handful of really powerful demon, and that's actively counter Galakrond's invoke / hero power
I've made this prediction in a handful of videos and forum posts but I'm predicting that after 3-4ish weeks, Shaman is going to receive some form of nerf. As to the nature of the nerf, I'm unsure. If I was to guess, probably something to do with their quest. Regardless, I think Shaman has been too consistently dominant for too long and after the xpac when Blizzard realizes that Shaman will continue to be dominant even after everyone gets a slew of new cards, they'll take the step of last resort and actually nerf some of their cards in an effort to bring them in line. That's just my prediction, I could be completely wrong and there may be some deck out there that completely craps all over Shaman, preventing what I'm describing from actually happening. We'll have to wait and see.
CasmX Predicting that IF the same class reigns too long it will be nerfed AFTER A MONTH? Dude, just as an insight, usually you predict things not likely to happen. It's not a prediction if you first have to pass the check of shaman being top tier and then choosing a highly possible and logical event.
CasmX I'd say it's more of a feeling since Blizzard's rules aren't always to keep balance intact. Insight presupposes your precise understanding and truthfulness of your statement. And there's always the check to pass first, which shows uncertainty and thus invalidates any objective/serious type of foreseeing.
@@Luca48882 Well, whether you want to call it an insight, prediction or just common sense, it's now official. Shaman are getting nerfed, they just announced it earlier today. lolz. Though I guess I was wrong on the time-frame. I figured it'd take at least a few weeks.
CasmX I was not arguing about the content, just the way it was expressed, and that it would have made it not impressive if you actually got it right with the "if", the big time frame and a probable follow up. It would have been more impressive if you called the day one nerf, the not nerf and so on, more of a "prediction". I mean if the sky is dark and I tell you it's going to rain, would you be impressed? Technically it is a prediction, but the fact that it is logical from you point of view/knowledge makes it not impressive depending on other specifications alongside. Just nitpicking to remind that miscomprehension could happen due to laziness and improper use of the language. About the nerfs I don't really think nerfing anything so fast is right, because even if you obtain the wanted result you hardly will hit the "right" targets doing it, but I guess since this set needs to be a perfect experience to retain hs players after a lot of drama and bad metas, they just didn't care
Trump, you are missing the Galakrond + Lackeys zoo That deck is got almost exactly the right about of space and I think is much better than the grim rally + numbers plan
I don´t know why Trump says Zoo is Tier 3. "Self-damage-Zoo" is my number 1 deck to go for winrates. But I guess it falls off now, since the meta will be more aggressive and I can´t damage myself that much.
hasn't Trump literally said that every single potential control deck is gonna be unable to compete with the other, better control decks? which classes can play control, Trump? Are you talking about Control Monk, Control Death Knight and Control Demon Hunter???
cant you at least judge deathwing by itself and not "dragon warrior won't happen, therefore deathwing is bad" I think the 8 mana 12/12 could be something, it'll probably be a twisting nether when you play it or just be a big minion on board, might see play in control warrior or it might be too slow but still worth a thought instead of instantly dismissing it because dragon warrior isnt a thing
I hate shaman will all my strenght. After suffering 2 months with evolve in the meta I'll have to see 2/1rush elementals destoying my boards and 8/8 later on.
I don't think galakrond being in quest shaman would work it's hero power is way worse than the quests. It would have to be in a meta where board control is real weak because if the opponent can stablize after playing galakrond you are screwed
Trump is absolutely sleeping on Pirate Warrior. There have been several decks that were tier 1 despite relying on drawing one powerful legendary. Barnes decks, Keleseth, etc.
And poor trump just can't see that with low card draw Cumulo-maximus is terrible in aggro deck since it's just a 5 mana 55. Aggro shaman is not a thing. Not in this patch, has to be in next patch when Vanessa is about to rotation out can overload aggro shaman be a thing.
Did you just call Bloodlust "win more?" Win more implies that you don't need it. Bloodlust isn't a win-more. It's a win *condition.* It turns a board of 1/1s and 0 attack totems into 20+ damage, almost always winning the game when it's played, even if your board is trash and your opponent has almost full health. It's what enables shamans to ever be able to deal a reasonable amount of damage without just getting bogged down by a lack of board space.
@@angsleeper6588 That's exactly what I'm saying is wrong. Firstly, you don't even need them to be murlocs. Just a handful of garbage minions like spell damage and taunt totems suddenly turn into lethal damage. 5 murlocs - say, a warleader with 3 attack, a tidecaller with 5 attack, a tidehunter with 4 and a scout with 3 and a tinyfin with 3, add up to 18 attack. That's not lethal if your opponent has had any kind of life gain in the early game. Even a priest can usually tank that around turn 6. Play bloodlust and you deal 33 damage, killing them from full health. It's literally the difference between your opponent surviving, clearing your board and stabilizing (and you losing) or outright killing them and winning the game. It wins you the game even when your opponent is on a very high health total. It's the way that shaman defeats control decks that have life gain and board clears. Spam minions until a board finally sticks and bloodlust it into their face. It'ls literally your best win condition in so many matchups.

Would quest decks be discouraged to run Galakrond because it replaces the quest hero power?
depends on the quest? for shaman in this case, getting that big swing of 4 8/8's is worth giving up the quest reward (in some cases) i think i'd honestly rather complete priests quest AFTER playing galakrand xD as well as rogues.
Ooooh I can't wait to make a wild galckron dragon warrior
Just realized Zentimo is fuckin nuts with Invocation of Galakrond

If anyone has questions about my ratings feel free to ask!
quallhunter and lightningbolt deal 5, cumulo deals 10, scalerider deals 4, its just gonna be overload+quest burn shaman
when you give a class as agressive as shaman literally a non legendary 7 mana pyroblast there is gonna be a burn deck. has to
Im gonna build Highlander Quest Galakrond Shaman, will update with results
Is bandersmosh not a murloc?
Oh yeah I'm so ready as a warrior player
YAH HAR, SHIVER ME TIMBERS!
isnt galakrond anti-synergy with shaman quest?
@@dragonlogos1 yeah but the steam sucks. Also you are hyper reliant on 1 legendary.
@@dragonlogos1 oddly enough, after playing for 7 hours, I only bumped into pirate warrior once or twice. It seemed to have quite a bit of fuel with it's lackey generation. Seems decent, but I think shaman right now absolutely spanks warriors tiny minions.
lesiegelad yeah I agree. it is good in a vacuum but just won’t survive the meta to easy to Counter
Pirate Warrior will be tier 2. Remember there's a bunch of great neutral Pirates in this expansion
Me watching all the legends I opened getting ranked 2/3 stars...
you can open pack already
Tuấn Trần Anh OP probably went to a Fireside Gathering and opened their packs early
Tuấn Trần Anh you can start your private fireside gathering and open em, or go to an actual fireside gathering
I sure hope you're right about pirate warrior being not tier 1 :P
The warlock galakrond could technically have a higher potential in wild
Except since he summons 2 imps at after each invokation he destroy's blood reaver Gul'dan's demon pool
You wouldnt want to run both anyway, because you lose the biggest benefit of galakrond to play bloodreaver gul'dan, and vice versa.
Yeah if you play Bloodreaver Guldan chances are, you include it to resummon a handful of really powerful demon, and that's actively counter Galakrond's invoke / hero power
I think control dragon warrior will be a surprise deck
*laughs in platebreaker*
Shaman: 4 8/8 galakronds!!!
Warrior: I got aoe removal for days baby
Priest silently watching from the back
@@nickus51 mass hysteria and plague of death
@@catonaplank3429 When it comes to board clears. Warrior effectively has only Brawl and Plague of Wrath, were the first still leaves a body behind.
control warrior? *laughs in platebreaker*
What was Blizzard thinking buffing Shaman so so much, even more than they already were ...
Remember 4mana 7/7 ?
Yeah too op
Well lets make it 5/7 with +2spell dammage
4 mana 8/8 with rush
@@Luca48882 Umm, okay. Call it an insight then.
The warrior in me is rising :D
Where was this?
Maybe shamans will not go the galakrond route. Maybe they will instead take the path of coom.
I think galakrond warrior will most likely be a mid-range deck, not aggro
Wondering when this would drop
Evil Quartermaster makes it into singleton warrior but Deathwing doesn't? Interesting very interesting.
Oh heck no! My tocken galalock is gonna get me to legend
Trump, you are missing the Galakrond + Lackeys zoo
That deck is got almost exactly the right about of space and I think is much better than the grim rally + numbers plan
Looks like I am crafting Nithogg and Bandersmosh for Shaman. Trump is typically wrong.
Im so sad looking at this that warlock will still go be bottom, Thats upsetting
Handlock actually looks quite promising to me. We will have to see how the meta shapes
Has... has trump not watched the whole entire pirate warrior spam for people playing it early..? Or is trump pulling a fel reaver situation again?
Make warrior quest galakrond a thing please
The standard version will be bad. But I can't wait to play upgraded pirate warrior in wild
ToeManJon11 that’ll be fun to see. Wild Pirates vs Wild Murlocs! Who can out-aggro the other?
cant you at least judge deathwing by itself and not "dragon warrior won't happen, therefore deathwing is bad"
I think the 8 mana 12/12 could be something, it'll probably be a twisting nether when you play it or just be a big minion on board, might see play in control warrior or it might be too slow but still worth a thought instead of instantly dismissing it because dragon warrior isnt a thing
0:09 Stump the trump
Can someone please explain stump the trump to me? The timestamps always seem arbitrary, i totally dont get it
UrsaMinor yes
Nithogg has synergy with quest shaman why is it 1 star
I hate shaman will all my strenght.
After suffering 2 months with evolve in the meta I'll have to see 2/1rush elementals destoying my boards and 8/8 later on.
only if you knew...
Shaman Galakrond is the best, but it might still be worse than regular Battlecry Shaman.
You can have both packages in the same deck tho
I don't think galakrond being in quest shaman would work it's hero power is way worse than the quests. It would have to be in a meta where board control is real weak because if the opponent can stablize after playing galakrond you are screwed
Trump should wear his hair like this all the time, the side part looks much better on him then the front bangs lol
Trump is absolutely sleeping on Pirate Warrior. There have been several decks that were tier 1 despite relying on drawing one powerful legendary. Barnes decks, Keleseth, etc.
I don't know, I understand this expansion is OP, but when everything is super, nothing is in the end. So those five stars maybe won't mean anything.
Am i the onlyone seeing the power of nithogg in quest shaman? He will be atleast 2 stars i feel
cute ending scene with dance
I recall him calling Sqaullhunter OP earlier. It shows how quickly opinions can change in the opening days.
Look out Wild, Pirate Platebreaker Warrior incoming
I think Friendship Rice is decent.
3 stars warlock? oh man, look that shit AGAIN, its very good!
Quest galakrond Shaman here we come
11 comments but YT can't display them. Good job, youtube.
Can't believe he rated bloodfen raptor so high
Did you just call Bloodlust "win more?"
Win more implies that you don't need it.
Bloodlust isn't a win-more. It's a win *condition.* It turns a board of 1/1s and 0 attack totems into 20+ damage, almost always winning the game when it's played, even if your board is trash and your opponent has almost full health. It's what enables shamans to ever be able to deal a reasonable amount of damage without just getting bogged down by a lack of board space.
if you've got 5 more murlocs on board than your opponent you've most likely won anyway.
It'ls literally your best win condition in so many matchups.
quest shaman with even better burst battlecry SMOrc
Why was this uploaded after the neutrals review? I'm confused
Something something technical difficulties. Also Neutrals were uploaded twice. It’s been a day
Best for last
If everything is tier 1 then nothing is tier 1.
Pirate Warrior hype!! :D
Nice hairstyle my man
This ratings really make you think about Syndrome.
valderis is definitely 5 stars lol, every late game warlock will run it, hell even zoo might run it for extra draw
Zoo wouldn't run it, too expensive for an aggressive deck, and for what? 4 cards, which if your lucky, you can play 2 of them?
