Sir, small correction here. Also blower causes Thrust(pull) towards left . As blower is sucking air (low pressure side).in this process of blower pulling the whole shaft towards left. Correct me if understood it wrong. Blower is working same as if a propeller in astern kick trying to pull transmission shaft outside of ship.
Awesome video sir, I have watched all video of yours including steering gear. Every video is unique. Big thanks to you for making video and enlightening us with your knowledge. Thank you sir
Thank You. Seen many videos of 'Synchronization of Alternators' but it is the best. It explains - what happens exactly if 'In Phase' or 'Out of Phase'; which a learner does not get to know in some of the other videos. Thanks again.
It was very useful for we pursuing cadets and it really helped us a lot in covering the basics of hydraulics. SATHISH KUMAR. K, from gme 26, HIMT college.
SIR, Really really thank you. For spending your valuable time and explaining such a hard concept in a simple way. Nobody thought me like you, sir. Will share these with my friends. Hats off to you sir!
Sir, i have nothing but respect for you right now.. Thank u so much for sharing your experiences with us through these videos... U're doing something awesome.. Please continue uploading such videos ❤
I know im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
Thank you so much. Sir, i have a question that can you please help me? The question is: in the turbine side, do we have any thrust bearing? and if we have, what does it look like? is it same to the ones in compressor side?
Thanks a lot sir. Vdio is awesome. First tym I understood these concepts so easily. Waiting for more vdio to come. Sir pls post part 2 soon. Eagerly waiting. Good wishes. ✊🏻
Thankyou so much sir for providing such a good content. All your videos are so unique in nature , I am really amazed how simply you explain the complex topics. I hope you will be making more and more videos for us in the future. I would like to request you sir if possible, may we have a video on speed droop and electronic governors from your side sir? Thankyou in advance!
Good Day sir!! Very well detail explained, As you told for cooling of bearings (Locating & Free expansion) cooled by LO delivered by the pump attached, but as the turbocharger is running how the LO gets cooled, I may be wrong but I think for blower side as it taking suction from outer atmosphere, fresh air cools the LO but Turbine side how it gets cooled?
They will still hane a thrust surface. How a thrust bearing is functioning in a ME.Ther Oil film is formed between the collar and the bearing surface. Similarly even ijn na flaoting bearing the Thrust face will take care of the axial movement ant it will be well lubricated.
sir, good day. sir, in some turbo charger we use plain bearing. And this plain bearing may be 2 types. 1) fully floating 2) semi floating in semi floating type, the bearing does not move and it is locked by a pin. sir, my question is, what is fully floating and semi floating bearing? How they work? one is moving, other is not.
@@rmetcvideos No problem sir , full is not so important what matters is the concept that is well scripted on my mind thanks for awesome and wisdom full videos.
Blower side is Locating type and Turbine side is sliding type. BUt this is only basis AB turbochargers. There are so many others where there are Journal or bush bearings , but I gues the concept remains almost same
Every T/C will have thrust absorbing components. The bearings will still be located by Circlips , Collars in shaft etc etc depending upon various models. So a wear out of thrust collar or bearings surfaces which absorb the thrust will still happen and affect the K values
sir you are the Best instructor!
Great content.. Please keep making more. This is invaluable to all seafarers.
Sir, it was very helpfull, i never understood turbocharger so nicely till today... Thank you for guiding us.
Excellent Ramesh. Informative and amazing clear. Another example of real education by simplifying concepts. Ye दिल मांगे मोर.

Sir i am appearing for class 4 meo and i really thank you for making such informative videos with such clarity of concepts.
Very nice.... Ur videos are great.... I'm an engine cadet and a TH-camr (marine related), and I really like ur videos.....

will do..but not immediately.Lots of info on same in the net

There is Jacket cooling water circulation also..That along with Radiation aided by ER blowers suffice...
Hi sir, is there any labrinth seal present in this type of turbocharger AAB type, if present where is it's location?
Sir in generators there are semi ,or floating bearing how shaft is prevented from axial movement
Thank you

Sir what is the full form of K in K value and L ,M as well. The concepts you taught is awesome.
Honestly, I don't know if there is a full form...But they always mean the same clearances

Sir MET turbocharger ka bhi daal do plz... Mjhe central sleeve type bearing wala tc ka video chahiye
Do more videos
Nice sir..... please cover also MAN turbocharger..... and variable turbine geometry..... wish you good health sir
Honestly I have no idea about the same. Will try and find out.If somebody is asking you for Orals or exams then ofcourse you need to know :-)
Sir , if K value is not same after assembly there is a slight difference of .2mm then , can it be adjusted without dismantling the shaft completely ?
Obviously..something--bearing housing or something has not gone in place completely.Shaft need not be dismantled completely
sir type of bearing used on blower side and turnbine side

Every T/C will have thrust absorbing components. The bearings will still be located by Circlips , Collars in shaft etc etc depending upon various models. So a wear out of thrust collar or bearings surfaces which absorb the thrust will still happen and affect the K values
