I remember that I used to have a big issue with playing Pokémon when I was younger (like, 6 to 8 years old), since I'm Swedish and I didn't know any English at the time. So... I ended up accidentally erasing my mom's completed save, plus tons of my own. Yes, my mom played Pokémon, and she was a master.
Your title "banned" is misleading. These games were not banned, just released under different titles/circumstances, or failed to sell well enough to warrant a western release.

I think the problem is that once a video is up, I can't go back and change it. So even though many people might find a flaw in it, to fix it I'd need to reupload the video entirely and then less people will see it. Attaching a disclaimer to every video warning people that I might have made a mistake would just be redundant, since as an imperfect human being mistakes are almost inevitable. I do occasionally make annotations to correct myself, but only 50% of TH-cam users can even see annotations

Which is what I hate about TH-camrs these days. Making contact with your commenters is essential, otherwise it feels like being a boss of a huge company not listening or knowing about its workers.
I wouldn't care at all, it's good for me, and gets me more subs too! But I do know 1 TH-camr with over 100,000 subscribers that does the same thing... So it is possible!

I just revisited this today, I never realized how clickbaity it was before. It was mostly about stuff they didn't think would sell in the US (and also Europe in a lot of cases). The only banned stuff was at the very end and while that definitely counts as a ban, it was over political reasons, it's always more interesting if something is banned for insane moral reasons. Well anyway, I overall liked this but I'd consider the title clickbait since only like 10% was about that ban.

Banned only applies to South Korea which is because of the oppressive government they had there for more than 50 years. If you look back at history both Koreas probably would have been better off left as regions of Japan (being treated as equal to everywhere else in Japan) following the war.
Ah yes, the Pokemon Mini... My parents bought me this thing when I was 5 to hold me over for another year before they gave in and I got a GBA for Christmas. Still sits on a little shelf under the TV, being played around once a year for a few minutes by either me or my mom.

I don't know why but so many people on the internet say the stupidest and most hateful things about female youtubers. I've been reading some of the horrible things people say about her on different forums. Its not just Hiroka though, Maria Magibon was another one who people would seemingly have contests on who can say the most disgusting things about her. And a handful of other women on youtube as well. I've never seen anyone say anything nearly as disgusting about any male youtubers, not even pwediepie (nor should they), as they say about many female youtubers. It makes me sick to see how hateful people (who are probably mostly all, if not all, male) treat women on the internet. It's obvious a very big chunk of the internet is extremely sexist when it comes to females on the internet. They're like rabid dogs foaming at the mouth with hate and take great pleasure in spouting off the most hideous things words can convey about them. And if you think I'm just a rambling feminist, then you've either not seen these disgusting things people say, are ignoring them, or are one of them yourself. They truly deserve to live and die alone. People need to call them out on these things. I'll definitely be making a video soon about this issue exposing them for the animals that they are. Someone has to. When I can't even quote the things that are being said because they are just too disgusting, it really shows how inhuman these people are. AND it really pisses me off. They don't deserve to live in any civilized society.

If people hate her for having an opinion, then they should hate themselves too. Also, her voice is cute, there's a lot of people who do like her voice. But... we are part of Europe. Although the European Union flag would be better suited. I wonder if the Aussie and English-language European games are in proper English or American English?
Also - US people could always import them, as the DS isn't region-locked (unless it's a DSi-only title).

Some of the poke'mon mini games that didn't get a US release on the actual pokemon mini actually were eventually released as mini games within Poke'mon channel, which was released for the game cube. I recognized snorlax lunchtime specifically. I played pokemon channel a lot as a kid

Man, it must suck for South Korea, not able to play the 1st Gen.
Actually, even though 1st Gen was banned, people still had it and it was popular in South Korea. I was too young to remember, but my brother played the 1st Gen while we were living in South Korea. You could go to like a store to buy like Japanese imported stuff, it was expensive, but he still got to play Pokemon Red when it came out in Japan. The problem was it was all in Japanese so you had to guess what it all meant, but yea, my brother played Pokemon Red, and all his friends played it too, so it must have been pretty popular even with the ban. My parents told me that my brother loved Pokemon so much, that street vendors would sell Pokemon themed breads, and even though it tasted bad, my brother would spend all his money on them and throw out the breads, just because it came with Pokemon stickers, and this was waaaaayyy before the ban was lifted. So it's actually not true, Pokemon was still popular in South Korea, it was possible to buy the game, they just didn't have one translated for Korean

Actually have played Pokemon Trading Card Game 2, someone online finally did a full english translation of the game, it is pretty good. At least twice as much battles as the original, as well as unique battle stipulations like requiring certain Pokemon in your decks, or types of cards that are banned.

I actually would have loved Pokemon Typing Adventures, I learned how to type at a speed that meets the government standard for typing by playing games like that, and I've always enjoyed them.
Not sure if anyone still cares, but one of the reasons we may have never gotten the Pokémon TCG GB2 is because while the game included almost twice as many cards as the original, the vast majority of those new cards came from the Intropack and Vending Sheet series, which were never released outside of Japan.
Japan gets cool stuff, America gets cool stuff. Europe never gets anything!

i visited the Pokemon Center with my brother back when we were visiting my relatives living in the central part of Japan a little over a month ago and that store was awesome. i just came back from my Japan trip about couple weeks ago and boy the traveling by myself was nerve wreaking this time.

Because that isn't banned. It wasn't ported. There is a huge difference. Banned says the pokemon games were not brought here because the American government said nope, that is too such and such. Not brought over here because it was weak and useless product means they didn't port it. To very different things.
