I am coming into this quite late, but I thought I would give you some good tips.
* Fishing is really good for making money early game. Don't listen to a lot of other content creators who say the fishing is bad. It is easy when you realise how to do it. Once you can make the meal "fish and chips", you will get a fishing buff that reels the fish in much faster.
* Also on the topic of fishing: The row boat is a must for fishing. Later when you get the inventor Franklin to your town, you will be able to have him build you a jet ski which is AWESOME.
* Another later game invention that can help you terraform is the Compactor and the dirt printer. Also, once you get the full shop you can buy a wheel barrow from John. This can be filled with 10 shovels full. You can then move the wheel barrow to where you want to dump it or destroy it to destroy the dirt. You don't lose the Wheel Barrow though. Also, the wheel barrow is randomly available so isn't always there.
* Back to fishing: Fishing at night in the north (in a boat or Jet Ski) is the best for making money. Barracuda are the best to catch as they are worth 16,000 dinks each. There are fish worth more but they are very rare.
* Health and Stamina Boost buffs last the whole day (until you sleep).
Wary Mu's are the large black birds. Yes, they are mean. Grab their eggs and put them on the scale in John's shop and you can make a lot of Dinks.
There are Tele Towers, one on the North, South, East and West on your Island. You repair them all then you can Teleport to them.
I love playing Dinkum, my tip for you Sharky, buy and build the bulletin board, great way to make cash and get extra resources, especially when they ask for ore and give you bars in return
Tazmania Devil, wakes up and comes out at night, shoots fire balls. Occasionally is agro'd by you or something else and is awake during the day.
You can place several spades in your inventory slot, this would speedup your levelling.
Ie pick up 'x' amount of spades worth of dirt walk then dump it.
Until you get your wheel barrow
I play dinkum too. I haven’t played in a while but I am excited to get back into it. I played it a bunch back when it came out.
Also the creature that was stuck was a Tasmanian Devil type creature. You were lucky it glitched to be stuck. They are nasty and shoot fire at you. And they will chase you even into water. They are one of the few creatures that will chase you for a long while.
I have also grown really fond of this game. A tip for you. Buy more shovels. That way you can move more than one shovel of dirt.
Have played Dinkum non-stop since it first came out early. Love It! Have played multi several times. Its really fun. Helps with stocking up and managing chores as town grows larger. Have four different characters but am not past my third year. Love all the changes James has added and everything upcoming. Can't say enough about this one. Glad you are having fun in Dinkum. Happy to share tips but don't want to spoil anything for ya if ya like surprises.

The only thing I got against this game is the tools break needlessly But other than that it's a very good game and I'm glad I got it....

I literally just watched your other video about Dinkum this afternoon and decided to give the early access a go because I loved it so much :)
While map is open, LMB an icon or marker on map and it sparkles on the mini map helping with directions.
One of my towns is a "Water-way Town" so I can't wait to see the new water features like waterfall in Bloomin update!

Yes, terraforming is one of my favorite features.
In my main save, I'm on year 2 winter with two days left until spring. Patiently waiting for the update. :) PS: Knock the signs down & sell them.
I really enjoy Dinkum and am excited to see how the game continues to evolve between now and full release. There are some excellent mods out there including one to make the tools unbreakable and for me it was a gamechanger :)

It looks like a cool game, but I'd feel so bad everytime I killed animal 🤦🏼♀️😂 I was horrified when the dogs killed the kangaroo! 😅
Get that shop placed & then fingers crossed you get Franklin to visit next. He has a lot of better tools to help with teraforming & things for farming & traveling 😉🤘🏻
Cook & eat, the cooking table will make ya some better foods for sure. You can actually stay up pretty late in the game. Once midnight hits your stamina bar goes way small but if you do stuff like use the forge & crafting tables & cooking that doesn't take stamina at all.

That was a Bush Devil ya got. He was stuck in rock. They shoot fireballs at ya. Great money maler though.

I played Dinkum a lot. One of my faves. I've actually been thinking about it recently. Might be time to jump back in.
Even though terraforming takes so much time, there's something I like about it. Ya know?
Also... "dink" means "d*ck" where I'm from. Always gave me a chuckle. Teehee

I haven't tried multiplayer yet, achievement hunting in stardew but I'll get back to it soon! I saw a crocodile once but it also saw me 😅
I call them "mean" dogs and yes, they are very mean.
Trapping is the number one best money maker.
Early game absolutely agree, I still love the trapping gameplay. The money is very good and very quick to capture multiple creatures once you know the trick. Once you get to mid\late game, I think Farming can be more profitable. Either from Apples (zero effort) or from crops using large fields\sprinklers and selling to a visitor who purchases in multiples of 50 is potentially better for 100,000 and getting 1m Dinks at a time. 💰💰💰

Still in early access, but an update to add in ALOT of items & a spring event/flowers is coming very soon. Still a great game to play & build however you want.
