I may be biased, but this is the best video! Thank you Amanda for all your hard work on the video and out on the hike. I love every second of it, my heart is so full seeing all my boys together having fun and spending time together. Nick, I so enjoy you in front of the camera. 💙💕
I think when you get to your thirties and depending on where you are in life, you start to self-reflect and you realize what is more important in life and which people you want to spend time with. Time is the biggest factor and you don’t want to waste time on people that don’t make the same effort. I’m 38 now and I put my energy towards people who bring me joy and I’m becoming more selfish- taking care of my physical, mental, and emotional health.
I’m so happy Nick got to spend this wonderful trip with his bothers I lost my son in December so I now know how precious time really is so please guys get together as much as you guys can this was so a great video ❤
OH…Blessings and I am so very sorry for your loss. I have three kids who are adults now and I think about that stuff now that I am retired and able to travel between their homes. I hope others read your comment and follow through with your wishes! Thank You for your courage and great heart! ❤
I'm also 33 and I've been thinking a lot about the same things. I live pretty far from my family and childhood friends and I miss them a lot. Always a fight for more time; it's a gift
Loved the video! That first part where you dropped into the canyon looked a lot like Death Hollow. It's so awesome that Nick's brothers could tag along! Loved Nick's deep thoughts towards the end of the video. It's so true that we need to go while we can with those we love and make fun memories. ❤ Thanks for taking us with you! 😊
Nick thank you for your final thoughts and a different way to look at how we use our time in life…..and thanks for introducing you brothers…what a wonderful time together
I got a pair of low top Merrells at a garage sale for five bucks. Not too grungy. No odour. Cleaned them out. Fit perfectly. Probably $150-200 shoes. Had them two years of almost daily wear. Holding up well
Fantastic video! Thank you Amanda and Nick for letting us see you and your family a little more in depth. What Nick said...time is precious...it is awesome that adventure is part of your lifestyle and your not waiting on retirement years for these experiences. Bravo!
Awesome trip! I love that type of landscape. Also, it’s cool that you’re showing everyone how to bird whistle with their hands. My dad taught me when I was a kid (I’m 60 now) and my great-grandfather had taught him. ❤
Awesome video, always enjoy it with the whole family, we love Utah and visit often from AZ ❤ same type of trips. Was wandering, does your husband maintain the car himself! 300k miles, you usually don’t get when other people tinker on your car. Whenever our car comes from the dealer, I find something they broke! (Only goes there for the included maintenance). Anyway, looking forward to the next video, when you go to Bryce Canyon don’t forget the little waterfall outside of the national park. ❤Blessings❤
With all my bros in town we had to rent a car, but yes, I do all the work on my old Tacoma. It actually doesn't need things too often, still running on mostly original parts.
That was fun! I enjoyed seeing Nick with his brothers and hearing more from him in this video. I say, make it an annual trip - something that is on everyone's calendar for the 1st weekend in April or whatever. Would love to know where you were - but if you want to keep it under wraps, that's understandable.
This was so great! I loved the bit with Nick, introducing his brothers and talking about how important that time is with people you love. I loved the part at the end with In-n-out and the stills of your memories. That was a well planned trip with memories for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing. :)
Such a wonderful family trip! The location is very inspiring! Coming out of winter is right. You have jump-started my enthusiasm for upcoming family trips and visits: camps, hikes, city trips. I only have a feeling years before my daughter is off to college so I’m looking at Nick’s message from both sides of the glass.
Thanks for taking me along. Great video. Thanks for the idea of the sand drawing game. I’ll be doing that on my next trip. Have you done a video short with that clip? Would love to share it with friends.
Awesome! I so enjoyed watching the siblings enjoy their time together. How special for all of you. Great scenery and time well spent! It was nice to have Nick’s thoughts towards the end of the video. Thanks for sharing this epic adventure with us! Amanda, I would like to know more about your backpack. I like the way it opens up. Maybe you have done a video on it and I missed it? I don’t know. But, thanks for taking us along!
Right now I'm using the Gregory Jade and I think it's the 63L. I also have a smaller version that I use for day hikes. It's such a comfortable backpack!
We pack in a stick or two of butter to add to our backpacking meals. A chunk of butter helps up the calories and makes them taste better. Big pay off for a little extra weight.
LOVED this video. It's so cool to watch you take these guys on this trip, that all the brothers got to spend time together and we got to meet more of Nick's family and hear his thoughts.
It’s amazing I was there a few weeks ago and I was the only soul on the trail, I instantly recognized this place once seeing the trail head and all the boulders haha
What a wonderful documentary of a very special time for your family. Really enjoyed Nick's take on the experience. I will be 60 this year, and it is cliche' and it is also very true; life goes so fast and time is definitely our most precious resource! Use it wisely!
One of your best videos!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Such a handsome bunch of brothers... and Nick got me tear up with his reflection. I'm calling my parents right now😅 Thanks for all your hard work 🙏🏻
I also have a brother 13 years younger named Matthew. He was a surprise baby. My mother named him Matthew because it means " a gift from god". I'm not religious, but he turned out to be. :-)
A gear list of the brothers would have been nice. Especially their rucksacks look interesting. But anyway, thanks for teaching me how to whistle like a locomotive, I love it! 🚂😅
For my Sony cam I use a peak design shoulder clip and have the strap girth hitched to my shoulder strap for backup, but I need to work out a different system. Having the extra weight on one side really messed up my back and shoulder on that trip. Still working on the perfect system!
@@Toomuchgearguy I like that setup. I have a think tank camera holster that I used to clip to both straps. Worked like the hyperlite camera pod. Only reason I don't use it now is my camera doesn't fit when it's set up in video mode (mic and top handle). I'll probably tinker some more and try to get back to that setup.
Nice sound absolutely awesome. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak .add this sound in your bucket list.
When you come across a body of water in Australia (I’m Aussie btw) you can’t just walk into the water without looking around first. The reason is because of frogs, yes frogs, because where there are frogs there are snakes. You just have to respect nature a little bit more here, do that and you should be ok. Great vid, I wish I was there with you 😊.

You need to come with us next time!
Nick gave a lot of insight into why we all enjoy hiking and camping. It's all about life's little moments 😊

It’s tough seeing them change so much between visits. I feel like I’m missing out!

It was a great trip!
It's definitely a trip we all will remember!
Hand noise thing works easier if you pinch blade grass between thumbs then blow. Air on either side of tight blade makes like a string.

I love the hear it! That's a great deal!

It's such a cool thing to know how to do! I need to keep practicing and hopefully I'll get to teach my kids someday!
Wonderful video, Amanda. Such a great bunch of brothers. We're glad you all made it for this trip together. Thanks.
Such a great video! Loved Nicks talk at the end...it got me teary eyed. My parents told me something similar to this...don't wait until it's too late.

The photos at the end almost made me cry... Love that. Absolutely beautiful video as always, Amanda. With the perfect music.
So wonderful seeing all the boys together. What a great trip! I hope they do make the time for more of them. Great insights, Nick!
Wow! That landscape looks unlike anything I've ever seen (here in western/ central Europe). Amazing!
Thanks for taking us along 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! The landscape here in Utah is so unique. Even after living in Utah for over 10 years, it still amazes me!

Beautiful family!! Great location 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Agree with Nick’s sentiments about limited opportunities to hang out in such a meaningful way; so priceless.
Thank you Amanda and Nick.. we loved the video!
Beautiful family 💕
Backpacking to stretch time with family - finally something valuable on youtube!

Loved this one guys. So nice to see Nick talking more ❤ you make a beautiful couple ❤
Loved this so much! The landscape was so beautiful! Such a special way to spend time with family! Loved that arch!
What a nice family outing. Nice to see Nick on camera with his brothers.
Coffee for Nick, Is his trail name PackMule?😆
😂 He always has a big pack with all his camera gear! I will pass this along, thank you!!
It is now!
We pack in a stick or two of butter to add to our backpacking meals. A chunk of butter helps up the calories and makes them taste better. Big pay off for a little extra weight.
Thanks for sharing 😊 remember the older you get the quicker time goes enjoy these trips as much as you can 😊

This was an awesome video of you, Nick and his brothers! Loved seeing Nick reflect on a very important life lesson. So awesome!

Great video! So glad everyone had such a great time.
This video was so wholsome! Great to see more of Nick and his family! He is very wise!

Pemandangan nya sangat indah sekali👍
One of your best videos!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Such a handsome bunch of brothers... and Nick got me tear up with his reflection. I'm calling my parents right now😅 Thanks for all your hard work 🙏🏻
This looked so much fun!!!!! What a great experience! ⛺
Introspective Nick - dig it. Good thoughts.. and all too true.
My heart belongs with Nick's mom.
😍Boys keep you young at heart.
Nick's parting words were👏👏👏
What an extra special video, thank you for sharing this family adventure with us.
I also have a brother 13 years younger named Matthew. He was a surprise baby. My mother named him Matthew because it means " a gift from god". I'm not religious, but he turned out to be. :-)
Absolutely loved this.
I got it once he said "You're almost not even blowing into the hole."
So cool..
I’ve always wanted to learn how to whistle with my hands. And I actually did it. Thanks to you. 😮
Great content. Eric, your thoughts at the end of the video, right on in my opinion. See you all.
A gear list of the brothers would have been nice. Especially their rucksacks look interesting. But anyway, thanks for teaching me how to whistle like a locomotive, I love it! 🚂😅
Thank you for the video. Keep them coming.
That was great. Thanks for sharing.
Life is short. My daily motto. Thanks for sharing. Also what’s that setup for the camera strap? Peak design just tied in?
For my Sony cam I use a peak design shoulder clip and have the strap girth hitched to my shoulder strap for backup, but I need to work out a different system. Having the extra weight on one side really messed up my back and shoulder on that trip. Still working on the perfect system!
Amazing what little weight can do to your muscles and posture during a hike! Been debating on the Hyperlite Camera Pod to keep it centered.
@@Toomuchgearguy I like that setup. I have a think tank camera holster that I used to clip to both straps. Worked like the hyperlite camera pod. Can you pls do a whats in my day hike bag? Gear and different backpacks you own in which sizes, pls!
This looks like a gorgeous trip!
Peak Refuel is currently my favorite brand of dehydrated meals. Every one I’ve tried has been great
Same. I haven't tried a dinner that I didn't like!
Nice sound absolutely awesome. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak .add this sound in your bucket list.

What trail was that? Drivable from Southern Nevada
I kept thinking this looks like my home, then I saw Mamie Creek Natural Bridge and it was confirmed.
How do you keep your phone from overheating on hot hikes??
Wow that place ia so cool!
What made you skip your sun hoody this time around?
Love moon cheese on hikes!
My brother is one of those people who can do the "hand flute" to the point he can play legit songs.
I'm stuck at the two note call...
Great video! I love all your videos but this one ...♥
Are you hiking in sandals? That sounds dangerous.😬
Your feet are probably numb now from the cold water.
Salamanders and Axolotles are amphibians not lizards
Amanda can I ask you a pee question?
