    Thank you so much for this. Love your reasons for SOBO. Great discussion of fear on the trail. I too fear or am more concerned by people than wildlife. Can't wait for chapter 11!

    What a nice idea, interacting with your viewers and being so open and forthright. This was a great point to in the series open up the questioning!

    Thank you so much for your video. I love all of them! One thing that I think is funny is that every time you say you’re a Canadian I think you are saying you’re a comedian and then I say to myself, “Oh she’s a comedian?”, but then I know you’re not a comedian so I have to remind myself of that every single time you say you’re a Canadian in your videos. And by the way, you’re not saying it wrong, I just hear things funny. Anyway, love you! Take care!

    Did you find it hard to eat vegan along the way? Like finding food options in town etc?

    • @KrystaNorwick
      @KrystaNorwick  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It wasn't as hard as I expected it would be. There were some trail towns that had very minimal options. But, there were some SUPER small places that had incredible options. Like Seiad Valley. But, I think it would have been really hard to buy resupply in the small places, so for me it was usually necessary for me to send myself a resupply package.

    Were you able to send home your brush because you kept your hair in braids most of the time? Perhaps an odd question, but my hair gets tangled just sitting around and I'd rather not carry a brush if I don't have to. Thanks and your videos are great. You have a very calming and positive vibe.🍊

    • @KrystaNorwick
      @KrystaNorwick  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ya I think the braids helped a lot! But my hair doesn't normally get very tangled. I have no idea why, but I usually only brush it once a day at most and it doesn't need much. Some of the other women I hiked with had little brushes with mirrors. I thought that was a genius idea because you can use the mirror as a signal mirror if you ever need to get rescued, so it's like a back-up safety item too!

    I’m wondering if you will do the AT thru hike in the near future? Also, did you have any issues with Ticks? Of ALL the creatures out there, ticks freak me out the most

    • @tarynpemberton

      Yes, Ticks are also a big fear of mine, and I would love insight on that.

      The AT isn't as appealing for a lot of West coasters.

      @@jadasakura I live in WA and the number of people I know with neurological Lyme is pretty scary.

    • @jadasakura
      @jadasakura 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tarynpemberton that's totally fair, I don't mean to suggest Lyme isn't an issue on the west coast at all. Just if you look at the data and also data maps, the concentration of lymes disease is so so much stronger in all the states the AT goes through. So I just thought it was funny that person said they were scared of ticks and asked if she was doing the AT in the same comment. It threw me off haha.

    I highly doubt you are using Better Help for therapy. They have a miserable reputation and questionable ethics. You lose credibility when you take sponsorships from disreputable companies.

    Please don’t promote BH. Its business practices are horrible. It sells client information and not all of the staff is licensed. It does not take health insurance.
    So many better choices.
