Little bummed you didn’t freshen up the calipers with a fresh coat of red like the back. Great video as always! Looking forward to refreshing my brakes when it warms up.
Hi mate never really driven it much before fitting these so I cant really compare but the brakes are not the the best on a mk1 so I will be looking at changing the brake set up
well done sir, it was one of the first jobs on my V6 swapping out the brake discs and pads. always good to know you can stop!😉 what's next on your list?
Nice video Chris :D I'm doing my fronts soon then I'm drilled and grooved front and rear :D with Brembo pads too.. my question is.. how much better did you feel like they were compared to OE brakes ?

@@CarChris82 I honestly thought mine were pretty sharp to be fair.. the only thing is brake fade if driving spirited 🤷🤣 so the drilled and grooved will be great for me till I build the engine etc.. fresh fluid helps and most of these calipers seize up it's too common
@@TTAutowerks94 compared to the mk2 they are shabby and as you say brake fade 100% is a problem, I have replaced the fluid and bled the system including the abs pump.dont get me wrong they do stop you but I think im to used the mk2 tt ones and my daily is a bmw x5 which the brakes are on point .I'm thinking of upgrading and trying a q7 set up as I think they are 6pot
@@CarChris82 very nice man, yeah I can imagine with that comparison you notice how bad they are 🤣🤣 doing some nice paintwork while doing these brakes, literally fitting mine now 👌😍
Great video mate. I can confirm those discs look the business! Great job!
cheers mate they seem all bedded in now from the drive to yours yesterday 👍
Thank you, saved me some time.
Glad the video helped 👍🏻
Great vlog!always full of useful information.
Cheers mate glad it helps 👍
You make it look so easy great job 👍
Cheers mate 👍 it pretty straightforward
Great video, wish i had the guts to take my breaks apart myself. Nice work!
Cheers mate I sure you could do it
Nice work mate! Saved on the penny's 👍😊

I sure did mate black carrier and red caliper look at the thumbnail and the pic at the end 👍🏻
At 4:36 Brake pad wear sensor. My Hawk pads do not have that. Is it critical?
Its tells you when your pads are low
@@CarChris82 Thanks... New pads working fine. It was interesting that the old pads, the two wires in the pad were worn about halfway.
Chris they will need painting those discs i have them on rear black hamerite works well.
Cheers mate might do that 👍
Nice video, could you feel an improvement when braking hard ? I have the OEM brakes( discs and pads)and I am not impressed.
