I’m pretty sure the SR is supposed to be a fleet vehicles/work truck so they are more focused toward economy in both mpg and in general money wise. Less horsepower and torque mean better mpg as well as less strain on the power train leading to decreased wear and in turn cheaper long term maintenance cost.

I wish every TH-cam build video started out with the reminder that the build page is for two things. Entertainment and giving Toyota a tool to match your desires with allocated inventory.
You can’t actually build a custom truck with exactly the options you want from the factory.
The dealers will be happy to gouge you on bolt on stuff but the factory packages are predetermined by Toyota. 😢

      I’m still happy with my Toyota and it’s a 1985 that I bought in 1986. 😂
That being said, the rust is taking over and I will need a new one soon.

Kind of funny how you don't recommend the Limited. You own a Sport model. And you don't recommend the Limited. No locking diff, same as sport, more features than the Sport. Just as capable as the Sport. But you don't recommend the Limited? Why? Do you hate heated seats? Factory GPS installed on it? Sliding rear glass? All those things the Sport doesn't have. You said at the beginning you were leaving your feelings and opinions out of it but you completely disrespected every Limited owner out there. Why? Because we could've bought the Sport but decided to get heated seats and dual climate controlled Air conditioning? Sorry I think the non functioning hood scoop looks stupid and chose not to get it. Side by side my Limited is just as capable as your lower end Sport. The chrome gives it a "classy" look. The larger wheels give it a more smooth ride. And my butt loves the heated seats in the winter time. Why don't you do a segment on why you dislike the Limited and why you chose to go with the lower end Sport model. I chose to follow you because you were an average guy pursuing a hobby you wanted to get into from the ground up like myself. You don't have a huge budget to get the top shelf accessories and you install it all yourself, just like me. I'm not gonna judge you for buying the Sport model so don't judge us for going Limited. You just do you and what you do. Don't think you are an expert, there are to many of those guys out there and you will lose.

I bought the sport because it was the lowest tier available with the manual transmission on the third gen. The reason why I dislike the limited is because you are paying a higher price for less. Base limited 3rd gen msrp is $41,355 with none of the actual performance gains for that price. The base 3rd Gen sport is $35,510. Both come standard with 18in wheels. My sport has heated leather seats, power rear window, gps, sunroof ect. At the end of the day it's your money and how you spend it is your choice. On that note it's my choice to not advertise that model. I did talk about that model in my 3rd Gen video. I left it out on my 4th gen video for the main reason being the pricing in today's economy made me sick. The base MSRP for a limited 4th Gen Tacoma is $52,100

The 4th gen limited has some things the 3rd gen didn’t such as power running boards, an adaptive suspension, heads up display, an all wheel drive system.
I need a 6’ bed so I’m not interested, but it does seem like the best bang for the buck of you want everything. Upgrading a Sport or Off Road makes them more expensive than a Limited.

In the grander scheme of trucks today $52k is on the low end for a loaded truck. Your Sport package doesn't have the amenities that a lot of 52 year old men want. And that hood is a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned. You blew it with this video. You should of kept to letting people know what their options were and left it at that. Instead you tried to appeal to the Pro guys and poke a jab at the limited guys. If that's where you're going on future videos then you will fail. Keep to your roots and don't segregate a large portion of your audience or you'll never hit 10k.

Was from a year ago. My opinion has not changed on the Limited. I believe I am "keeping to my roots" lol

If you like the chrome, get the chrome...... Honestly i have never heard MDV be pro tacoma pro package. It has always been buy the lowest end possible that has what you want and build from there. I knew i wanted a locking rear diff so i bought the off road. I also knew i wanted to lift the truck so there was no sense spending the money on fox suspension. At the end of the day we are all responsible for our own happiness. There are always give and takes to every package. For instance, off road MT has A-Trac, the sport has hill assist. You cant have both as the A-Trac runs off the electric brake assist on the off road and the hill assist shares the same reservoir between the brake and clutch on the sport. If you are happy with your decision, then be happy.
