Nice looking knife, but my first thoughts were, is it legal in the UK being a "lock" (locking blade) knife and the blade looks longer than the UKs 3" length? Never understood the lock knife bit, is in my view a locked blade is safer to use that a folding blade 😞
You are right. 3" and non-locking. You can have it if you can prove good reason for carrying though, work, fishing etc. Just don't have it on a night on the town.
Yeah as Allan mentioned 3" or under and a non-locking blade to be a legal EDC carry in the UK. This knife will prominently be only with me on land that's private and I have permission to be on. Or keeped in my rucksack and used with caution if on more public land. Thanks for watching and commenting that's a great point. One I maybe should have mentioned in the video. Atvb, Garry
I've got the Rangergrip 78, which is the same as your 79 except it has a small phillips head screwdriver instead of the corkscrew. They're excellent bushcrafting tools.
I agree they are a fantastic bushcraft tool a great addition to our kit. I did look at the 78, but decided on the 79. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment it's much appreciated 👍
A pretty good camp tool. My only complaint is the damn thumb hole. Other knifemakers have figured out how to put thimb studs on $40 knives. Why can't Victorinox put studs on an $80 6:23 knife?
I completely agree, it is a great camp tool, thinking about what you said a thunb stud would be a great bonus. Thanks for watching its much appreciated 👍
Really its a much larger Huntsman minus the scissors. So huntsman when im in the office, and Ranger 79 when I'm in the woods. sounds about right. I'll have to pick one up. be nice if it came in God's Plaid.
They are a great bit of kit, I'm really happy with mine. Pleased I bought it, lol if mine was in gods paid I'd put it down and never find it again 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching its much appreciated 👍👍
Great Addition For The Pocket Thanks Garry ! Hi Claire ! Hugs For Bramble ! ATB Ter & Mel God Bless
Thanks Terry, yeah I think it's going to be a good addition. Hope you and Mel are both well.😀😀👍👍
Great review Gary and looks to be a very Good Knife
Cheers Andy appreciate that buddy, yeah it's a decent knife I'm happy with it so far. Thanks again buddy
Looks really good ❤
Thank you I like it, it's a good addition to my kit👍👍
Tip for ferro rod... Hold the knife where you want the spark to go and pull the ferro rod. Keeps the spark from flying all over the place 👍
@robertsavard3508 thanks buddy, that makes sense 👍
After watching your video I had to go get one of these!! Great video! @@360OutdoorAdventures

My favourite SAK. Really practical knife 👍
It is an impressive bit of kit 👌 👍👍
I added a tortoise gear fire kit to mine and I absolutely love it. It’s been my main carry along with a belt one for years.
That's a great idea, I've just looked at them. They look great saves an extra carry. 👍👍👍

Decent bit of kit that 👍 You can't beat a Victorinox of any kind TBH. Just don't take it clubbing or to a rave 😂
Totally agree Lee, it is a decent bit of kit that doesn't cost to much either. 😂😂 definitely won't be taking that to any raves good call buddy. 😂😂😂
Crap steel
What makes you think that? I would disagree
