Now though mega garchomp is actually quite good in the mat dex format due to it getting scale shot. Hence the speed issue is fixed and you can make use of the higher attack and bulk mega chomp provides. Even special moves are viable since it has 120 special attack. Some may say life orb chomp outdamages its mega which is true but regular chomp usually prefers other items like leftovers anyways. Also life orb chips adds up which is cruicial considering nat dex has a lot of priority. Not saying any form is better than the other but the point is mega chomp isnt strictly outclassed by regular chomp anymore.
I didn't know of moves so I spammed regular attack in mystery dungeon. Then I found loves, then I became sso overleveled that ai again spammed the regular attack XD
One change i never see being commented is a piece of dialogue from Mars in BDSP
Originally when you fought her at lake Verity she said "what is this, a lovey dovey couple to the rescue ?, not a chance! not even a tiny one!". But it was changed and I don't understand why
One of the things that I liked doing in the Gen 1 games was the toxic leech seed combination
Legend returns
Good thing these changes happened
I wonder if Combusken's shiny was changed because of the Max Lair to make it more noticeable? People can easily skip over it's shiny on the summery if they kept it's old shiny
I dunno GF have been slowly changing shinies here and there for years. I'm not sure why they choose certain pokémon though, if it was to make them clearer there are shinies that are far worse than even the old Combusken one. Ever seen a shiny Gengar? Personally I can't even see any difference between the normal and shiny version. Garchomp is the same.
Fact 51: Alex is now serious
Yes the best poketuber has returned.
I didn’t know some of these so thanks for making a good video Alex 🙂
We welcome you back goat 🐐🫶🏼
Getting rid of the regular attack in PMD dx is one of the worst changes.
I’m mixed about it. It’s somewhat annoying but you can max out your moves permanently and it can spread to your teammates that have the same move. Also Ethers/Max Elixers.
5:19 hey! swadloon it's cool
Shoutouts to Buzzwole for being in the top of the polls for literally no reason. My man
39) in the pokemon manga it makes references to machamp losing his belt when evolving though
Honestly Diego was so wholesome that even Pokémon considers what he did as gamish canon
Subliminal message at 13:06
Kadabra is flipping us the middle finger.
Well actually, you made a "mistake"
Chandelure never had Shadow Tag. It was it's hidden ability in the dream world but there was no way to actually get it because they never made an event with it.
In the dream world tier on Pokemon showdown, Pokemons that were yet not released with their hidden abilities could use them to see how powerful they would be. Chandelure was broken and quickly got banned.
Also, not related but the differences in Japan are probably related to how mainstream pokemon is there, and those cute Pokemons would definitely attract people. Plus there are surely a ton of plushies of them.
Pokemon is very mainstream in the West too. Maybe the reason could be because women are more into Pokemon in Japan than here
When the world needed him most he reapered
I’m so conditioned to receiving joke videos from you it took 4 minutes before I accepted it was serious XD
Eveything you said about gen 1, I remember, in some cases, painfully clear. Wrap was hell...and Persian with Slash, it did help me once through the Elite Four with how broken it was, in none of my playthroughs did I see it not be a critical hit. It was a very unbalanced game, full of flaws. But the worldbuilding around it was so good that it has stood the test of time for nearly 30 years. And I´m grateful for it, now I get to play Pokemon with my niece and she actually thinks Im cool :D
Changing Jynx’s skin colour was unneeded. Making a black character in a game is just the opposite of racism.
Including a black character is good. Making the face literally black and giving it big lips is not
@@MorganKing95 it’s not racist though.
@@liselilerindram9916
It's racist to exaggerate the physical attributes of ethnic minorities, and thus making them look uncanny
Racism: the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.
He's not dead!
I just found your channel about a week ago and man I gotta say you moved up the list to probably my favorite PokeTuber homie. I love this kind of content and I can't stop watching your videos haha. Especially your content from years ago. I'm glad you're still making content too. Thumbs up homie
I remember playing Pokemon Y thinking the physical/special were like the older games. And I just ended up having a really bad run. Even having a Haxorus with Hyper beam 😂
13:40 Okay, this is legit cute af lmao.
GameFreak knows
Impressive, very nice. Let's see Paul Allen's Pokémon Change.
TH-cam: 5 interesting pokemon weakness
Me: Yep
Video idea: 50 pointless moves abilities and items for pokémon scarlet and violet
I still think Kakuna has arms instead of a tie. It just keeps them close to the chest.
That was some cool stuff bro
Raikou from beta to official design is like the goth high school kid that grew up into a chilled father
Dratini's stripes made it more like its final evolution. Makes me wish they had kept them.
Raikou in the thumbnail looks like Super saiyan Houndoom
💀”super Saiyan houndoom” I love that
The ability "RKS System" being introduced has the same vibe as when Toby Fox made a song called "It's Pronounced Rules" because people had trouble pronouncing the name Rouxls Kaard.
New editor?
Nice to see this is not a joke video. Good job.
Every day i watch your videos, and now you put a new one:D yay
I just found out today that Raikou, Enter, Suicune had their hidden abilities changed. Used to be the same as the first three Eevee evolutions, then all changed to... Inner Focus?
tbh their original hidden abilities where never released, so it was impossible for them to have lightning rod, flash fire or water absorb
Loved the Lapras part, I salute
Chandelure had shadow tag coded into gen 5, but you couldn’t get it, as it was never officially released
"Arceus" was never changed. Its Japanese name matches its English name, that being "アルセウス" which in romaji is "Aruseusu" Note the S sound.
Sorry, but it clearly was changed if the devs themselves call it Ark-eus
That water shuriken thing is weird because accelgor isn't water type
I mean it's a ninja too lol 🤷♂️ It makes somewhat sense
Yeah, wouldn't it be weird if other Pokemon could learn non-stab moves? Zoroark with Flame Thrower, Goldeen with Peck (when did you see a flying fish?)
@@velvetbutterfly I think in a sense that Water Shuriken is a signature move for Accelgor. You don't see many signature moves for pokemon that don't share the same type with its moves
Not really unusual since Pokemon learn moves that aren’t similar to its type
Good to see you back again man, always love your videos!!!
Be honest I know y’all did 46 too. I did that with a lot of rare Pokémon lol
Damn I didn’t know that Gengar had levitate! 😁
And i didn't know it had lost Levitate lol
which is weird because it retains levitate in pokemon unite
@@unnderneath are have you not played unite before cuz typing and ability’s do not matter
@@Lil_Ducky43 typing? Sure they don’t matter as it is a MOBA. However all the other Pokémon’s abilities correlate to the ones they have in the core games, they obviously don’t work the same way because it’s a completely different game but Gengar’s the only outlier for some reason.
@@unnderneath really guess I need to log back in unite if I free up some space ofc
3:25 don't forget Charizard in Gen 8. Heacy Duty Boots, Solar Power, and Gigantamax move.
Heacy duty boots?
@@Lil_Ducky43 Typo, *Heavy.
I never thought Kadabra crads would be paying for my college tuition
4:19 Raikou prototype looks much cooler than what we got
"hey what's your favorite Pokemon!"
"Oh you know just *swadloon* "
Legends arceus got the pass on Super Potions and Hyper Potions. Getting 150HP from Hyper Potions was better than 120HP imo.
The potion split always confused me cause I would go back and forth between the older and newer generations so I wouldn't completely notice but I'd think I'd Mandela'd the entire 120/200 thing
I was literally just playing platinum wondering why the opponent's feint wasn't working lol.
Interesting video! I like hearing about obscure facts like this! Thanks for uploading!
He’s baaaaack
I miss the basic attacks from the firsts Mystery Dungeon games. I think that's due the fact that when I was just a kid playing my Explorers of Time version I didn't knew how to use the actual moves of the Pokemon. So I ended up using only the basic attack until the third boss fight, where I finally had the idea of opening the menu while in a dungeon 🤡
glad to see a serious video for once lol.
13:28. I respect him. ( shreads a single tear )
I can't handle this background music loop
Speaking about the Fairy-type upgrade, Gardevoir was just a Generation III Alakazam prior to Generation VI.
11:01
"Faithful remake" as they said
and they meant it
Ok that Charmander spike just blew my mind.
I see it now, but I never saw it like ever. Oo
And I played since 1998. Woah. I have to ask some of my friends, if they knew that!
Shadow tag Chandelure was never released so we never got to know how powerful it would've been.
Raikou I still love its design now but the original design in gen 2 (not the beta)
i loved this video ^_^ aura guardian seriously one of the best poketubers
I NEED to know why so many people in Japan liked Dedenne at the time of the poll. Like, I get Japanese audiences maybe preferring cute Pokemon compared to, say, American ones, but why Dedenne of all of them? That's one that I regularly forget exists...
Best guess I can come up with is possibly the XY anime, as Clemont's sister had a Dedenne if I remember correctly
I like how among all those cute Pokemon there's Buzzwole just chilling there.
Thank you Aron for buffing will o wisp.
Getting rid of Gengar's Levitate for Cursed Body was one of the worst mistakes Game Freak ever made.
2:35
Nope, shadow tag chandelure wasnever officially realesed, so it never had a chance to use it in smogon standard play, but in gen 5 a "dream world" tier existed where every pokemon could use their hidden ability from the dream world and there I'm pretty sure chancelure was banned or something
What did they do to one of the coolest original 151 Pokémon? Gengar can go through walls and the ground, it's a ghost and now they took his defense from ground attacks?
