He's about as hard to play in Smash as it is the play a particular pokemon in the RPGs so that fits.
Useless fact:
Against the Ghastly line, and a have a Bug type move, a Fire type move, a Dark type move, and Fighting type move, you get a move set that's not very effective, effective, super effective, and have no effect.
Another useless fact is that if you switched the fighting move for a normal move the same would be true anyways unless an odor sleuth or similar move was used previously

My boyfriend had a glitched Wailord that knew fly (he didn't hack it, to this day he can't hack anything let alone pokemon) it WAS a glitch. It was on Ruby, and it just sorta...happened when he went to teach a pokemon Fly. For YEARS he didn't know Wailord couldn't use Fly normally. He just accepted it as one of the weird things of Pokemon. He eventually transferred it over to Coliseum and played with it there until he eventually deleted his save file...he has regretted doing that ever since, when he caught another Wailord and discovered it COULDN'T learn Fly...
Makes sense, considering its Pokedex entries.

After that first fact all I could think of was Jynx, Electabuz, and Magmar being best friend throughout their early childhood and middle school/ freshman high school years, but then having a falling out later, Electabuz and Magmar becoming the best of friends while leaving Jynx behind to find her own new friends, causing her to become a social outcast.
So Jinx is the one that failed their live and got abandoned by the other two due to his/her severe drug/aggression/personality problems becoming too much of a burden on them...

Janine DID make a anime appearance. She was introduced when Ash met Koga. Ash had to battle Koga after Ash met Janine. Although, that is just my faded memory, so I could be wrong.
I believed that I saw her in the generation 3 anime with a venonat and a parasect, and mabye she didn't battle Ash, but I believe she still appeared
That was Koga's sister, who wasn't in the games.

I think you should know this: originally kanto was thought to have only 149 Pokemon. Then Red found Mewtwo and it got recorded into the dex automatically and indexed as 150. Later on Red is determined to find the original Pokemon from which Mewtwo is cloned. It is heavily implied he succeeded and thus mew was indexed at 151.

It's mostly because green and blue were categorized as the same colors in Japanese (青) before green became its own character (緑). Calling things that are green (midori) blue (ao) is still commonplace because of the language's history.
Unless they used that category because they originally were going to use it's shiny form (which is green) as the normal form and forgot to switch the color category?

The color problem: Japanese language has a different perception of the colors. I.e: blue and dark green are known as blue, while green starts at light green.
That’s the reason why most of the Pokémon are labeled under a different color.
So remember that useless question on Charizard changing shiny colors. Well I won a trivia on Pokémon because of it. Thank u

I actually really miss Raichu's original cry. I thought it was better than the current one. And I remember when the Pokemon Movie came out here in the US, it was HUGE. So many of us went to go get the exclusive cards and many of us were for premiere night, which was a school night too lol. So yeah, it's no wonder the biggest pop acts did the music for it, because it came out during the explosive popularity of Pokemon at the time.
Was going to comment a similar thing. Pokemon was huge in Europe at the time, the games, the films, the merch were everywhere. So not a surprise.

An equally useless fact about #15 (unless you wanted to shiny hunt this): This occurrence is only possible by using a shiny lock removal action replay code. Since the code allows all Pokemon that are normally locked to actually have that normal 1/8192 shiny chance, it includes the legendary beasts which for whatever reason are accounted for separately in the game's code, probably because the Illusion ability doesn't normally have an effect in a wild battle like that so they had to code it differently.

Today, pokémon is a gigantic confirmed franchise, but in 1998 we were all still in the pokemania times, every kid loved the anime, you found pokemon everywhere, in advertisement, in magazines, in board games, in clothing, in made-in-China totaly-deformed plushies, hack, everything was about pokemon. So it was pretty natural that famous American artists would sing in the pokémon movie of that time.

Just wanna add something to the useless fact 16... In generation 1, the developers had only 512 KB of space to create the game, so to save space they made the crying of several pokemon the same, but to make them sound different they changed the tones or speed of the sound. That also goes to gen 2 as well.

I figured it'd be spelt Dragonitite (so drop the E in Dragonite), and would be pronounced "druh-GAW-nuh-tite", with emphasis on the second syllable.
This isnt true. We don't have the "Abomasnowite", or "Blastoiseite" or "Alakazamite". They'd drop some out, like "Alakazite"

Here's a couple semi-related facts to a clip used in this video.
#1: The clip from The Princess Bride at 3:57 of Wesley/Dread Pirate Roberts (played by Cary Elwes) being conked on the head and being knocked out is him fainting for real. Apparently during shooting, they would do a fake hit where it wouldn't actually make contact, but Cary kept missing the timing. They decided to do a shot where it was supposed to give a light tap, but it ended being a little harder than intentended. Cary blacked out and woke up in the hospital with some stitches and that was the take they actually used.
#2: It was not the only accident that occurred during filming. Both Cary Elwes and Mandy Patinkin (Inigo Montoya) got super into the sword fighting choreography, taking intense training classes practicing with each other an obscene amount, and they even did all their own stunt work for it (aside from the one gymnastic bit during their on screen fight). However, Mandy got too into it at one point and accidentally stabbed Christopher Guest (Count Rugen, the six-fingered man) in the leg during a rehearsal. Christopher was slightly afraid when doing scenes with Mandy after that, and so took some classes himself, ditching most of the practiced choreography and instead just using very defense flailing.

Usless Fact: Zoroark is now almost a needed pokemon to progress through the Pokemon: Ultra Sun/Moon games where you need to fight that...glowing thing. It's almost impossible without Zoroark.
No, Not really. Zoroark helps substantially if you have a fighting type on the team. It’s tough but it’s certainly not impossible without it. Used my Incineroar to get it low and ended it with my lycanrock.
@@cypcyp77 Ye, its possible, I sacrificed a intimidate salamance and sang it to sleep with primeria, and hit it with two moonforces. But a zoroark transformed into a fighting boi and hitting it with foul play makes it the easiest boss ever lel.

ANOTHER USELESS FACT-
In Gen 1-
Voltorb and Electrode could not learn any Electric type moves by level up
Sandshrew and Sandslash could not learn any Ground type moves by level up (neither could Rhyhorn and Rhydon)
Scyther could not learn any Bug type moves by level up
And Butterfree could not learn any Bug OR Flying type moves by level up
Poor Butterfree
And the only Dragon-type move was Dragon Rage. Which always does 40 damage. So the Dragon type was basically pointless. And there was 1 Ghost type line and 1 Dragon type line. Yeaaah...Gen 1 definitely wasn’t the best.

Here's a fun fact. Magmortar is the first third evolution fire type, that is not a starter. And it took them 4 generations. They continued this with Chandelure in Gen 5 and Coalossal in Gen 8. I find it crazy that they didn't think to add more third evolution fire types outside of starters. Since it's such a prominent type overall.

Another useless fact that answers why Mewtwo comes before mew:
The pokedex is actually well organized, and I will explain how.
In the PokeDex, the starters go first. Then, the Pokemon. That is organized by how far in the game you need for it. But, that's not always the case.
After the normal Pokemon, come the Pseudo-Legendarys. They might not always be at the end of the game tho.
Then, come the legendarys. They are obviously found at the end of the game.
After that, come the ultra beasts, if your playing SM, or USUM.
And then, the pokedex finishes it ends with mythicals. That is why Mew comes after Mewtwo
Deoxys isn't exactly a mythical anymore.
It’s still mythical, just because it can be found in one game doesn’t mean it isn’t a mythical.
Canon wise, why are Pokemon like Tangrowth so much further than their pre-evs? It makes sense as numerical order since it's a game, but what about for the experts inside the game? What would their logic be for numbering them like that?
